chapter seven

After driving for about 30 minutes I finally reached the skull mountain I parked my car and took a pair of sneakers out of my duffle bag . I took my comfy slippers off and quickly wore the sneakers . I dug in my bag and found a flashlight which I packed in case of emergencies .

     I grabbed my stuff and started looking for the trail . I knew that the women asked me to meet her behind but I'm pretty sure that she meant the secret clearly that not so many people know about .

            After looking around a bit I saw the very muddy trail that I needed to take . I started to walked on the trail and went deeper into the deep forest , I guess in some other situation I would be very scared or if I were a human I would be scared of savage wolves hunting . I let out a light chuckle at the thought of me getting hunted by wolves , as I moved up the muddy path I could feel some kind of tension in the air . I almost felt like leaving but now it was too late as I heard voices coming from somewhere near .

         At first I thought I was tricked but then I recognized that voice , I sounded very familiar Miss Milly, my mind immediately went to all the bad thing that could happen at this moment , what if I have been tricked or what if they kidnapped Miss Milly.

I started following the voices I did my best to be as quite as I could , when I could hear the voices clearly I stopped, there in the beautiful clearing stood 4 figures the moon was shining bright on there faces , I could see Miss Milly, my mother and my father standing forming a circle and in the middle of the circle stood Amanda . I stood quietly and started eves dropping on their conversation.

      " Why should we trust her , she has told her something" my mother said in a angry tone .

" Why would I do that " Amanda said confidently " because you what she is and you want her on your side " miss Milly spat .

   " If that's what I wanted then why didn't I kidnap her as a kid , why did I chose to stay away " Amanda challenged .

    " Because she was a kid at that time " my father spat " if I did kidnap her then why am I on a mountain and not where I took her " Amanda said .

   " That's what we want to know , where is she ! And why are you here !" my father asked anger clear in his voice .

I was surprised I knew that they hunted her with there werewolf instincts but why can't they smell me .

      I looked at Amanda and saw that she was looking where I was standing , I stood there without moving . Then I heard her say " my car is at the restaurant" then she looked at the moon and continued " I was having dinner and decided to come here go a few herbs and flower " she said her voice went deep when she said flowers .

That when I realized that she wasn't talking to my dad but she was actually talking to me , she said that her car is at the restaurant meaning it is at moons diner which is just down the hill and then she looked at moon what talking about the car maybe she was trying to say that her car is white then something about flowers . I didn't understand what the flowers were about I knew that her plan to meet me has failed and she wants me to find her car maybe in her car there is a flowers that I need to get .

        I slowly started to walk back to my car but just then I stepped on a twig and it made a snap sound . Without looking back I started walking away from them quickly and quietly . I heard my father " who is it !?" But I didn't stop " it's probably a animal " I heard my mother say and I breathed a sigh of relief .

    In just about 3 minutes I was down the mountain and making my way towards the moon diner in about 2 minutes I was at the parking lot , to my luck there wasn't many cars there at this hour I started to look around and saw a single white car in a row of fully black cars . I walked towards the car and opened the door , to my surprise the door was open but there was no keys in the car .

    I got in and started to look around , I checked the backseat but there was nothing there , I opened the dashboard and saw that a diary which had flowers printed on top of him . Before I could open and read the diary I sensed some people coming towards the car without taking any kind of risk I took the diary and left the parking lot in a hurry , from the corner I saw my father coming with amanda .

I didn't want to wait so I hurried back to where my car was parked , after sitting back in my car I took a deep breath and rested my head on top of the steering .

        I wanted to come here to know what she met by secrets but now I think I have an idea I decide to drive somewhere safe and then read the diary I know going to my apartment was not an option . I looked through my bag and thankfully my card and money were still in there . I think at this time a hotel is the best option.

I started my car and drove to the nearest hotel that I could find it was only 15 minutes aways from the skull mountain.

       I checked in and thankfully the hotel had room service and a hot water I decided to take a shower while my food was getting ready and after that I read that diary .
