BIRTHDAY AND GIFTS

Tomorrow is Lucas's and Adrian's birthday.

The 5th birthday has always been of importance in their family and it always should be celebrated between family members only.

Because of that Adrian and Lucas wouldn't be able to attend each other birthdays.

Both of them did feel sad about it but they couldn't do anything about it no matter what they do so they decided to throw a birthday party the next day where they would invite their friends and families.

Since they couldn't meet tomorrow, they both will exchange their gift today.

No matter how much Lucas try to act like he didn't care, he would always thoughtfully pick a gift for Adrian.

Lucas gifted him a watch which was of the latest model and it was a pair watch.

It has the function of observing the health of the wearer and also shows the health condition of its partner too.

So if ever Adrian has any health issues Lucas would know immediately and so does Adrian.

This watch could adjust its size according to its owner hand size so it won't be a problem even if they grow later as it would automatically adjust its size.

It has a customize effect on it which was personally designed as per Lucas's request.

Adrian was over the moon when he got this watch as his gift.

Lucas gifting him this watch and with a pair one, it means he is willing to share his personal information which made him ecstatic.

" Thanks, Lucas," Adrian hugged him tightly and peck him on his cheek.

Adrian himself wanted to gift him something like this but with Lucas personality, he would definitely not agree so he just let it be but to his surprise, Lucas himself gifted him one.

But Adrian also knows if he had gifted something like this Lucas would be too shy to wear it so it is perfect like this as it would help to maintain Lucas's self-respect and pride.

Lucas was annoyed because of the kiss but seeing Adrian happy he let it be.

Lucas didn't want to give this kind of gift but since they would be out of touch with each other for a long time, so after long thought he bought this watch which would at least help to ease his worry.

And Lucas was pleased that he bought this gift for Adrian.

Adrian bought a pen for both of them as a gift.

It was an ordinary pen, it's just that it has infinite ink and could be used anywhere, you could think of.

It has a special effect which will be known later on.

" Thanks, I love it," Lucas sincerely answered.

After exchanging gifts, Adrian stays for a while then return home.

Lucas was asleep when he feel someone poking his face, he unconsciously tries to swat but he was unable instead he heard the giggles.

Lucas groggily open his eyes, annoyingly asked " who?"

Instead of a reply, he heard giggles.

" Dada, hwappy borthdawy, Luna wishes her brother a birthday in between her giggles as she saw him wake up.

Lucas instantly woke up as he heard his sister's toothy wishes.

Lucas rubbed his eyes and look around the room to find Luna.

Only then does he notice his mother and father present in his room with Luna and to his surprise his room was fully decorated.

Lucas was dazed,' how come I didn't even woke up when they decorated my room,'

Seeing her son dazed and speechless, Olivia walk up to him and hugged then pinched his cheek, " Happy birthday dear son."

" Thanks, mom, but where is my gift," Lucas playfully asked for a gift.

" Gift! oops, I forgot," Olivia exclaimed in surprise.

Then before Lucas could say anything she gave him a jewellery box, in it there was a single blue diamond earpiece.

It was left behind by Olivia's mother for her and now she gives this one to Lucas as for Luna all her other jewellery would be left for her.

It was kind of a family heirloom it was simple but was touched with sentiments of the preceding generation.

" This was given to me by your granny and now I will give to you and hope you will keep it safe and with you forever, She has asked me to give it to my firstborn so take it as your granny's blessing," Olivia explained.

Olivia rarely talks about her family as she was an orphan since she could remember and was brought up by her family butler/caretaker left by her parents behind.

Her parents have left their entire estate to her.

However, exclusively this piece of diamond was left for her firstborn.

Lucas was touched.

He silently nodded his head to his mother's word.

" Hey, it's my turn now, Happy birthday son," Eugene suddenly walk up to Lucas then hugged him and pat his back.

Eugene doesn't want his wife and son to be sad remembering the elders, especially his wife.

" And here is your gift," Eugene walk to the side table then pick a bundle of books and handed them to Lucas.

Lucas was confused but when he open the books he was surprised.

Olivia was annoyed by Eugene's gift, who would give their son books on their birthday, she was about to scold her husband for being an idiot only to hear a surprised gasp from her son.

" Thanks, dad, it is the best gift you have ever given till this date," Lucas happily hugged his father.

Eugene patted his back and smiled.

It took him some time to arrange this gift but it was worth it.

His son's smile told him that all his hard work was paid.

" What's so special about this book," Olivia confusedly asked her son.

" Mom, you don't know anything, dad brought me my favourite books with author signature especially dedicated to me, ahh! dad is so awesome," Lucas scold his mother for not understanding and quickly explain to her.

Olivia was amused.

" Dada!" Luna irritatingly cried.

' I woke you up and you forgot about me hmm,' Luna scold her brother in her mind.

" Oh, my baby, sorry," Lucas quickly apologise.

"Humph!" Luna ignores him.

" Oh, does my little Luna prepare for her favourite brother, I am looking forward to it, won't Luna give it to her brother," Lucas pitifully asked.

Seeing her brother sad, Luna was distressed.

She wants to give her present to her brother but she was angry at him for ignoring her for such a long time.

However, when she looks at her brother sad and wretched face she finally sighs and gives in.

' I only give it to you cause you look sad ok,' thinking like that Luna handed her gift to him.

Luna prepared a handmade birthday gift for her brother.

" She made it herself and didn't even let me help her," Olivia explained.

It was a birthday card with crooked looking cake and a jumbled happy birthday wish.

Luna anxiously peeks at her brother's expression.

She started to feel bad when she saw her brother stunned face and was about to snatch the card however she saw her brother cry.

" Oh! Luna, it was the best gift I have ever received," Lucas pecked her sister between his sobs.

" It's okk brother, don't cry I will giwft you even beweter gift on next borthdway ok," Luna promised as she wipe her brother's tears.

Lucas laugh at her attempt to coax him but quickly nodded his head so he won't make her angry from his laughter.
