Chapter 1310
Mrs. York looked at Manie's joyous face, free from any signs of dejection, and breathed a sigh of relief. Curious, she asked, "What good news do you have?"
Manie replied, "Mom, I never expected that Liam Locke is a genius. I've listened to his lectures for only about twenty minutes this afternoon, and now I can solve these difficult problems that have been troubling me for a long time."
"Liam Locke?" Mrs. York furrowed her eyebrows, wondering how his name came up.
"Yes, he is not as useless and weak as I imagined. He has invented many things, he is far better than me."
Seeing the shining light in her daughter's eyes, Mrs. York's heart fluttered anxiously as she quickly asked: "Manie, tell me, you've newly developed feelings for Liam Locke, haven't you?"
Manie's face changed, and she promptly turned away: "No way! I'm not someone who falls in love easily!"
Mrs. York became worried by her reaction.
