Learning to talk

-------- Rain's POV -------

After I got back to my room I got changed out of my uniform and into my pj's I sat on my bed, and started to practice pushing air through my mouth like kongo-sensei said, I pushed various amounts of air through my mouth at different speeds and moving my jaw like I was talking.

"..."

*wheeze*

*whistle*

"D-Dia"

"B-Bort"

As I kept trying I got the hang of it I stopped stuttering when saying some names next I'm going to try a sentence, like they say practice makes perfect.

"Phos is a klutz the grass is green the sky is bl-...."

It seems like I reached my limit still got a long way to go before I can hold a proper conversation, but at least I'm making progress and I can respond yes and no now that helps.

----- Dia's POV -----

When I was walking back to my room to call it a night I had heard an unknown person's voice it sounded really soothing, and they were saying my name and Bort's but for some reason they were stuttering, I decided to follow the voice to find the source.

"D-Dia"

"B-Bort"

As I kept going I ended up near Rain's room the voice seemed to be coming from there, so I crept up to the door to see who was talking and to my surprise it was Rain I'm so happy rain is learning how to talk.

"Phos is a klutz the grass is green the sky is bl-...."

It seems like every night Rain practices to talk before going to bed, I'm glad that they are making good progress, I decided to head to my room with a smile on my face.

*smiles*

------- Rain's POV ------- Time skip -------

I woke up early in the morning and started to practice talking some more I want to surprise kongo-Sensei during the meeting this morning, to start practice I always take a few deep breaths to start the air flow since I'm not used to it then I move my jaw and lips and finally I combine blowing air out and moving my jaw at a constant speed.

"..."

*wheeze*

*whistle*

"Phos is a klutz that gets into trouble, the grass is green, the sky is blue"

*inhale*

*exhale*

*inhale*

"Dia is nice, Bort is scary, jellyfish glow, the moon is green"

I think I got a hang of this talking thing now I need some practical testing to see how good I am everyone should be up by now so let's head to the meeting room.

------- pov change no-one -------

"Dia is nice, Bort is scary, jellyfish glow, the moon is green"

While the other gems were walking past Rain's room they heard a voice coming from it, and they had no clue who it was but the voice sounded so soothing it was nice.

"Who is that"

"I don't know"

"That voice is so soothing"

"Yes it's nice"

Everyone began crowding around the door and making a racket soon almost everyone in the school was near Rains room door, except for kongo-sensei who was waiting in the meeting room wondering why no-one was there yet.

------- Rain's POV -------

It's so loud early in the morning did something happen that threw everyone in a panic? I guess I should get ready and head out to see what's up.

*Creak*

As soon as I opened the door I saw that everyone was crowded around my door it spooked and confused me a lot.

'What are they all doing in front of my door did I do something I shouldn't have?'

"U-Um can I help you guys you all startled me did something happen?"

""Whoa it was Rain talking!!""

"Y-yeah iv been practicing for a while now"

""oooooo""

'Good for me, they don't know I only spent a few minutes last night and this morning to practice'

After everything calmed down a bit everyone was gradually dispersing to the meeting room, I also started heading there no doubt sensei is going to be mad that we are all late but what can you do?

"You're all late why?"

""whddjfhdfhfkjdhgkh""

"One at a time"

"Rain was talking so everyone gathered round to hear"

"Ya ya and Rain's voice was super nice"

" Yup yup it was"

"Hmm rain was talking that is good indeed"

And so for most of the meeting I was the center of attention we all dispersed shortly after to do routs the same as usual but people talked to me some and, it was fun getting to talk to everyone instead of just listening all the time now we can hold a proper conversation.

' Haha I'm sooo happy I can talk to everyone now'

On patrol, it was raining so no Lunarians showed up so it was smooth sailing and after patrol some of us played cards in Banito's room that was fun too.
