Chapter 11 - It's over

"I will personally take you to the gates of death, if necessary," stomping hard, I began to run towards the huge Phoenix as the angels began to create spears of light behind me; interlacing my fingers and using the strength of my body, I landed a strong blow on his chin that barely made him tremble. "Is that all?" Raising his tail he looked at me coldly. "Pathetic," with a strong blow to the stomach, he knocked the wind out of me and sent me flying. Crashing hard into the ground, several white spears were thrown towards him, piercing his body, to then disappear and the holes are healed with fire.

"I've had enough with you damn angels," a huge magic circle appeared as he opened his beak and from it came a powerful burning call directed towards the angels. "Shit," getting up with difficulty, running with all my strength, enduring the pain in my stomach; I stood in front of the angels and, crossing my arms in an "X", I received the attack directly. "Damn the sea, it's so hot!"

I barely lasted a few seconds before their call began to slowly push me back and then began to drag me backwards forcefully. I could barely see how the angels had moved out of the way. "Well, they're out of the way now... huh?" I found that I couldn't get out of the way, the call being so loud when I tried to get out of the way... "Shit, this is going to hurt so much."

The massive explosion had left a huge crater where the Mayan village once stood. Deep within the crater my body was almost shattered; my reinforced skin had been almost completely incinerated, as well as leaving it red hot. "Ah… it… hurts… everything… it… burns… it… burns… so much…" I could barely move my body from all the pain I was feeling. With effort I was able to open my eyes only to see the depth of the crater; even just moving my arm to get out of the crater was incredibly painful.

With much effort and enduring the pain in my body, I managed to crawl out of the crater. "I said… I'll… take… you… with… huh?" Out of nowhere, the pain that was running through my entire body faded as a white glow covered my entire body. Looking up, I could see the angels around my body with magic circles pointing at me. "Wow, this, this is incredible," in just a matter of minutes my body had been fully healed and my reinforced skin had been restored.

"With this we finish healing this beast!" shouted one of the twenty angels who possessed superior grade armor. "Now, let's give him support magic so he can face the Phoenix and so we can "Cast a powerful spell of light!" shouted another angel with the same armor. After the shout, all the angels summoned another magic circle, making my body light up again and feeling my strength increase excessively and then turn off.

"With this we are done, let's hope our father helps us and guides this brainless beast to distract the Phoenix while he buys us enough time." I watched as all the angels rose into the sky and summoned a huge magic circle while hiding with magic. "I guess I should thank you... Wait, did you call me a brainless beast?" I couldn't refute the statement before the Phoenix reappeared descending from the sky.

"You're still alive, honestly it doesn't surprise me anymore; you're just as disgusting and annoying as a cockroach," he looked away from me and looked around. 'Has he discovered the angels?' , I couldn't help but ask while sweating as I saw his gaze stop at the place where I had last seen the angels. "It seems that those pesky angels are no longer around to help you," I narrowed my eyes as I saw a smile appear on his bird-like face. "I may not have the help of the angels now, but they left me a little gift."

Clenching my fists, I charged towards the Phoenix and raising my fist, I landed a strong punch on his face. Unlike before, this time it did have an effect, leaving him bewildered. "Ha, now we'll see who hits harder," taking advantage of his state, I began to throw a flurry of punches at his face and torso incessantly until I was as hard as possible. "That's enough!" After a few minutes of hitting him incessantly and his body healing those wounds, I released a huge burst of fire that made me back off.

"Now your flames barely hurt me." Moving my arms lightly I extinguished the last flames that remained on my body. "I guess it's a battle of endurance now," as if he understood my mocking words, he frowned and rose into the sky. "Mmm…" I watched silently as the Phoenix created a huge fireball above him. It was like the mini sun, only ten times bigger. "I should learn to watch my words."

BOOM!!!

The entire place, already devastated, was reduced to ruins, leaving only charred earth and some places red hot from the high temperature that now existed in the place. "I suppose that should be enough to eliminate this annoying cockroach... And that?", the Phoenix could see how a mound of black earth with red hot spots writhed on the ground and then began to slowly crawl towards him. "What the fuck?!" He had no time to react when a huge snake head, covered with skin reinforced by obsidian black iron along with red hot spots from the previous attack, launched itself at him, sinking its huge fangs into his neck while with its huge and long body it began to coil its body until it fell to the ground with a loud sound.

"Did you think you had finished me off?", with my fangs embedded in his neck, I began to inject him with the Taipan snake venom, at least to annoy him. "I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm more stubborn than a donkey." Squeezing his body tighter, his body began to release loud sounds of bones breaking, only for his bones to be healed and then broken again… "Damn it… Let me go!", the Phoenix trying to free itself from my body, releasing a huge sea of ​​fire from its body. "I'm not going to let you go, not even if you release lava."

No matter how much fire, heat wave or flames his body released, he wasn't going to release his body, but instead began to squeeze it tighter. "Your flames will be of no use to you, even if you return to your humanoid form, you will only be crushed without mercy," then a strong light fills the place and, turning his eyes, he looks at the huge magic circle that the angels had been carrying. "It's ready, now, beast, get as far away as you can," an angel shouts with all his strength in my direction. "Don't even believe it, dirty angels."

I looked between the huge magic circle and the Phoenix that tried to break free with more force. "As I said, I will take you to the gates of death myself," I stared at the angel with my teeth still stuck in the phoenix's neck, preventing any movement, whether of its body or its head. Understanding my intentions, the angel closed his eyes and looked at the others. "It seems this is the fate our father gave to this beast" and the huge magic circle began to shine. "Let's finish off the Phoenix" and from the huge magic circle came a powerful ray of light that went straight towards us. "Nooooo!"

Bang!

The Phoenix's cry was barely heard when the huge light swallowed both beings. When the attack ceased, the huge snake could be seen barely alive, its body once covered by a reinforced skin; now only its flesh and muscle could be seen with some parts burned. While the Phoenix's body, once covered in beautiful flames, had now gone out, showing its skin that was almost completely burned…

"I'm… not… going… to… die yet," moving my body with difficulty, I squeezed its body again and injected my lethal Taipan snake venom again, biting its neck with the little strength I had left. "Still, it's still alive," I couldn't even hear my surroundings anymore, and the strength was slowly disappearing until I felt my body being slowly healed again. My vision slowly came back into focus, capturing that the angels were healing my body again, but this time at a slow pace.

My body couldn't even be completely healed, when the Phoenix's "dying" body was once again set ablaze. "Damn, not again," feeling its flames rekindle, I squeezed its body even tighter. "Just die, damn it" and with my reinforced skin no longer there, my body began to burn just by rolling up its body. "I've... had... enough," then the Phoenix's body disappeared or, rather, turned into ashes. "What was that?", in disbelief, I unrolled my body and looked at the pile of ashes scattered on the ground.

Suddenly the ashes began to move until they piled up and, with a loud explosion, the Phoenix bird emerged again. "It may not be so difficult this time." The state of the Phoenix, despite not having any injuries, had a tired expression and its flames were less intense than in the previous confrontations. "I can't believe that a cockroach and some winged insects forced me to use my resurrection ability." Opening its wings, several magic circles appeared in the sky and fireballs began to come out of them, as if meteorites were falling.

Seeing the falling fireballs, I began to dodge just like the angels in the sky. Hitting a fireball, I looked at his weakened state and didn't hesitate. I charged towards him while changing my form back into a quadrupedal triceraptos, but this time without the reinforced skin. "Swallow an "Electric Strike!", generating electricity again, I charged towards the Phoenix in a zigzag motion to avoid being hit by any fireball. Being below it, I stomped hard and launched myself at it. Even though my two front horns had been destroyed, I stuck the horn of my nose and with that, I sent all the electricity accumulated by its body from within…

"Damn inferior trash", as if that wasn't enough, I forcefully threw it into the air only to be pierced by several spears of light and, before it fell to the ground, I took the form of ankylosaurusilos and hit it hard. Crashing hard against the ground, and with that the form of the Phoenix returned to humanoid. "We're almost done with the Phoenix!" shouted one of the angels so that the others then shouted in joy. "As if I were going to let myself be killed by such insignificant insects", an orange circle appeared under its feet and before it disappeared into the sky, He, I ran with all my strength and using my mace, I sent him flying as the circle disappeared.

"Damn it," he stopped dead as he summoned his wings of fire. "The angels are right, he's about to die," I could see that the wound caused by my blow was healing with fire, but this time it was slow, very slow. "Let's get this over with," I transformed again, this time taking the form of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. "GRUUUUUUAAAAARRR!", letting out a loud roar, I ran towards him with my mouth open. Noticing my intentions, his anger erupted. "Don't even think about it, insect," creating a mini sun, the phoenix launched it towards me with all the strength he had left.

Bang!

A huge curtain of smoke filled the place as the mini sun exploded against my body. "Is it dead yet?" Her question was answered, when a huge tyrannosaurus head with its mouth open emerged from the smoke. "Eat," that was the last thing the Phoenix saw before being eaten and started to be chewed for almost five minutes before being swallowed. "Well, for a type of bird, it doesn't taste like any bird meat I've ever eaten," then a strong heat came to my stomach, being almost unbearable.

"I forgot, it's a firebird." Stomping hard I ran all over the ruined place, all through the forest, until I reached a river where I began to swallow water without ceasing.

"I guess it's over," almost half an hour had passed and the pain had stopped. After walking for a few minutes I had returned to the ruins where the battle had broken out. "I managed to avenge you, little one," looking up I could see how the sunlight arrived and illuminated the destruction. "I'm sorry I didn't protect you."
