Another person who cared about her

Qin Mingmei woke up feeling weak and exhausted and glanced at Huo Zilan who was still sleeping beside her.

She reached out and caressed his face feeling proud that she had him all to herself but at that moment Huo Xinhan's handsome face flashed in her mind.

Huo Xinhan, such a handsome and powerful young man. If only he could be hers, unfortunately he was already married!

"What are you thinking about?", Huo Zilan had just woken up and noticed Qin Mingmei staring into space and seemingly lost in thought.

Qin Mingmei immediately blushed and smiled shyly, "Brother Huo...I was thinking about how good you were in bed yesterday"

Huo Zilan was pleased with the comment and sat up, immediately pushing Qin Mingmei into his arms.

"Really? Do you want more?", Huo Zilan rested his head on her soft and white shoulder which was covered in hickeys as a result of their hot passion from the previous night.

"Brother Huo! I'm in my first trimester, it's not good to do too much of this", Qin Mingmei blushed and slightly pushed him away.

She got off the bed without covering herself and entered the bathroom.

Watching her sexy and slender waist swaying away, Huo Zilan could not help but breathe heavily.

Huo Zilan was one of the few successful grandchildren of old Huo couple. He had a few companies under his name and was well known across the country.

Huo Zilan was known for being a gentleman, kind, cool, calm, friendly and very gentle.

It was not a lie though, he really had this traits after all his parents were just like that and had raised him in such a manner.

He was admired by many ladies for his wealth and good looks.

He could have chosen a much more powerful woman as his partner but had instead chosen Qin Mingmei because he truly loved her.

Qin Mingmei soaked in the bathtub and closed her eyes.

She could not wait to see the look on Qin Mei's face when she announced to her about her engagement with Huo Zilan!

At the young age of three, Qin Mingmei had been told by her mother, Hong Xu that she had a baby stepsister.

Her mother told her that her stepsister was nothing and was not worth being treated as properly as a servant!

Qin Mingmei had not really cared about having a stepsister but her hatred started when she realized that her stepsister was much more prettier than her. Since childhood, she had always been praised for her good looks but ever since Qin Mei appeared everything changed. People always compared her with Qin Mei.

Qin Mingmei emerged from the bathtub and slowly walked out of it. She wrapped a towel around her body and around her hair before walking out.

"Brother Huo, can you help me blow-dry my hair?", Qin Mingmei softly called out to her boyfriend and husband to be.

Huo Zilan stood up and stood behind her blow-drying her hair.

Her hatred for Qin Mei had risen to the highest level when Huo Zilan appeared in their lives but chose Qin Mei over her. She had asked herself back then, Why? Why was she not the one who had saved Huo Zilan?

She could not understand why someone who was not worth being treated as properly as a servant was chosen by a wealthy and hand young master.

Her mother told her that Qin Mei did not deserve all this things because they originally belonged to her, Qin Mingmei.

Qin Mei was only an illegitimate daughter who was trying to steal everything from her.

From then, Qin Mingmei vowed that she was going to trample on Qin Mei until she died! She was going to take back everything that originally belonged to her and leave Qin Mei with nothing!

And now she had succeeded, apart from her beauty, she had taken away everything from Qin Mei and was living a much more better life than her. She, Qin Mingmei, was now the envy of many.

She had risen high up into the sky where Qin Mei would never reach and could only look up at her with envy in her eyes.

Qin Mei woke up and was stunned to find herself in bed. She remembered falling asleep in the sofa so had Huo Xinhan carried her here?

"You're awake...", Huo Xinhan strode towards her and sat beside her.

"Yesterday...", Qin Mei blushed at the thought of being carried in his arms whiles asleep. What if her sleeping posture was bad? Or her mouth had been drooling? It would be so embarrassing!

Huo Xinhan chuckled but did not say a word.

"Today I...I have to attend an audition", Qin Mei informed him.

"Okay, I'll drive you there", Huo Xinhan said, his voice firm.

Qin Mei nodded and got off the bed heading towards the bathroom to wash up. It had only been three days but now she was almost used to him and to this place.

After washing up, Qin Mei dressed up simply and stressfully tied her long black hair into a bun.

Sometimes she thought of cutting her hair but she could not bear to after all she loved it so much.

"I've prepared breakfast already and it's warm. Eat before you go", said Huo Xinhan as he grabbed his car keys.

Qin Mei blushed and nodded obediently.

In the past, she almost thought she had lost her innocence and purity of being young but after being with Huo Xinhan, she realized that it was still deep down in her heart. Only around him could she really show it.

Huo Xinhan chose a low-key black SUV and they got in.

The car looked simple from outside but was quick luxurious in the inside.

As usual, Huo Xinhan helped Qin Mei fix her seat belt before going to the driver's seat.

"Huo...Huo Xinhan, how was yesterday's dinner?", Qin Mei stuttered, trying to make conversation with him. She did not know what to talk about so she could only bring up yesterday's dinner.

"It was okay. I told my family about you but I did not reveal your identity", Huo Xinhan replied.

"Oh...then...then...", Qin Mei did not know what to say to keep the conversation going and could only stutter. The atmosphere felt awkward.

"Good luck with your audition", Huo Xinhan spoke up after a few minutes had passed.

"Thanks", Qin Mei was quite stunned and could not help but smile.

This was the first time someone had actually wished her good luck when she was going to audition.

Huo Zilan never wished her and he never even bothered to ask about how the audition went.

Not to mention her father and her stepmother, they treated her as if she never existed.

Qin Mei grew up without getting to know her real mother because her real mother had died whiles giving birth to her and there was no picture of her in the entire house.

The only person who deeply cared about her was her grandfather but unfortunately he was currently in a coma.

But now... she could say that there was someone else who sincerely cared about her and he was sitting right beside her.

Qin Mingmei thought she had won but she didn't know that whiles she yet to reach high up to the sky, Qin Mei had already reached the heavens.

A place that she, Qin Mingmei would never dream to reach.
