The Village Girl Pt. 2

Standing Above the boy, the girl had a look of conflicting emotions. she was thinking about whether or not she should take the boy back to her village or look for a place to hide the boy because her village was currently in dire straits because of bandits and a murderer.

Finally deciding the girl got a sheet from the basket of clothes she was going to clean. Laying the sheet near the boy and rolled h I m onto the sheet the girl, tried carrying the with the sheet under him because she was bigger then him and had been doing rough work her whole life and others could tell by the calluses on her hands and her lean body that wasn't buff but more suited for a fit teenage girl.

Lifting the boy into her arms from a squat the girl felt that the boy was really light, looking at him he didn't seem malnourised or sick which surprised her because she had also seen the boy in the lake too because she had come too see what the hermit had done these couple days. the girl had came twice this week and seen the boy both times. At first she thought the boy was dead and didn't bother, but now that he was on the soil and clearly sleeping.

For a couple minutes the girl walked through the forest with the boy in her arms and the basket hanging on her shoulder by the handle in a delicate balance. After walking a distance the lake the girl finally turned and looked in a direction and finally stopped. When the girl stopped she had a look of contemplating on her face. After contemplating for a minute or so, the girl finally decided and looked a different direction to the side of the direction she was headed and finally started walking again.

Walking again without the girl noticing the boy had actually woken up. The boy now looking at the girl in curiosity spent a few minutes studying the girl that was holding him in her arms.

Finally making a movement that the girl noticed the boy had looked to the side after loosing interest in the girl and hearing a sound in the distance. When the girl felt the boy's movement she looked down and saw the boy looking in a certain direction. When she looked the same direction she realized that it was the village she was supposed too be heading too right now, but wasn't where she was going.

Realizing this the girl looked at the boy in suspicion, and worry. After a couple of seconds the girl finally heard a sound. At first it sounded like a bunch of little clicks and whispers, but then when the girl concentrated, she could hear it better. What the girl heard was what sounded like screams and horses and some clanking of metal.

Hearing this, the girl didn't even bother with the boy any more. Dropping the boy, the girl started trying to run in the direction of her village, dropping the basket along the way and almost tripping because of the skirt she was wearing.
