The poison

The following morning my mother-in-law made me breakfast and brought it to my room cause her son and I were still sleeping in separate rooms. I was so surprised that I couldn't hide my shock, she came and sat on my bed and fed me the food. I really enjoyed the meal especially that my mother-in-law made it especially for me and she had now started considering me as her daughter-in-law.

I felt pressed and wanted to use the bathroom and hardly had I stood up than the blood started coming out I couldn't believe I was bleeding so heavily in such a short period I thought I lost my babies, I screamed out Sam's name before going unconscious.

I opened my eyes and found myself in the hospital and the doctor was checking me out, the first thing I asked was if my babies were okay so the doctor took my hand and placed it on my stomach and said

" your babies are fighters just like you they can't give up on life knowing they have a fighting mother who can go to any extent to fight for what belongs to her."

I smiled after hearing those words without our knowledge Sam was standing by the door. He got in and asked what caused the bleeding, the doctor took out the paper from the envelope that he had in his hands and read it out loud and it read

" the blood samples taken and tested showed that she was poisoned and the poison was aimed to harm the babies by causing a miscarriage."

Sam looked at me and asked what I had eaten that morning that would have had poison I suddenly remembered being saved food by Sam's mum and after she left the room it didn't take long for me to start bleeding, I couldn't say anything cause I knew it would bring a rift between the family.

When the doctor left the room Sam looked at me and said

"I think that guy likes you."

I also noticed that I didn't want to complicate things so I denied. A few minutes later he came and told me I would be discharged after two days cause they had to observe my condition.
