Almost There

Haryk breathed easy when the navigation said they are five days from their destination. 

Bidian Kingdom was now long behind him and all he has to do now is make it to Crystal City safely. 

Whether his father stays there or not is not going to be his problem. Rather he hopes the older male will immediately go back to his fancy palace.

"You think your life will be better like this?" Neia said when he saw his son's bright smile.

Haryk rolled his eyes. Will this guy ever give it a rest?

"Yes, I do think my life will be better like this."

"How?"

"Are you asking this because you really don't know how hard my life has been up til now or do you really just not care?" Haryk snapped.  He stared at his father with contempt in his eyes. "Do you really need to be that cold hearted towards me?"

Neia froze, unable to handle the pleading coming from his son' eyes. He remained silent until Haryk huffed and looked away from him.
