Chapter 25

Anastasia stormed out of the study room. She couldn't bear to look at Jamie, couldn't bear to be in the same room as him. She felt betrayed, hurt, and angry all at once.

She walked out of the house, her hand clutching her camera bag. She had no idea where to go, but she knew she needed to leave the house. The fresh air hit her like a slap in the face, but she welcomed it. She needed something to snap her out of the numbness that was creeping over her.

As she walked, her feet carried her to a place she hadn't visited in a long time - her father's grave. She hadn't been here since the funeral, but something drew her to it now.

Anastasia won't say she had the best relationship with her father. However, she won't say she had it worse. Whenever he yelled at her or did something out of character, Anastasia had always believed and comforted herself with a feeling that he might miss her mother.
