Will this ship sail?

Grandpa Tan and the others were worried for Sophie, because they knew that she is habituated with suppressing her emotions since childhood. She might be looking strong on the outside, but might be breaking down from the inside. They couldn't console her, so, Grandpa Po could only say kindly, "Little Sophie, we are always with you, my dear."

"I understand, Grandpa. Thank you.", she gave them a genuine warm smile.

"But would you mind telling us what exactly happened?", Grandpa Smith said.

"It's nothing....", they gave her a stern look. Eventually, she spilled the beans.

"Actually, Lily is the cause of this incident. I didn't know her identity as the fiancee of Mr. Robert Atkins.", the more she spoke about her, her voice grew colder.

"That's the reason, despite my security, they were able to do such a thing, and only you were implicated.", C returned after sending Robert off and returned.

They had no words to console her but patted her back constantly as she laid her head on Grandpa Tan's lap, who doted on her the most. She cried herself to sleep on his lap. C stepped forward to carry her to her room, but Grandpa Tan glared at him and whisper-yelled, "This old man still has great strength in his old bones, so, no need to disturb her rest! Hmph! I shall carry her myself." Saying so, he picked her up and took her to his bedroom and laid her on the king sized bed. All the old men went to the study room leaving the duo behind. C joined them in the study room seeing that Grandpa Tan was with her.

The next morning:

C went to Grandpa Tan's room and saw Sophie sitting there in a daze.

"What happened?"

"Huh? How did I end up here?"

"I piggybacked you", C said with a cunning smile.

"Huh?"

"You punk! You dare to lie about this matter? This old man sacrificed his set of old bones to bring my granddaughter here, and you dared to lie?", Grandpa Tan hollered from the doorway.

Sophie was even more confused.

"Little girl, get up and let's head to your company. Come on fast."

She got up from her bed and stretched her muscles lazily, yawned a few times and then slowly went towards the washroom to get ready. After a long while, Sophie came downstairs and immediately saw C leaning on the couch with the newspaper in one hand, and a cup of coffee in the other.

Sophie sat down on the couch and picked up another newspaper and took a sip from the coffee, and started discussing about various affairs. After reading the newspapers, they headed to the underground parking area. C was eyeing her Porsche, so she threw the car keys to him, "You drive. I'm too lazy to drive a grown up man like you today. I still need my beauty sleep."

C smiled. He knew that she had already known about his inner thoughts, and had intentionally let him drive, fulfilling his innermost wish. He, on the other hand, took the key, got into the car and started the engine, without exposing her. Sophie got into the passenger seat and closed her eyes to take a nap.

After a while, they reached Scarlett Inc. After parking the car in the underground parking space, they went towards the private elevator, and was about to press the button to the thirty ninth floor, when they saw a figure dash past them to enter the elevator at top speed. They were stunned at first, and then Sophie laughed out loud while C wore an interesting expression on his face. Sophie raised an eyebrow and asked, "Ruby, what's the hurry?"

"Huh? Boss, you are here? I didn't see you. Good morning Boss."

"And what about me?", C asked rather playfully.

Sophie was intrigued at the situation. It was rather hard for her to imagine that stern faced guy to romance someone. She giggled at the thought but those two were so engrossed in staring at each other did not pay attention to her.
