NOAH'S POV
Alex held his head when I informed him about his sister. He was clearly trying hard not to break down in front of me but the truth is that we were both deeply drowned in guilt. We both have done wrong by not being there for Aurora.
He thinks that he is the reason his sister is in this condition but he doesn't realize that it was me who pushed her at this point that she tried to take her own life or maybe that's not even the truth.
Alex thinks that Aurora didn't try to take her life and that all of this is something to do with his grandfather but I ruled out that possibility because we both have something she left for us.
But there is a possibility that Senior Serrano added fuel to her suicidal thoughts and pushed her to this point.
I still remember vividly how she was begging me to not leave her after fake marrying her.
The truth is that we did get married for real but I hid the marriage certificate from her. She just never got her copy because she trusted me fully.
So technically Aurora and I are still married since she is not dead.
FLASHBACK
Aurora woke up feeling the sun's rays hitting on her face. A soft groan came out of her mouth. She shifted on the bed while squinting her eyes. She immediately jumped when she noticed that I was not beside her instead I was observing her from the other corner of the room. After spending a night with her I was feeling conflicted about my plans after all I am my mother's son. I didn't want to ruin her life but after this war between my heart and my brain, my brain won once again.
I just need to remember why I am doing this.
And how all of this is going to destroy the Serrano family. She is just dirt, a soft corner, a small sacrifice for the bigger prize.
"Noah," she called me in her soft but croaky morning voice and I looked at her emotionlessly.
She looked amazing in my bed with nothing but my bedsheets wrapped around her.
I looked away from her and tried to delete the images of us in bed from last night.
She and I are like fire and ice. We can never be together.
I entered her world with only one intention and that is to set it on fire and burn everything and everyone around her.
I just received the news that the Serrano family is looking for her, but they'll never find her until I give away her location.
"Noah." She called again but I didn't answer so she got off the bed and stepped closer to me and that's where I drew the line.
She will never touch me again.
I drew her out of that mansion, played with her a game of house, a whole day and night of being fake husband and wife but now it's time for me to release her.
To throw her in the same dirt her father and grandfather threw me in.
A true tit-for-tat.
I threw new clothes about her size at her face and instructed her to get ready.
She flinched at my tone but still complied.
I waited for her outside and didn't even offer her breakfast. The day I have been waiting for was finally here.
She hesitantly got inside the car and I started it without waiting for her to wear her seatbelt.
"Noah where are we going?" she questioned after some time.
She was scared, her hands were shaking and I didn't have it in me to talk to her or I might change my mind.
My guilt was getting stronger as we slowly reached Serrano's mansion.
"Noah….why are we here Noah? You promised that you will save me from them then why are we here?" She asked and at this point, she was crying but I didn't stop.
They opened the gates when they saw who was sitting beside me.
After all, they have been looking for her for the last 24 hours and that girl is finally here I am sure with that one person who is a dirty secret of their family.
I got out of the car while Aurora continued to cry.
I didn't answer any of her questions, I didn't even turn to look at her.
I dragged her out of my car as she was nowhere ready to step out on her own.
Her grandfather stepped out of the mansion along with the man she was supposed to marry next month.
I guess the deal is off now.
I smirked at that though.
The night I met Aurora I implanted some of my own people in their mansion as guards and maids, they have been giving me the news regarding their future plans with their company which includes Magnus Salvatore and Aurora's arrange marriage in exchange for a business deal that I successfully ruined.
This way not only I ruined their business plan but the Serranos also lost one of their best business allies.
And their loss in my gain.
Now what is he going to do with Aurora is none of my business but I do intend to blackmail him with the wedding photos and Aurora's birth certificate that he has been hiding from the world.
Once the news got out that he also has a granddaughter I will reveal our wedding news but I am never going to accept her.
I can easily prove that she was having an affair with the Salvatore brothers etc, etc.
It will be a treat to watch his reputation get ruined in front of the whole world.
"Noah please take me away from here," she cried and tried to lean into me for support but I stepped away from her.
"Stay away from me you filthy b*tch!" I spat and she looked at me with shock and a hurt expression.
"A cheap girl like you has no right to touch me," I said, pointing my index finger at her. I could see that my words pierced her heart.
"How can you talk to me like this? I am your wife, Noah," her throat constricted and unshared tears stung her eyes.
I scoffed.
"Wife? Really? But I don't remember marrying you," I said, and put my hands in my pockets.
"What are you saying? We got married yesterday?" She said, and a smirk immediately appeared on my face.
"Do you have anything to prove that we got married yesterday?" As realization dawned upon her, she went pale.
"That whole wedding thing was just fake drama, Princess. We did not get married. I did it all to get revenge, which I took last night. Thank you for your services but I don't need them anymore." I said and I could see her heart breaking through her eyes.
"I…I thought you love me." She whispered.
"Love? No. It was all just a game and you were a pawn in it." I said and shrugged nonchalantly.
"Now here you are where you truly belong."
"Noah….please. if you are mad at me for some reason then let's just talk but don't do this to me." She begged and once again I turned away from her and looked at her grandfather who was silently watching us.
"Take care of your dirt….or maybe don't," I said to him and walked away.
