unladylike habits

But to save her face, she put back her charming smile on and jogged a little to catch up with him.. she met him heading towards an unfamiliar direction, but she followed him anyways.

she saw him enter an elevator, kaisha was about to enter the elevator when a writing caught her sight.

CEO'S ELEVATOR DO NOT ENTER

"I'll use the public elevator and meet you in the parking lot" kaisha didn't want more problems with the her boss, so she turned, ready to go use the public elevator.. she was about to move when she heard his deep voice.

"you can use this elevator when you're following me, get in let's move"

kaisha turned back and but when she was about to enter, she gave her a look that read 'are you sure I can enter'... she stepped in and pressed a button.

*******

in the car, kaisha sat at the front.. she was happy that the driver was there with them.

they arrived at the venue shortly since it was too far from the office.

kaisha walked at his back, it was hard to keep up with him since his legs were so long and he wasn't walking slowly.

Javier looked back and saw the distance between them and frowned slightly.

"you're meant to be directly behind me"

"but you're walking to fast, I can't keep up..." kaisha caught his cold glare and swallowed her remaining words, immediately she ran towards him, they started walking again, this time Javier walked a little slowly.

just as he was about to enter the elevator, he looked back again and saw she was still a little slow.

"shortie" he muttered as he stared at her.

it reached kaisha's ears, she quickly entered the elevator and moved towards him.

"heyy, I'm not short!" she stood on her toes, trying to prove that she was short.

"you're just too tall hmph" kaisha harrumphed, with her cheek puffed up in anger and her hands crossed on her chest.

Javier stood lazily in a corner staring at her, he watched her behave like a child making an unnecessary fuss.

"you haven't picked a floor" on hearing that, kaisha turned and pressed a button, still fuming with anger.. she hated being called 'short'.

*******

for kaisha time has never gone this slowly.. she looked at the faces of all the clients present. their business talks bored her, especially because this was supposed to be her lunchtime, she was supposed to be eating, not listening to some conversations about stock, investment and whatever.. but nobody made a move to order anything.

under the table the kaisha kept tapping her feet impatiently and clenching her fists, she checked the time again '1:15pm?.... if nobody calls the waiter in the next 5 minutes, I'm going to do it myself '.

sitting beside her was Javier, he looked down and saw kaisha's clenched fist, her little fists were so tight that it was already red... seeing her impatient little face, his lips curled upward but it returned to normalcy within a second.

"let's place our order now" Javier suggested, the clients picked up their menus to place orders, including kaisha who felt like the heavens had answered her prayers.

********

kaisha munched on her lunch, stuffing her mouth with almost everything, without stopping to check if people were looking at her.

on seeing this, Javier tapped her laps under the table to gain her attention.

"Ms Wilhelm, take it easy.. our clients are looking at you and your food isn't running away.. you aren't acting lady-like" he whispered to her, hoping that she would stop eating like a pig.

"ohh, sorry sir.. I'm just really hungry, I'll eat slowly now" kaisha whispered back to Javier... but unfortunately she wasn't a good whisperer, everybody on the table heard her and couldn't help but scorn at her mannerless behavior. Javier mentally facepalmed himself.

'what have I gotten myself into' Javier started to regret bringing her to the meeting.

*********

Javier didn't say a word to her after the incident at the restaurant. kaisha started to anxious, she felt like she not only embarrassed herself, she also embarrassed Javier.

all kaisha wanted to do was to go to her office and hide away from Javier.

the elevator was dead silent, kaisha couldn't bear it.. she wasn't about to let guilty conscience eat her up.

"I know I embarrassed you and your company, I promise I won't eat during any meeting I accompany you too.

please forgive me Mr Marshall"

she folded her hands together and begged him.

"...."

DING

the elevator opened and Javier strolled out gracefully, his tall and lean body was exuding an intimidating yet elegant aura as he moved.

"I should've listened to dad when he said I should stop my unladylike habits" kaisha spoke to herself, looking helpless.

Work went on, kaisha was busy editing some files. she was so engrossed in what she was typing, she only stopped to raise her glasses from her nose bridge.

after a long while of editing files that were meant to be printed, she finally finished..

CRACK CRACK

kaisha cracked fingers and stretched, she let out a long yawn and checked her phone for time.

"16:37!! I'll just go submit this and pack up" kaisha stood up from her chair and stretched once again.

she looked in the mirror in her office to straighten out her clothes and fix her hair.

she walked out of her office and headed to Javier's office, she knocked and went in with waiting for a 'come in'

Javier looked up to see the person that had the nerve to enter his office..

'it can only be her that has the nerve'

'she uses glasses, can she look any prettier?' he thought as he saw the petite figure that walked in.

he was as she strolled in nervously, her head was hung low as she reached his desk.

"I'm done with this file sir, you just need to check them" she dropped a USB flash drive on the desk.

he responded with an "hmm"

"I'll take my leave now, see you tomorrow sir" she turned back to leave, a triumphant smile playing on her full pink lips.

she was still smiling till she heard a statement from him that almost made her fall on her knees.

"you're going to wait till I finish cross-checking the files you edited, then you're going to print them.

so go back to your office and wait patiently" Javier ended he's speech with a low voice, the second half of the sentence was dripping with mockery.
