"Is this how you treat my friends?" Heaven asked her sister the moment they were alone in the halls.
"Nevaeh, for god's sake am talking to you." Her sister tried again but to no avail.
At this time, Heaven was pissed beyond measure. She indeed has a close relationship with Lucifer since they were young. And given that his mother was the number one physician in the kingdom, it gave her the ability to be the personal physician of the royal family.
And with this power her son, Lucifer had interactions with almost all the nobles and royals. He was just the odd one out in every celebration and expeditions.
He was the only one from the class of commoners that was able to attend these events meant for the higher caste of the kingdom.
"We as the royals we shouldn't mingle with those riff raffs. You should be thankful for I to be doing this favor for you. He is a bad influence to you Heaven." Nevaeh stopped and answered her sister who has been relentlessly barraging her with questions.
She was just unconcerned about the situation and took it to her heart.
"What did he do to you? I demand an answer." Heaven shouted as it pained her to see her supposed to be dying best friend in that situation.
"He... Your friend is a pervert, sister. Do you want to know what he did to me? He peeped at me when I was changing into my sleeping dress. Are you happy?!" Nevaeh explained as she looked at her sister on the face.
"Why do I feel like you are lying to me sister? Since when do you change your dresses on your own, you spoiled brat! And the fact that there weren't any witnesses. Do you think that you can just fabricate lies and spout nonsense in my presence?" Heaven now was slowly shouting as she condemned her sister.
She knew pretty well who her sister was. Literally, they were twins but they were like heaven and earth. Each with her own domain.
"Don't call me spoilt sister, or else..." Nevaeh said as she took a hold of the hilt of her sword ready to unsheathe it.
"Is that a threat coming from my dear sister? You are not my match, and I will beat you to a pulp if you try to play your tricks on me." Heaven said as she was countering the threat that her sister was displaying.
The twins have lived their better lives hating each other. One was a mommy's girl while the other a daddy's girl.
Apart from them in the halls, there we other six people witnessing the sisters confronting each other. Four guards stood on the opposite sides of the two massive doors connecting the hallway. And two knights that were personally assigned by the King to her daughter Nevaeh.
"So is that a threat sister?" Heaven asked again as a spark of lightning shone across her eyes as she delivered the first blow without hesitation.
Bang!
A blow resonated in the wide hallway as Nevaeh was sent back several meters and crushed on a stone sculpture shuttering it to pieces in the process.
It has been a hit to kill but she also did constrain the force that could achieve a one knockout punch. After all, she was still her dear sister. So she just decided to toy with her for the time being.
"Is that all you can do dear sister?" Nevaeh mocked with criticism in her voice trying to provoke her sister further.
"Tssk!"
"Tssk!"
Heaven just chuckled as she approached her sister who was still getting up on her feet. Her face was pale and two streaks of blood seemed to be tainting her royal robes red. Without much concern, she got up and held herself with the help of her sword.
The knights and guards knew that this would just be a one-sided beating but they had no authority to separate them as they were both royals.
They knew who Heaven was from the training that she undertook in the training grounds. Her teacher also feared her as she always saw a monster down deep within her student, just lying there and waiting.
Heaven was the talk of the whole kingdom but didn't do anything to garner such attention. Many praised her and said that she was gifted since birth but little did they know that it was through her determination and perseverance that made her who she was by the age of ten years old.
She had the raw help from her parents that they provided her with the best potions and pills to make her formidable but to their surprise, she only used the healing pills and herbs.
On the other hand, Nevaeh was the total opposite of her twin sister. She had nothing from talent to beauty, from brains to luck, from friends to love and that made her develop some underhand means since she was of age to understand the world.
With that, she was among the best fighters of her age in the Kingdom but compared to her sister, the gap was just too huge to bear.
And now she was going to get another beating from her sister just like all the other times that they fought. She knew that she couldn't best her in anything but that didn't give her the resolve that maybe this time it will be different.
Swish!
Swish!
Swish!
The sound of a sword cutting through the air was heard as Nevaeh struck with precision at her sister who was all the same smiling through their little encounter.
Truth be told, Heaven didn't feel even the smallest bit of threat resonating from her sister. It was just like a child's play to her.
She was known to be the only youngster that trained with the knights of the Kingdom and even sometimes they would lose to her if they made even the slightest mistake.
Swish!
Swish!
Swish!
The sounds of fighting continued as Heaven just brushed them off while covering a yawn.
Seeing that her sister was practically making a fool out of her and in front of the knights and guards, rage built up inside her chest as she started to use some underhand technics.
The words that her father used to say to her when she was young reverberated inside her mind.
'If you can't save a life, take it.
If you can't take a life, save your own.
If you can't save your own life, then draw some blood.
If you draw some blood, then even the angel of death will not mock you in the next life.'
This time, Heaven creased her eyebrows and smacked before starting to deliver her counterattacks rather than defending.
She knew that her sister couldn't get far with that tactic either but wanted to show her that she wasn't her average sister anymore.
Swish!
Bang!
Swish!
Bang!
Swish!
Bang!
With every swing of the blade, a punch followed closely and they always found their target.
Soon enough more than enough punches had landed on Nevaeh and she was cuddled down on the cold shiny floor. Her sister stood just some distance from her while watching Nevaeh who was covered with blood everywhere.
"Don't interfere with my friends' sister. I am the dictator of my life, and I alone chose what is right for me. This is your last warning as I won't treat you as my sister the next time you touch the ones I love." Just as Heaven finished her warning, the massive doors at the end of the hallway swing open and a lady walked in.
She walked in with a majestic pose but as soon as she saw one of her kids on the floor, she broke into an easy run. She was non-other than Queen Eulalie.
"What happened?" She asked as soon as she reached them and scooped up Nevaeh into her arms from the floor.
"My pick would be the sea serpent, at least it will be a quick death." Heaven said not answering the question that her mother just asked before walking away in a noble way.
"What were you all doing when they were buttering each other to their deaths?" The Queen bellowed as she looked at the two knights and guards that probably witnessed the fight from when it started.
Seeing that no one was willing to speak up, the Queen made her way to the physician's quarters with her daughter in her hands that looked like she could pass at any second now.
Everyone that saw the fight of the two sisters was left in awe and amazement with the way that Heaven defended herself from the coming attacks while at the same time delivering punches that seemed to be accurate and measured.
They knew for a fact that if it was a fight to the death, then Nevaeh would have been just a lifeless body within the first few minutes. But considering the fact that her sister measured the power that she put in every punch, she limited them to just hurt her but not break and shatter her bones.
