No one was around. Just them, the moon, the calm sea and the dark entrance.

The sound of their steps on the stone ground was the only disturbance that they could hear from inside the tunnel.

The occasional sharp intake of breath was normal as the air quality in the passageway was thin, making it impossible to breath fine while trekking.

Due to the lack of maintenance, parts of the tunnel had crumbled and plants and water started to take over. With no torches or flashlights to light their way, the group used the glow from their wristbands to light the way.

A few trips and stumbles with curses mixed in, help to ease their frustrations as they saw no end to this darkness.

The air got staler and thinner as they walked. They could felt no breeze on their faces anymore nor the taste of salt of their lips from the sea.
