Dawg the Mad Dog

"It's just a win-win situation. I'll just play two more rounds and I'll get it back…" Dougett frowned, his eyes fixed on his cards.

Ivan shook his head in frustration and waited.

It was said to be two games, but when the addiction kicked in, Doggett played for another hour. Fortunately, his luck seemed to have changed this time, and he actually won several times in a row.

After earning back some money, Doggett finally stopped after losing another game. He felt that something was wrong with the game today and was about to pull Ivan away.

"Dougett, don't you want to play anymore? A few more rounds and you might be able to win them all back…" The goblin stall owner said with a smile as he tossed a few gold Galleons.

"Never mind, we'll talk about it when we have the time," said Doggett, waving his hand dismissively.

"What a coward… Are you so afraid of losing?"

The goblin stall owner grumbled unhappily and reached out to collect the Galleons on the table. However, as soon as he finished speaking, a large hand grabbed his head and slammed him against the table…

Bang!

Several cracks appeared on the round mahogany table, and a golden Galleon tumbled to the floor. The goblin's ugly, wrinkled head was badly bruised, and red blood and white snot came out of its nose.

"Who are you calling a coward?" Dougster seemed to have gone mad. He had no intention of stopping. He grabbed the goblin's head and slammed it against the wooden table a few times. Then, he grabbed the kettle on the side and poured water on it…

An ear-piercing wail echoed through the Wizarding Market, attracting the attention of the surrounding wizards. However, no one came forward to help. They were just watching the fun. It was the law enforcement team's job to manage order.

The two wizards playing cards were equally stunned, and one of them took a few steps back, obviously not wanting to be involved.

Another wizard in a green robe, however, reacted and drew his wand, pointing it at Doggett.

However, before he could cast the spell, the cup on the table, which had been knocked over, turned into a purple striped snake and bit the wizard's wand-wielding right hand. The snake's long body coiled around the wizard's right hand.

"Ah!" The green-robed wizard screamed in pain, and only then did he notice Ivan's presence.

"Stupefy!" Ivan waved his wand, and the green-robed wizard fell to the ground.

Ivan didn't know what was wrong with Dougatt, but he wasn't going to hold back now that the fight had started. After dealing with the trouble, Ivan looked warily at the other wizard, who was playing cards.

He would not become arrogant just because he had easily knocked down an adult wizard.

However, the wizard simply raised his hand, indicating by his actions that he meant no harm and that he had nothing to do with the stall-holder goblins and would never get involved.

More to the point, the wizard thought the pair were too ferocious for him to fight…

Ivan did not expect this reaction, but he did not let his guard down.

When he saw that Ivan had taken care of the matter for him, he turned to face the goblin with his wand pressed against the goblin's neck.

"Who did you just call a coward? Who?"

The goblin stall owner, whose head was pressed against the mahogany table, still did not understand why he had been hit. His head was a mess, and his mouth was broken.

"I… I'm the coward…"

At that moment, there was a commotion in the crowd. Ivan looked over and saw a group of neatly dressed black-robed wizards running towards them.

"Help!" cried the goblin stall owner, tears streaming down his face as if he had just seen his savior. In the next instant, his head hit the corner of the table and he passed out.

Several black-robed wizards looked over and even drew their wands. It was obvious that they were after them. Ivan tightened his grip on his wand, and Doggett released some of his anger. After knocking the goblin out, he pulled Ivan closer and cast a spell.

"Phantom Shift…"

The multi-coloured magical rays of light had already struck. Fortunately, Doggett had mastered the spell at the right moment, and all the spells missed.

There was another space-switching, which was not much better than when Floo powder was used.

When Ivan looked around again, he found himself in a shabby alley, surrounded by rubbish, and the houses around him were in ruins.

Now that they were safe, Ivan felt a surge of anger. This fight was ridiculous. Just because the goblin called him a coward?

Are you out of your fucking mind?

Not to mention, he was chased by a group of wizards and had to flee in panic. This feeling was terrible!

Yvonne was about to protest when Dougett's face fell and he grabbed her by the arm.

"Let's go! They have a magical object that can locate a Disapparated Shadow!"

"Who are these black-robed wizards after us? The Ministry?" Ivan asked, suppressing his anger, knowing this was not the time to argue.

"Of course not. They are self-employed wizards employed by the Wizarding Market. Many people call them the Regulators, the ones in charge of order…" Doggett had calmed down a little by now. Although there were still spots of drunken red on his face, he was still conscious.

After taking Ivan to the nearest run-down house, Doggett said in a low voice, "Hide inside until I've dealt with them or lured them away!"

"You think you can handle them?" Ivan asked sarcastically. From what he had seen, there were at least five members of the Black Robe Enforcement Squad.

"Don't look down on me, they're just a bunch of useless people…" Doggett grinned and instructed him to hide before running deeper into the alley.

But how would it end? Before Ivan could say anything, Doggart was gone.

Seeing the flickering light in the distance that represented a spell, Ivan sighed and looked back at the house behind him, which was nothing but ruins and brickwork. With a leap, he grabbed the protruding brickwork and climbed to a high place where he could find cover and see how Dougett dealt with the black-robed waste.

As a result…

Ivan watches for a moment, then covers his face with his hands, unable to bear the sight…

Down below, Doggett, completely unable to fight back from the spell-bombing of the five wizards, fled in terror…

It was only occasionally possible to cast a spell or two to hamper those few wizards.

Who the hell is cooking who?
