ABDUCTION?

Amari helped Nathan get settled in the guestroom. Her father had given him a change of his old clothes to use for the night and the clothes seemed to suit him well.

"If you need anything, my room is just a few rooms away," Amari said to Nathan as she prepared to leave him.

He gave her a light nod, and she flashed him a comforting smile before starting to make her way to the door.

"Amari," he called and she halted. It had been a while since he addressed her by her name so she was slightly surprised. But then, he was in a very emotional state, he probably didn't even know he had called her by the name and not by the endearment she was now so used to. She turned back to look at him, shrugging off the thoughts playing in her head. Even managing a light smile.

"Can… Can you stay with me? I don't want to be by myself tonight," he muttered.
