Study Date

It was April 18th and Yuna was waiting for Izuku to get back home from school so he could help her study for her written U.A. Entrance Exam. In the meantime, she was self-studying, going off of an online study guide but wasn't getting very far in it. Her time away from home had deprived her of proper schooling for eleven years. So Yuna was having quite a bit of trouble understanding a lot of things. She knew the basics, but was not yet up to high school level. Time seemed to go by very slowly for her.

~Time Skip~

It was 4:00 PM and Yuna got a text from Izuku saying he just got home and was going to change out of his uniform then head over. Shortly after, Yuna's doorbell rang and she ran to go get it. Izuku was at the door wearing tan pants and a dark teal sweater over a white collared shirt. His outfit is what one would expect a teacher to wear. She let him in and led him to the computer where she had the study guide pulled up on the browser window.

"I've been having trouble with everything! I don't even know where we should start." Yuna said frustratingly as Izuku put his hand on her shoulder.

"How about we choose a subject at random and work on that one until you've got it down, then move onto another subject." Izuku suggested as Yuna nodded her head in agreement.

"Okay." Yuna said as Izuku pulled up a chair to the desk to the left of her. He wrote each subject down on a piece of paper and went to the kitchen to grab a bowl and put the pieces of paper in the bowl.

"Close your eyes and pick a piece of paper from the bowl. What ever subject is written on that piece of paper, we'll study first." Izuku said as Yuna closed her eyes and reached into the bowl he was holding and pulled out a piece of paper. It read "history" which was the subject Yuna was having the most trouble with.

"Great. We're starting with the subject I'm the worst at." Yuna groaned as Izuku patted her back encouragingly.

"It won't be so bad if you use a method that works for you. You already read everything right?" Izuku said as Yuna nodded.

"Let's try using flashcards now." Izuku said as he started on making flashcards for Yuna. Once he was done, they reviewed them together over and over. Then he used those flashcards to quiz her. Yuna started to memorize the material better. A couple hours later, she had completely gotten everything down and was getting the answers right every time and quickly too.

"Wow Yuna, you're doing great. You're learning faster than I ever did." Izuku said, praising Yuna who blushed at his compliment.

"That's only because you're a good teacher or study partner or whatever. Studying with you is so much more effective than studying on my own." Yuna said to Izuku.

"I told you it wouldn't be so bad once you found a method that works for you." Izuku said with a smile.

"I guess so. But man I'm beat!" Yuna said as she put her pencil down and leaned back in her chair.

"How about we call it a day today. After all, I still need to do my homework and train for the U.A. Sports Festival." Izuku said as Yuna sat back up.

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Sorry I took so much of your day up studying for a test you already took." Yuna apologized to Izuku who smiled back at her.

"No worries. That's what friends are for. If you want, you can come over and join me. You won't really be able to help me out, but you can keep me company. I'd appreciate that." Izuku said as Yuna's facial expression brightened.

"Of course, I'd love to!" Yuna said as she got up and hugged Izuku who blushed slightly. And with that, they headed over to Izuku's apartment so that he could do his homework. When they arrived, his mother Inko was in the kitchen putting away groceries. She had put on a bit of weight since Yuna last saw her eleven years ago. When she saw Yuna, she immediately greeted her.

"Oh hello Yuna. It's been so long since I've seen you. My, have you grown!" Inko said as she came over and gave her a hug.

"Hello Inko. Yeah, it's been eleven years. It's great to see you again." Yuna said, returning the embrace.

"So what brings you over here?" Inko asked Yuna as she went back to making dinner.

"Oh, Izuku just finished helping me study for my written U.A. Entrance Exam. But he still has homework and training to do so he invited me over to keep him company." Yuna explained as Inko nodded in understanding.

"Oh okay. Well you're welcome to join us for dinner Yuna. It'll be ready in a couple hours." Inko said as Yuna thanked her and followed Izuku into his room. While he studied, she just played games on her phone until he finished his homework just in time for dinner. As Yuna ate with the Midoriyas, she caught Inko up on what happened to her while she was away from home. After dinner, she helped Inko and Izuku with the dishes. Once the dishes were done, Izuku told Yuna to wait outside his bedroom while he changed into his workout clothes. He came out of his bedroom wearing a white short sleeve and black sweatpants.

"I'm gonna go out on a run. You can come with if you want." Izuku said as Yuna got excited.

"I'll come with. I used to work out all the time with Asta back in Hage Village. I also trained a lot with Natsu back in Earth-land too. Going out for a run should be a piece of cake. Just let me go change into some more suitable clothes. Wait for me outside my apartment." Yuna said as she left Izuku's apartment to go change into a short sleeve shirt and sport leggings. When she opened her apartment door, Izuku was waiting outside just like she said. They went to Dagoba Municipal Beach Park to do their run.

"This beach is pretty nice." Yuna said as they ran next to each other. Izuku chuckled.

"Actually this place used to be full of trash. All Might had me clean the beach up as part of my rigorous ten month training regimen to prepare me for receiving his quirk." Izuku said as he remembered the ten months of hell he had to go through to get where he was today.

"Oh yeah, you told me about that. Well you did a really nice job. Way to go Izuku." Yuna said as she looked around at the beautiful beach scenery as they ran together. They jogged for a few miles then headed back to their apartments. Before they went their separate ways, Yuna called after Izuku.

"Hey Izuku? Let's do this tomorrow too." Yuna said as Izuku nodded.

"Sure. This worked out well for me." Izuku said as he entered his apartment and Yuna went into hers. The next day, they did the same thing after he got back from school. They started on a new subject for their study session. And instead of going for a run, they just worked out together. Izuku was quite surprised how strong Yuna was. Of course, she had Asta and Natsu to thank for keeping her in great shape. Over the rest of the week, they tackled a different subject every day and alternated between going for a run and working out together. It was now April 23 and Yuna went with Izuku to U.A. High to take her written test. Because she had studied with Izuku, the test was easy. Obviously, she finished the test before Izuku got out of school so she just took the train home by herself. Now she just had to wait another week for U.A. High to get back to her to let her know if she got in or not.

~Time Skip (1 Week)~

It was April 30th and today was the day Yuna would find out if she got into U.A. High School. She waited patiently for the mail to come in. Finally at around 4:00 PM, the mail arrived and among the envelopes and catalogs there was a letter from U.A. with Yuna's name on it. She immediately took it into her room and sat down on her bed. Eager to read what it said, she tore open the envelope and a little disc fell out. A hologram screen displayed from the disc and All Might appeared.

"Ha ha ha! I am here to deliver your entrance exam results! You have passed the written exam with flying colors! Congratulations! Welcome Yuna, you are now part of the Hero Academia!" All Might said and the hologram screen disappeared. Just then Yuna got a text from Izuku. He was asking if she got a letter from U.A. yet and if she did what her results were. She immediately replied and told him she got in. Not even a minute later, Yuna heard the doorbell ring. Manami answered the door before Yuna could get to it.

"Yuna, Izuku is here to see you." Manami called for Yuna who left her bedroom to greet Izuku at the door.

"Congratulations Yuna! I'm so glad you were able to get in!" Izuku congratulated Yuna as he gave her a hug.

"It's all thanks to you Izuku." Yuna said as Izuku smiled.

"We should celebrate. How about we go out to eat tomorrow after I get back from school. Sound good to you?" Izuku suggested as Yuna nodded.

"Great! See you tomorrow." Izuku said as he opened the door and left. Manami stared at Yuna for a second with an eyebrow raised.

"You two are getting awfully friendly lately. I think he likes you." Manami said as Yuna's face turned red.

"Y-you think so?" Yuna asked her younger sister who nodded with a smirk on her face.

"Oh yeah. I'm pretty sure." Manami said as Yuna just went into her bedroom. She thought about what her sister said about Izuku liking her. The more she thought about it, the more she got flustered and that warm fuzzy feeling returned.
