Strange Energy Part - 02

"What happened why is your face red Shiro?" Looking at Shiro's face which was as red as a tomato Minerva became puzzled and asked him why his face was so red. Then she looked at both Rin and Arturia.

"Please don't ask Minerva. It's better if you don't know." Shiro averted his eyes from Minerva and dodged her question.

"It was really cute guhehe." Rin said while blushing and laughing.

"It truly was." Arturia agreed with Rin while blushing.

"What happened to those two?" Minerva asked while looking at Shiro.

"Nevermind these two just ignore these idiots." Shiro completely ignored Rin and Arturia. "You told me these clothes will help move around much easier so show me how." And asked Minerva about the clothes he was wearing.

"Ahh that's right." Minerva took one last glance at Rin and Arturia and then looked at Shiro. "The clothes you are wearing has a type of material and a system built in it, which enables it to emulate gravity though not really. Just look at your right sleeve there is a metal switch with Tachibana's logo on it. Press and hold it for five seconds."

"Ok." Shiro reached out to the button and just when he was going to press it Minerva stopped him.

"Wait. Before you do it just get near to the floor and try to take upright standing posture relative to the floor." Minerva instructed Shiro to fix his posture. "Otherwise you might suddenly crash onto the floor."

"Thanks that was a close call." Shiro did as Minerva said and then he pressed the button for five seconds.. After five seconds the button on Shiro's cloth lit up with weak white glow and his clothes gave a light humm and became normal. As soon as that happened Shiro's body began to lower on the floor and he finally stood on it with his own two feet.

"Wow guys I'm standing. How is this possible?" Shiro became excited as he can finally walk without anyone's help.

"The clothes you are wearing and the floor of the ship is magnetically attracted to each other That is why you can stand on the floor. This feature can be disabled if you wish with the help of the same button." Minerva explained the mechanism behind it.

"You are right I do still feel that floating sensation but somehow or another I am held in place." Shiro could fell that he was able to walk around freely but there were actually no gravity present.

"Wow amazing Shiro now you can walk around without our help." Rin exclaimed loudly.

"Why do I feel that you are not really happy about that." Shiro looked at Rin skeptically.

"It's just your imagination, imagination. Hahaha." Rin gave a hollow laugh at Shiro's remark.

"Hmm.. is that so." Shiro looked at Rin from the corner of his eyes. "Sigh" Shiro sighed and said "Nevermind lets look at what that balcony is about." Shiro walked toward the glass door and pressed the button beside the door as soon as he pressed it the the door slid open and Shiro walked out dazedly into the balcony. "It's beautiful." Shiro could see stars, asteroids and Mars. It was a huge transparent panel shaped like a balcony, through which he could see into the space. When he looked down he could see the side profile of Aurora. below it he could see the soil of Phobos. Shiro looked at Arturia and Rin who were both looking outside mesmerized.

After waiting for a while Minerva called out to Shiro. "Shiro I think you should come in for now and take some rest. If you are hungry you can order the chef robot to cook any food on the menu." Minerva suggested that Shiro take a rest for now and return to the room as he would have plenty of time to enjoy the view.

"Yeah you are right." Shiro looked back one last time and returned in the room and closed the door to the balcony.

"If you want you can adjust the transparency of the glass by playing with the dial beside the switch that opens the door." Minerva showed Shiro a dial which can be used to adjust the transparency of the glass door.

"Thanks Minerva, then I will set it to transparent." Shiro set the glass to be transparent and went toward the bed. As soon as he reached the bed he laid down.

"Aren't you going to eat something?" Minerva asked Shiro again if he is going to eat something since he had not eaten anything from the time he woke up.

"I am not really hungry at the moment. Can you please turn the lights off, I feel tired." Shiro still did not have any appetite so he decline to eat anything now. He was just tired mainly mentally and emotionally.

"Alright." Minerva turned the lights off. "Then call me if you need anything. If you call I'll answer immediately. Goodnight Shiro." As soon as Minerva said this she disappeared.

""Goodnight Shiro."" Both Rin and Arturia wished Shiro goodnight.

"Goodnight guys." Finally Shiro closed his eyes and after a while he fell asleep.
