It had been two weeks since I had last seen Benedito Pereira. He had never called nor texted. I knew I could have as well but I could never muster the courage to even try. What would I even say? How would I say it? 

Last week apparently he had been here whilst I was in Houston for a photoshoot. I was incredibly disappointed he had purposefully avoided me. My meetings with Dita were curter than anything else. In fact it felt dreadful to see her. She never mentioned what she had seen at the hotel that night but her body language told me she did not approve. 

I was glad though they had never mentioned it to anyone. I had run across Ronaldo once when I was at the office and he seemed as cheerful as always. When I subtly asked if Benedito was around he grinned and said, "He will be glad to hear you asked about him."
