Tiny Little Hope

There were no distractions that appeared here, trying to piques Kuro's interest, or desire to changes. But it was the worst.

Because an unknown spell was launched to him and he can't dodge it. Rather, it's as if the spell was magnet and his body was being attracted to it

As this one weren't an offensive spell, Kuro was able to stay alive. But the spell that he is in effect, were much worse than normal offensive spell.

Suddenly, in front of Kuro, a woman teleported, appearing amidst the tremor between mana. "Hmph."

The woman who had an violet hair, wearing an witch-like attire, hmph'ed. Then, she sat on the air just right before the door to other room, calmly watching Kuro begin to suffer.

Kuro who got affected by an illusion-type spell, groaned as something worse than intense pain came.

Trauma.

Times 3.

-----

"It's all because of you…"

A pair of eyes filled with hate looked at Kuro, while holding his leg on the hospital's bed.

"You ruined my life."

"Did it feel good ruining my career just because he is better than you?"

…Guilt filled Kuro.

-----

An immense headache suddenly attacked Kuro. He wanted to lay down and try his best to suppress it but he moved forward.

-----

They died and Kuro was helpless. If he went with them, could the both of them saved? First of all, couldn't Kuro have stopped them?

"It is said that their child killed them."

At the ceremony, Kuro heard a whisper but he tried his best to not look at them—Kuro looked at the ground.

"Why did they have to die…"

Someone was crying.

'I am the side that one to cry.'

But no tears came out. Besides the despair written in his face.

Should I just kill myself…

The thought of quitting filled Kuro.

-----

Kuro's heart began to beat at much faster rate, and the headache just increased. Finally, the blood began to ooze out from his nose and flow out from his eyeballs.

-----

In this supposedly happy 2nd life, his mother died rather quickly.

"It's because of you that she died. IF YOU WEREN'T BORN."

"You have no rights to live."

"Useless."

"Piece of shit."

"Tools that can't even be used."

A beating from his father was everyday now, and no matter how much it hurts, he tried his best to now let out a sound. Because wailing in pain, only increased his father's anger. The words of negativity directed toward him was installed deeply in his brain, as if it was a work of hypnosis.

"That's right. Since we don't have money anymore and you're basically leeching me off, why don't you be useful to me and sell your organ."

Of course Kuro had no right to disagree—because he is nothing but a useless piece of shit whose use is only to get beaten up, right?

It hurt…

Why was I even born…

For what reason am I still alive…

-----

Kuro's heart stopped for a moment, falling in front of him. As the girl thought that he finally died, he vomited an unhealthy amount of blood on the floor, messing it.

As he coughed, the more blood ooze from his holes and the pain just increased.

"Why resist?" The witch tried to question, but his current state were too bad to have a free time to listen someone's question.

With a shaky body, Kuro tried to stand up once again and step forward—passing the pond of blood he just made.

-----

The children playing with themselves while Kuro was avoided like a plague.

He tried to satisfies his loneliness through talking the 2 ego inside but, it was but a temporal solutions. In the end, he was talking with himself.

Looking at the children making friends with each other made him jealous.

Noticing these children avoiding made it feel painful for him.

Why me…

Kuro's consciousness began to become more faint.

At that moment, someone came by his side, like a flashlight amidst the darkness. Like a small hope thrown inside the mass of despair, refusing to surrender.

That small hope slightly extended her house as she called his name. "Kuro."

Not the useless ,him. Not the piece of shit, him. Not a tools that can't be used, him. Not the him who killed his parents. Not the him who ruined someone's life.

Just him—Kuro.

That hope of light was terribly tiny compared to the mass of despair contained within him, but it was infinitely warm, and comfortable. Unlike the hell he suffered. It made him want to stay like this—being embraced by this tiny hope for eternity.

Kuro closed his eyes for a brief moment before opening it, embracing the tiny little hope so that it won't go away anywhere—never giving it a chance to leave him.

"Thank you."

-----

Kuro stepped forward, his breath was messy, and blood continued to flow from all sorts of holes in his head. Whether it's ears, nose, eye socket, mouth.

It's not that the pain in his head has disappeared, nor did he regained his left sight, or the hole in his left palm was filled with healthy flesh.

But compared to before, he was just more, free/open-minded now. Of course his fatigue didn't disappear—he was still paining all over—but weirdly, he felt like he could walk in front. As if, the shackle in his body was released.

Kuro saw the lady in front of him but as she wasn't willing to move, he just continued stepping forward speechlessly, only determination in his eyes.

Unexpectedly, she didn't pass through him like from the knife from before he expected. But finally, when Kuro's body touch collide with the woman's hips, she finally moved.

What remained the last were the door. As Kuro tries to open the door by pushing down the doorknob, he halted his action and sounded out weakly. "…that's right… keep… walking… forward…"

Ignoring the door in front of him, Kuro stepped in front, passing through the door and another room entered his sight.

Accomplishing the goal, released all the stress, adrenaline, all sorts of determination moving forward. As soon as he entered another room, he fell unconscious.

A childish silhouette were his last scenery before he fell to deep sleep.

I had a hard time writing this chapter because my entire life, I have been avoiding tragic story because it’s sad. I also didn’t watch Your Lies in April because I didn’t want to be heartbroken.
