Mingyu, since childhood had got everything he wanted.
His parents are loving and caring towards him and has fulfilled his wishes since the time he remembers.
But there were also times when he had demanded something to them and they had firmly refused him.
His mother had recalled his childhood many times by sharing the forgotten memories with him. She used to tell him that he was usually a good and obedient child but once he used to want something, he would stubbornly chase it or make them buy something he wants by any means.
When he was a child, he wasn't used to hear people saying no to him.
But things started to change in his teenage years when he got acquainted with so many friends in his friend group, he started to learn letting go.
Letting go of the things he wants to someone else. He stopped chasing after something endlessly for the happiness of others.
Even he wasn't aware when he started to give up on something he wanted, so he has never got jealous for a long time.
He just felt sad for not having what others have but he learned to let go.
Until today....
Mingyu was standing infront of see through glass door and looking at the scene where Wonwoo was standing infront of Jiwan while resting his forehead on her shoulder.
He looked so much at peace. Though there was some distance between them and he wasn't hugging her but he had his hands firmly on her waist. The vibe he was giving were that of him finding his solace.
Mingyu's hands were shaking and he didn't take off his eyes from both of them and didn't even blink for once. He stared at them, stared at how Jiwan's hand was caressing Wonwoo's back in a comforting way, stared until he could feel his eyes sting and a drop of water gather at the corner of his eyes.
He clinched his fist, his nails digging his palm, thought his nails weren't long but he still felt the pain. He felt painful all over his body and a sense of helplessness overtook him again.
Maybe something called jealousy was hugging him, snaking around him like a poisonous snake that inflects emotional pain.
The snake is tightening it's grasp every second.
It's getting more painful for Mingyu.
He finally came to his senses and strode away quickly with long steps.
The corridor leading to the class room was dark for some reason. The class itself was dark as well with little light. Maybe it was a powercut. So he was able to see them but they weren't able to and didn't see him. They both were unaware of a spectator spectating them and wishing with all his heart to tear them apart and become one with Wonwoo.
Mingyu felt so much anger building up inside his body that he didn't care if there were people around him in the alley and punched the cement wall by his side. The punch didn't do much to the wall but Mingyu's fist got red and his fingers oozed blood as they got grazed.
Though the amount of blood was very little but he kept punching the wall a few times so the wound got bigger and his hand became blooded.
The few people around him who saw his actions ran away in shock and fear, scared that he is a psychopath and would harm them as well.
Mingyu laughed mockingly at himself. He was angry with himself, with the situation, angry that his heart was still telling him to go back and seperate them both.
His feet almost taking him there again to see what they are doing now. Are they still being intimate? Or are they kissing already? Or making out??
Stop!
Mingyu said to himself.
He can't imagine more, he can't imagine further or he would really breakdown here, in this now abandoned alley.
If only he hadn't followed Wonwoo back halfway on his way to home.
He had just wanted to ask Wonwoo for his cousin's phone number. He could have asked him afterwards! Why did he follow him and saw that scene?!
Mingyu felt angry again and punched the wall for the last time. His head throbbing with anger as he clenched his teeth still feeling his blood boil.
Mingyu also felt helpless because if he is gonna have such a huge reaction after seeing Wonwoo hug someone else then in the future when he dates and marry someone and become a family man with children, at that time what is he going to do? Would he be able to watch all of this happen before his own eyes?
Is he going to-'stop! No, don't think about anything Mingyu' he said to himself.
This is the one thing that Mingyu is good at. Whenever he feels like he is on the verge, he tries to extract himself and be normal again.
It's a good thing but this also suppresses his emotions. If suppressed for too long it might explode one day.
Mingyu though to himself, 'Didn't he say in the van that he just had a crush on her? Then why are the things progressing so fast between them? Does she likes him too? Will they start dating too?... '
He started walking his way home in a lifeless manner.
'Am I still going to deny my feelings? Accepting them is easier' he thought to himself.
"I will just accept my feelings and ignore them." He said out loud.
The sky has started to turn dark now but there was still some orange glow painting the sky.
The same orange light falling on Mingyu making his shadow walk behind him tilting to his right side, giving an illusion of a lonely man with only his shadow to accompany him.
