Chapter 7 - Won't Show My Powers

Snow rushed forward to hold her mother. She looked down at her mother's lifeless body. She turned to look at her father's pitiful state and she looked around to see the entire pack has been thrown Into a chaotic state.

Blood was splattered everywhere in the pack. The cries of agony of both men and women could be heard all around the once peaceful pack.

Snow's eyes darkened and she locked her gaze with the guard standing behind Leo. The guards immediately started gaging, it felt like someone was strangling him.

His hands went to his neck to peel off his assailant's hands but there was no hand. His eyes were laced with tears and he fell to his knees as he was strangled to death.

Snow did the same with the other guards and almost all the guards around Leo fell to their deaths.

Felix noticed this and he looked at Snow but he couldn't see anything unusual about her. She was standing still like a statue. Her fist was tightly clenched and she was looking angrily at her mother's lifeless body.

Leo noticed Felix's suspicious gaze on Snow. He shook his head and decided to distract him. He immediately struggled to hold the last of the guards and he acted like he was strangling him.

"You are still strong enough to kill my people? Felix's paws elongated as he trotted towards him.

"I will kill you all! Leo barked through gritted teeth.

"Okay," Felix nodded and smirked. "Let's see how strong you can be when you bleed to death." Felix dug his paws straight into Leo's neck and then to his chest.

He waited for a while to make sure that Leo bled till he was weak. An evil grin appeared on his face as soon as he noticed that Leo was falling slowly.

"Not so fast, dear cousin" He smirked.

"Keep a close watch on him." Felix barked as he walked away.

Snow rushed towards Leo and she held him close

"Dad" She cried hugging Leo's legs.

"Snow, remember our promise" Alpha Leo weakly stated. "You are not allowed to show your powers to anyone, remember?

"But Dad, I can save the pack. I can save you" Snow said with surety.

She had no doubt that with her powers, she can save the pack. However, Alpha Leo wasn't ready to take the risk.

"You can't" Alpha Leo managed to hold her hand.

"Why? Snow said through tears.

"There are too many of them" Leo's breathing became heavy.

"Dad, please let me do something for the pack. Let me save our people" Snow pleaded, with more tears rolling down her cheek.

"I can't just stand by and watch the pack fall to ruin when I have the power to save it"

"Snow, You can't save it" Alpha Leo closed his eyes to hide the sad tears that were threatening to fall out of his eyes. "This pack was doomed to fall the moment Felix set his eyes on it."

"But Dad..."

"Please Snow, you have to promise me that no matter what happens you won't show your powers to anyone."

Snow opened her mouth but the words just couldn't come out. How could she promise not to show her powers even when her family is crumbling and her entire home is falling to ruin?

She shook her head and cried. "No dad, I can't promise that."

"Snow" Alpha Leo called softly.

He was very weak. He could barely stand. If he wasn't tied with those chains then he would have fallen.

"Please Snow, you have to promise to protect yourself until you've come of age and you're old enough to take care of yourself."

"Dad, I want you to take care of me" Snow cried.

"Yes Snow, I will be with you all the way" Alpha Leo whispered. "Just keep your powers and save yourself until then."

"But Dad..."

"Promise me, Snow, please" Alpha Leo opened his hand and beckoned.

He could already feel life leaving him. His breathing was slowly becoming chopped. He knew she might be able to fend off the invaders but right now, she is just too young and must wait until she has come of age.

"I promise you, Dad, I won't show or use my powers until I have come of age" Snow cried as she reluctantly vowed.

"Thank You, my dear." Alpha Leo leaned forward to kiss her but he couldn't, the chains were holding him back and he was too weak to struggle.

Snow noticed more blood dripping off Leo and she hugged him tightly. "Does it hurt?

"No dear. It's fine."

Snow raised her head to look at Leo. She knew that he was only saying that to keep her from worrying. Even a blind man could tell that he isn't fine, yet, he claims that he is fine.

"Dad, you don't have to lie to ..." Snow turned to reprimand Leo but noticed that his head has fallen forward.

"Dad? She called but got no response. She shook his body but Leo remained stagnant. "No! Dad!! Snow cried loudly.

Felix's guards came there at Snow's loud cry and they all rejoiced to see Leo dead. They checked him properly to confirm that he was dead and they all howled with joy.

Snow held Leo and she remained like a statue, sitting still in that posture for hours until Felix returned after conquering the entire pack.

"I see my dear cousin finally succumbed to fate" Felix feigned a sad expression. "I wanted to see how strong he was, but he ruined the fun" Felix hissed.

"He lasted two hours" One of the guards announced after checking the time.

"Oh" Felix shook his head. "Turns out my cousin isn't as strong as I thought him to be."

"You're still the strongest! The army chorused in Felix's praise.

Felix smirked proudly. He shot Leo one final look and turned to his guards. "Bring him down and feed him to the crows!

"What about the girl? One of the guards asked.

"She will be my slave."

"She will serve me and all of the pack."

"Yay!! All of the armies chorused happily and they all bowed to him.

"All hail the Alpha!!

"All hail Alpha Felix!!

"Enjoy yourselves! Let's celebrate our victory! We now have a home to call ours."

"Hurray!! The army chorused.

"Now let's make a toast to our new home" Felix raised his glass and his men followed suit.

They all clinked their glasses with one another as they chorused loudly,

"Cheers!

"Cheers to the new Alpha! The head guard shouted his toast to Felix and the rest of the pack followed suit.

"Cheers to the Alpha!

A proud smile danced on Felix's face as he watch the people toast to him. He was proud to have finally become an Alpha instead of being tagged a rouge.

The rest of the survivors in the pack were dragged and made to kneel before Felix.

"Bow before your new Alpha!

Snow stood still, watching as her home was ruined and taken over by Felix. She watched her friends get tortured and the female ones were defiled and forced to become wives to the rogues.

She watched her father get thrown into the fields, left alone as food for the crows. She watched her mother's body get dragged and taken to an unknown place.

They weren't given a proper burial deserving them as the Alpha and Luna of the pack.

"I will Avenge you! Snow swore.

She gnashed her teeth and clenched her fist until her hands bled. She stood there watching the damnation of her home and her entire family.

Juliet was dragged in along with the other survivors that were brought to Felix. She noticed Snow's stupefied expression and she held her. She patted her back lovingly.

"It's okay, dear."

"I couldn't do anything" Snow cried in Juliet's arm. "I couldn't save them. I watched him ruin everything!"

"Shh...." Juliet Covered her mouth before someone would hear her.

"Don't say that, Snow. Someone might hear you."

"I will kill him, I swear!"

"Yes, you will. You will revive the pack and chase out the rogues" Juliet assured her. "I trust you can."

"But Dad, wants me to wait until I've come of age."

"Yes dear" Juliet nodded. "You can do it but you have to wait until you are grown up."

"I can do it now" Snow replied stubbornly.

"Snow, you mustn't forget that it's your father's will that you don't show your powers to anyone."

Snow didn't give a reply to Juliet's words. She was mad at herself that despite having so much power, she still wasn't able to save her parents and the pack.

"It's not your fault, Snow," Juliet placed her hand on her head.

She could tell that Snow was blaming herself.

Snow looked up as if she could see her father. "You wanted me to keep my powers hidden, didn't you?

She nodded as her father's smiling face showed up in her mind.

"I promise you father, I won't ever show my powers."
