Qin Mei almost forgot about her encounter with Shi Ciyuan the moment she arrived at the doorstep of the Qin mansion.

She took in a deep breath and then pushed open the door.

Upon arrival at the hallway, she was stunned to see her stepsister, Qin Mingmei cuddled up in the arms of her ex fiance, Huo Zilan.

"Sister!", Qin Mingmei immediately escaped from Huo Zilan's arms and sat up straight, her eyes were filled with tears and she looked like a scared little rabbit.

"MingMing do not be scared, she cannot hurt you while I am here?", Huo Zilan immediately stood in front of Qin Mingmei and glared coldly at the girl in the mask.

"It's been less than a day for crying out loud! Less than a day and you are already together!", Qin Mei's eyes brimmed with tears, she felt like laughing but she could not bring herself to do so. They had made a big fool out of her, the man whom she had dreamt of a lifetime together with and the sister she cared about in the past.

Her now ex fiance, who had been so affectionate and caring towards her just a few days ago now glared at her coldy. His eyes were even filled with a bit of hatred.

"Qin Mei, do not pretend to be pitiful. You don't deserve it! I never expected you to be so vicious!", Huo Zilan said coldly despite seeing the tears in her eyes.

"Vicious? Zilan! How dare you say I am vicious? Who was it that went behind me and cheated on me with my own sister? Are you not ashamed of sleeping around with your sister in law?", Qin Mei rolled her eyes, her voice loud and filled with anget, a tear fell from her beautiful misty eyes.

*Snap!*

Huo Zilan lifted his hand and hardly slapped Qin Mei across the face!

"You...", Qin Mei was completely stunned that she forgot to feel the pain. She had not or would never have expected a slap from this man.

Even though they had just broken up, she thought he might still have some feelings for her but now all her expectations had been completely crushed!

Feelings for her? To hell with that thought!

"Xiao Mei...", Huo Zilan was in disbelief and stared at the hand he had used to slap her, he himself was stunned by his own actions.

Without waiting for him to complete his sentence, Qin Mingmei hugged his arm and her small figure trembled violently.

"Brother Huo, do you think sister might retaliate against me with a slap? I'm scared...", Qin Mingmei hid in his arms, her eyes filled with fear and her body trembling

Qin Mei chuckled when she saw the two together and then lowered her head dejectedly. Even... even though she had just been slapped, she could not help but at least expect an apology from him. Once again, her expectations were crushed and this time, the last bit of affection left for him completely disappeared, never to come again.

Qin Mei chuckled once more, sized up the couple before her and then headed upstairs to her room without saying a word.

Her heart hurt so much and she did not dare to stand there anymore watching them acting all lovey-dovey.

Her room was extremely small and quite simple. There was only a small bed, a sofa, a wardrobe, a table, a chair and a small bathroom in the corner. As the illegitimate daughter of the Qin family, she should have at least received a better treatment than this.

Standing in front of the mirror in the bathroom, Qin Mei carefully wiped away her tears and washed her face.

After sitting on the bed for a while lost in thought, she made a decision and packed her most needed clothes and items into her suitcase before heading downstairs.

Seeing Qin Mei descending the stairs with a suitcase, both Qin Mingmei and Huo Zilan were stunned.

"Sister, what's wrong? Are you leaving the house because of me and brother Han? I'll breakup with him, please don't leave", Qin Mingmei approached Qin Mei and tried to stop her. There was no way she was going to allow this vixen and seductress to leave the house! If she left then she would have no control over her anymore! No way! She was not yet done toying with her!

"Get out of my way!", Qin Mei was annoyed by her pretentious act of care and slightly pushed her away.

Qin Mingmei stumbled and her forehead hit the wall behind her.

"Sister, if it pleases you to hit me then hit me all you can! But... please don't leave the house. Mom and Dad will feel sad if you go!", Qin Mingmei held on tightly onto Qin Mei.

"MingMing! Get away from her, she will hurt your baby!", Huo Zilan rushed forward and pulled Qin Mingmei away. He noticed the slight bruise and bleeding on her forehead and frowned.

"Qin Mei, stop with your wishful acting! Don't think that you pretending to leave will make me come back to you! I only love MingMing!", Huo Zilan glared at Qin Mei.

The girl before him looked extremely pitiful, she was wearing a mask and her long hair covered almost her whole face leaving only her pair of beautiful blue eyes.

It had been a long time since he saw her face and he had almost forgotten what she looked like.

"You're pregnant?", Qin Mei halted in her footsteps, ignored Huo Zilan and turned to Qin Mingmei with a questioning gaze.

"I...I...", Qin Mingmei stuttered and took a few steps back, hiding behind Huo Zilan as her body trembled violently.

From behind Huo Zilan, she stuck out her tongue at Qin Mei and smiled provocatively.

"Qin Mei, don't pretend you do not know that MingMing is pregnant. She told me that she told you earlier this morning but you got angry and slapped her. How could you bear to slap a pregnant woman?", Huo Zilan sighed, his eyes filled with disappointment.

"She told me?", Qin Mei chuckled and shifted her gaze unto Qin Mingmei. Qin Mei had not expected Qin Mingmei to lower herself as to lie so blatantly.

"Sister...I...", Qin Mingmei pretended to be intimidated and held on tightly to Huo Zilan's clothes with trembling fingers.

"Enough!", Qin Mei raised her hand and interrupted her, "Congratulations on your pregnancy. I also have good news, I'm married now so Qin Mingmei, there's no need to safeguard my shares for me anymore. See you at the company tomorrow"

Qin Mei walked out of the Qin mansion with a proud figure. She did not seem to be affected by anything that had just happened which left Huo Zilan and Qin Mingmei stunned.

Unknown to them, Qin Mei was only holding back. The moment she stepped out of the main gate, her tears flowed like an endless waterfall.

Her lonely figure dragged the suitcase, she seemed so pitiful and dejected from behind.

A black Bentley suddenly stopped beside her and rolled down the window revealing a extremely captivating handsome face.

"Get in!", A cold familiar yet unfamiliar voice sounded.
