Chapter 20: Silver

After thinking carefully for a sec, Tô Thần roared:

"Chubby, I told you last time."

"I'll beat ya whenever you dare to appear in front of my face"

"you think my threat is a joke?"

After roaring, Tô Thần took out his cursed butcher knife and threw it at Chubby. 

Scared by the knife, Chubby quickly hid behind Silver. 

Silver calmly caught the knife with her bare left hand, then twisted her neck to look into Tô Thần's eyes.

Tô Thần pretended to be fearful, fleeing into the 3rd building. 

Chubby saw that, quickly shouted:

"Chief, you must take vengeance for me."

"Kill him, all my property will be yours."

Chubby's eyes were filled with (fake) irrational hatred. 

Silver heard that, melting into a puddle, swiftly going after Tô Thần. 

Tô Thần casted Flickers 3 times, successfully escaped into the 3rd building. 

Silver stopped right before the door. 

The 3rd building had been quite a mess lately, she didn't really want to come in. 

Unexpectedly, Tô Thần suddenly gave his middle finger out from the door and simultaneously ignited a beeswax. 

The beeswax burned only for a sec, Silver's eyes turned red, immense resentment and hatred emitted. 

Chubby retracted his neck a bit.

Tô Thần was a madman, igniting a beeswax in front of a half-red-clothed-evil. 

Affected by the beeswax, Silver violently struck the door and entered the 3rd building. 

It must live and tear that disgusting guy apart.

Chubby hesitated for a few seconds, then followed Silver into the building. 

Hiding in the darkness, the weeping boy peeked over the corner. 

That terrifying guy was actually chased down by an evil. 

This aroused curiosity inside him, making him peep through a hole in the front door. 

"Silver, right?"

"Your bravery is praiseworthy"

"you dare to chase me?" 

Tô Thần grabbed the cursed butcher knife and put the blade to her throat.

Chubby was terrified by the bloodtide, he didn't know becoming a red-clothed evil was that easy!

This leveling rate was outrageous!

"Chief, I was forced!!!"

Chubby nervously said when encountering filled with pure hatred eyes of Silver. 

The person Silver resented the most was not Tô Thần, but Chubby who drove her into this situation. 

She should have seen through its malicious deception. 

"Chubby, not bad."

"From now on, you are my subordinate."

"you are under my protection."

Chubby quickly flattered: "Big brother, you are so kind-hearted. I'll be your most loyal evil hereafter."

"Big brother let me lie down and I won't stand up!"

Chubby patted his chest to show his loyalty. 

Silver ground her teeth, forcefully struggled to break out of the bloodtide. 

She would tear apart Chubby for sure If Hồng Linh didn't imprison her. 

"Do you want to live?" 

Tô Thần sat in front of her, asked warmly. 

Silver kept silent, her eyes conveyed that even death couldn't tame her resentful soul. 

"Hồng Linh, jam her into the toilet sump."

"Remember, open her mouth and force her to swallow all. We will make her empty all the sumps in our building until she yields."

Tô Thần clapped his hands and stood up.

Silver trembled a bit, her eyes were filled with fright. 

She wasn't afraid of death, but how merciless and wicked could he be to even come up with a torture like that. 

And who was evil here? Even a half-red-clothed evil like Silver thought Tô Thần was more evil-like than she was. 

Seeing the fear in her eyes, Tô Thần signalled Hồng Linh to reveal her body. 

She was a maiden, around 16 years old. 

Since she was a water evil, her skin was terribly pale. 

Tucking up her ruffled hair, Tô Thần opened her mouth and investigated. 

Tô Thần swore her mouth looked like a mini aquatic ecosystem with lots of grass and water. 

"Don't move." 

Tô Thần stuck his hands in her mouth and weeded all of them. 

After a while, she finally could move her tongue to speak. 

Tô Thần glanced at Chubby. 

Chubby quickly lay down and Tô Thần sat down on its body. 

Tô Thần didn't have much knowledge of her background story. 

All he knew was that she had been cyberbullied when she had been alive, got depressed and then committed suicide by jumping into a lake, turned into a water evil. 

"I'll spare your life with 2 conditions."

"First, I need your makeup box."

Silver's pupils constricted a bit, how was he aware of her makeup box?

"In... In... home... inside." 

Silver struggled to say a single simple sentence after having not talked for ages. 

"Chubby, bring it here as quickly as possible." 

Tô Thần stood up. 

Chubby nodded and left hurriedly without saying a word. 

"Second, you will be my supporter until I become the chief of this building."

Silver nodded: "Accept."

Tô Thần wasn't asking her, but telling her. 

She didn't want to be shoved into a sump. 

"For compensation, I can help you reach red-clothed level."

"You sure want to be strong to take revenge, no?"

Silver suddenly raised his head. She neither knew how Tô Thần knew so much about her nor did she comprehend Tô Thần's kindness. 

She desperately craved to be stronger.

"Good ~" Silver seriously nodded this time.

Tô Thần chose to accept. 

What set Evils apart from Humans was, except for infinite lifespan, Evils were technically extremely honest. 

If an evil had a promise, they would do their best to fulfill that promise. 

Until the contract ended, Silver would be Tô Thần's most loyal backer. 

Besides, Tô Thần didn't dare to kill Silver due to Spring's protection. 

She and Tô Thần were colleagues after all, lending a hand when she needed was surely the common courtesy.
