The teacher said: "This image of the goddess is the most striking part of the entire painting and also the most likely to spark debate. Her closed-eye expression is handled well. It's like creating white space in writing, leaving enough room for people's imagination, so as not to limit the artistic conception of the painting to a certain aspect."
Alexander Foster also noticed the figure, a memory of the painting he had seen the night before at the Bushes' house flashed through his mind.
In Mane York's work, the goddess's eyes are open; there is more coverage down to her chest, her hands holding two infants, with a slight smile, and the overall color scheme is brighter and livelier than Chloe Collins's current piece.
She did not paint completely according to the original.
The female teacher has a lot of experience; if not for personal issues, she could have been a judge of this year's competition, so she certainly qualifies to evaluate this work.
