Chapter 21
Today is the day Emma had been waiting for. Her brother is going to be operated on today. She can’t wait to have him back in her life.
Emma was so anxious about the surgery. She made a silent prayer, that the surgery should be a success.
Richard had already left for the firm, so Emma went into the bathroom for a quick shower. She wore a casual outfit consisting of a black leggings, white top, a black jacket with a white canvas.
She didn’t want to waste any more time by applying makeup. She just hurried downstairs. When she was about to open the front door, Anna’s voice stopped her.
“ Good morning ma’am. Where are you off to in such a hurry without having breakfast?”
Emma then realized that she hadn’t told Anna that she will be out for the day. She started to think of a convincing lie to come up with.
