The pretenders

At the canteen, Liz was sitting with her friend, suddenly jay message dropped on Bianca's phone 

 Jay message typing...

 ( Can we see....?, Don't let Liz know) 

After Bianca saw the message she hid her phone 

" Excuse me Liz I need to use the toilet" Bianca makes an excuse to see Jay 

" Okay..." Liz replies and Bianca walkway 

After some minutes Bianca was back 

" Am back " Bianca said 

" how long it took you to use the toilet..." Liz said 

" Am sorry, are you done....let go home" Bianca said 

" Are you not going to finish your meals before we leave?" Liz asked 

" Ooo... okay, " she sat down and began to eat her meals 

Light fade 

The light shines at the girls' hostel, Biancaa, and Liz say goodbye to each other and they leave, Bianca enters her room while Liz tries to open the door and she notices it is locked from the inside she knocks at the door but Lisa doesn't answer, Liz was frustrated and she begins to hit the door harder still yet is not open, even she called her name and Lisa reply " am sleeping I can't open the door again" Lisa said, Liz was angry and she keeps knocking on the door, still yet she didn't open the door and she determines to sleep In Bianca room 

Light fade 

The next morning, Liz walked out of Bianca's room and she was about to knock at her hostel door when Lisa opened the door and walked out, she was ready for today's class, Liz was angry when she saw her dress on her 

" How dare you...." Liz was mad at her 

" Ooo for not opening the door last night sorry you have a roommate now, you can't walk anyhow again," Lisa said 

" That was one....and who gave you the right to be in my dress " Liz asked 

" I love your dress and I am determined to try it...well I checked everything they are okay....that means your family is rich because your dress was quality" Lisa said but Liz was frustrated 

" Take off my dress" Liz lowered her voice even it show in her voice that she was angry

" No....no....no, I won't, I have already posted this new dress on my social media which means am going to wear it today," she said and walked out of the room, Liz was angry and shut the door in frustration began to hit the bed, after some minutes she lay down on the bed and begin to calm herself, then she walked to the bathroom to take her bath.

Light fade 

After the lectures closed the students gathered at the auditorium listening for the upcoming competition between the newbies and the former student who was in year two, after words with the students the class was dismissed and the students left the auditorium.

Light shines in Liz's room 

She sat on her bed with Bianca, they were both gisting when Lisa walked in 

" Hi namesake," she said but no one replied 

" What is she doing here" Lisa asked when she saw Bianca 

" And what is your business if she is here" Liz's voice was hard 

" She has no right to come to my room," Lisa said 

" This is my bed and not yours," Liz said 

" Sorry I slept on that bed yesterday...that means it's my bed now," Lisa said 

" I hate you, you are so rude and naughty, you are annoying, I just hate the person you are" Liz raised her voice

" And what is yours... when we pay the same money," Lisa said 

" You have no right to send my friend out of this room" Liz raised her voice 

" I have a right to do what I like," Lisa said and she walked to Bianca, held her arm, and pushed her, Bianca was angry and she slapped her on her two cheeks,

" You slap me," Lisa said 

" Yes and I will do it once again if you touch me" Bianca was frustrated

" Am not Liz who can't talk but I will if you dare me again" Bianca warns her 

" You will regret this" Lisa said pointing her finger at Bianca 

" I will cut off your finger if you point it again," Bianca said even Lisa was scared and she hid her finger and walked out 

" Liz can't you see that idiot" Bianca said 

" She is trying to boss on me," Liz said 

" I miss Lola if she was the one, I know she will be dead by now," Bianca said and she sat on the bed 

" She was shameless, even though you just met yesterday and she is putting on your dress, I don't want to embarrass her I should have embarrassed her in the auditorium," Bianca said 

"It's okay.... am going to teach her a lesson," Liz said and her phone rang she checked the number it was Jay, she hissed and dropped the phone but Bianca took it and picked up the call, she made sure the speakers were on 

 " Hello Liz...." his voice was hard to hear 

" Hello" Bianca 

 " I ...I need your help, am dying" Jay said

When Liz had the one of dying she sat well even getting more interested in the conversation, she collected the phone from her and began to ask Jay what was wrong with him, Jay didn't reply and she hung the call, Liz jumped on her feet, she dropped her phone and ran out of the room even Bianca run after her.

Liz bragged in and she saw Jay lying down on the floor, she ran to her and began to call on him, but Jay didn't open his eyes, she kneeled beside him and began to tap him, Bianca also walked in with the security, one of the female security gave him first aid kit and he was rushed to the hospital, after some minutes he was treated, one of the nurses come out and gave them news on jay.

" He is okay now.....but I don't think he will open his eyes soon because it was late before you brought him to the hospital," the nurse explains 

" What was his sickness" Liz asked with a sad voice 

" I think he tried to kill himself over something," the nurse explains 

" Ah " tears drop on her face and she asked 

" Can I see him prevects ?" Liz asked 

" Yes, you can," the nurse said, and she walked out.

Liz walked inside the ward and saw Jay who was breathing through oxygen, she moved to him and seat beside him on the bed, and began to cry 

" Am sorry Jay....am sorry.... I know it's all my fault you are in this position, am just scared I don't my mistake to repeat itself" she cried out 

" Jay just woke up because of me...I promise I won't leave again, I don't know if you are going to die because of this, I don't know if you are going to kill yourself, please if you truly love me....you will wake up, am always jealous when I see you with Natasha" she cleans her tear's 

" I don't know if you are serious about me, everybody will be saying am the one that killed you because of my stupidity... Jay am sorry," she kneeled on the floor while holding her arm 

" Please wake up.....okay did you remember our first night, whenever I think about it, am always happy because I did it with the man I love, even when you were scared of the thunderstorms, I always make jest of you because it was funny, I love the moment I shared with you...when you wake I won't wait to express my feeling because my heart belongs to you and will you accept my proposal if you wake up hope it won't be late?" Liz stood up and sat beside his shoulder 

" If you wake up will you go out with me or you will have lost your memory and follow Natasha, I want you by my side" Liz confesses also touching his face

" For the last time won't you mind if I kiss you" Liz said, she was about to kiss him when she had her voice record which was not far from Jay, she was scared and jumped on her feet, Jay raised his hand with his phone, Liz was scared and she moves back, jay opens his eyes and he removes the oxygen from his mouth then sat on the bed, Liz screams when she saw a dying man who just sat up, Bianca and jay friends with the nurse who attended to him walk in while they were laughing even jay who was sitting on the bed was smiling as they all listen to Liz voice record, she was shamed of herself and she hides her face, even she was shocked that her best friend also knows it was a prank and she didn't tell her, after the voice record end, jay stood up, Liz tried to escape but Bianca didn't allow her to leave, jay walked to her and he hugged her.

" Thanks for loving me," Jay said 

" So you pretend that you are sick," Liz asked and Jay let her go 

" I did that all because of you," Jay declared 

" And you Bianca, you can't tell me it was a prank I cried a lot, I thought it was my fault," Liz said even though her voice was shaking

" Am sorry Liz " Bianca apologized

Jay moved closer to her, touched her pretty face, and kissed her, his friends also Bianca and the nurse began to smile and they also clapped, for some couples minutes they were still kissing while their friends began to complain, Liz and Jay smiled after leaving each other 

" You got me scared" Liz hit Jay on his chest and he pretended again 

" You know am sick," Jay spoke out

" Pretenders" she smiled and hugged him.
