Holy Warrior

This will be a story about a young man saving a damned World. Read if you like. Don't if you Don't. No pressure. I will try to get out a chapter a day during week days. My weekends are to hectic, to write the best chapters I can. So to make this a quality novel, I cannot write on the weekends. P.S This is my first novel, so if you like it. I would appreciate it if you added it to your library, and kept up to date on it. Still working out the kinks of my writing style.

Escape (2)

In the room that they hid in.

Marhaus looks at Christopher shocked, 'It's as if he can see the future. I couldn't even hear their footsteps before he told me to head for the room.'

Marhaus, "Well I guess we can trust your eyes.".. "You are doing a good job for a pampered prince. Keep it up, and we may even get out of here alive."

Christopher not knowing whether to take that as a compliment, or an insult. "We should keep going."

Marhaus nodding his head in agreement, picks up the small prince. "Let's go."

Christopher understands he has to be carried. Although he is embarrassed, there is a massive difference in the levels between them.

They quickly existed the room, heading right at the end of the hall. Following Christopher's direction they miss multiple groups of knights.

After a minute had gone by, Christopher opened up the Miracle Store. He then spent the 1 FP he had on a 500 psi paintball gun, from the modern day.

Later they came to a stop infront of an inane wall.

Marhaus confused, "Why are we stopped? Did your skill time out?

Christopher, "No. There's a hidden lever that was hidden in plain vew. It reveals a secret passageway that leads out of the castle."

Marhaus, "Then what are you waiting for?Activating it?"

Christopher, "I can't just yet. We have been followed."

"Nice work kid. How'd you know? I'm pretty sure I didn't make a sound."

Marhaus spins around unsheathing his sword and entering a battle stance. "Crap, I can't see anyone!".. " It most be an assassin."

Assassin, "Well it doesn't matter. I get payed wether you get killed by the incompetent Knights, or by my own hands.".. "I was hoping I could avoid an unnecessary battle, but a jobs a job."

Marhaus steps in front of Christopher grabbing his shield from his back. "Stay behind me!"

Hiss. Hiss. Hiss. Could be heard coming from behind Marhaus.

The assassin on alert slashes the oncoming little balls. As more of the mysterious little balls came whizzing at the assassin.

Christopher, 'I knew this world come in handy.' "You looked so interesting hiding in the shadows While you were following us. So I prepared this special gift, just for you."

The assassin seeing his hands covered in little spolches of paint. Looked all over his own body, finding that it was also covered in paint.

Startled the assassin said, "What is this?".. "Wait you can see me?"

Christopher, "We all can see you now."

Marhaus now able to see the assassin, lunges forward using Charge to close the distance as fast as he can. Then using Slash he brings his sword down on the assassin.

The assassin although started by the sudden change in situation. Still manages to block with both of his daggers.

Christopher, "Go all out! He is a speed type, if you use all your power, you will win!"

Hearing the encouragement from the Prince. Marhaus uses his skill Brawn, doubling his strength for the next 10 minutes.

The assassin couldn't hold him back any longer. So he started diverting the slash to his left side, while moving towards the other side to go around Marhaus. Heading for the Prince. 'At least if I get him I will complete the mission from the Queen.'

Noticing this, Marhaus changed his grip. Tilting the blade of the sword to face his opponent activating Slash again. With the added strength from Brawn and Slash, his blade catches up to the assassin in a split second, slicing him in half.

A look of shock and horror was plastered all over assassin's face. All too plane as day for only Christopher to see. Afterwards the assassin's upper body slams into the floor, sliding infront of Christopher.

The assassin's Perc ended, upon his death. His body was now visible to any who looked in it's direction.

Marhaus hearing a Ding, 'Did I just level up? What level was that guy? He had to have been at least level 26. I needed almost 150,000 experience points to level up.'

Christopher still in shock over witnessing a person getting sliced in half. Also heard, 'Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding. Congratulations for passing the first threshold. The reward is in the Item Box. Ding.'

Although Christopher heard all of those messages. All he could think about was that he had helped kill someone.

Marhaus turned around to see Christopher looking at the body. His face pale from a lack of blood.

He then rushed over to Christopher blocking his vew. "Hey, kid. I know this must be hard. Seeing your first dead body and all, but I really need you right now.".. "You are the only one who knows how to open the secret passageway."

Hearing this Christopher snaps back to reality long enough to pull on what looked like any old brick, worn from the passage of time.

Suddenly a portion of the wall opens up.

Marhaus after putting away his sword and shield, gently picked up Christopher and headed into the doorway.

The wall closes behind them.

Just after taking a few steps the empty torches suddenly lit up. Revealing a thin passage with stairs leading down.

Marhaus looking at Christopher with worry in his eyes. "Just a little longer young prince, we are almost out of the castle."

Midway through the passage, They stop at a strange stone gate.

Marhaus, "What's a stone gate doing down here?"

Christopher just before passing out takes a look at the gate. His skill is just about, used up. "Marhaus can you brake that gate?

Marhaus, "It shouldn't be to much trouble. Why?"

Christopher, "There is something we will need during our journey in there."

Marhaus confused simply complies. "Well you've known what you are talking about so far."

Marhaus takes out his shield, "Charge."

With Brawn still active, combined with Charge. The sturdy stone gate stood no chance. As the gate crumbled a faint reflection shined back at them.

When the ruble settled, they both got a clear vew of what was behind.

Marhaus, "I've never seen so many gold aureus in one place.".. "In all honesty. It is getting harder and harder to even see one Roman coin now a days."

Christopher's skill telling him to get closer to the golden coin. "Marhaus can you please put me close to the coins?" He said still weak from shock.

Marhaus, "Sure." Not even bothering to ask why, as Christopher seemed to be too weak to even reply.

Marhaus gently carries Christopher to the mountain of gold, and places him down.

Christopher struggles to get on to his knees. Then he leans forward and places his hands on the coins.

Instead of the coldness he expected to feel, he feels a familiar warmth. Inspired by the feeling, he closes his eyes and prays, "Oh heavenly father if you forgive me of my sins, please give me a sign."

As soon as he said this, the golden coins as if springing to life began to glow. Sounds of Angels singing could be heard.

The light and singing gradually increased every second. Untill it had traveled through the walls of the room, the secret passageway, all throughout the castle, spread into the city, and even through the sky reaching to the clouds in the sky.

The night had turned into day and everyone in a fifty mile radias could see the brilliant light, and singing of Angels.
