No sooner had we passed through the thick velvet curtain covering the hallway, then the seductive melodies from the dance floor were replaced by a soft, jazzy melodical atmosphere. It was like night and day. With stunned expressions we all glanced back and forth at each other, our minds finally released from the fogginess that was the rest of the club.
"I don't know about you guys, but I am definitely not going back out there." Theseus announced as he rubbed his temples wearily.
"I am afraid I must second that sentiment." Asterion echoed as he followed close behind, his towering figure obscuring the way back. I was of the same mind though, in that I did not want to go back out there... All of those humans... Doing all those things to each other... If you could even call them human anymore, since they looked more akin to flesh eating zombies now.
