Merlin house.

After the feast was over the hat led us to our quarters. It was a nice area also guarded by a portrait. It was just a nice portrait of a dragon and you gave it the password and swung open to reveal our common room. It was a nice little circular room that was very neat and bright. There were a couple of chairs and tables we could use to study and we had a few bookshelves of books. Around the area there were rooms with door that had our names on it.

Each room had a big bed a desk for studying or in the girls cases girl stuff. Dressers for our clothes our own private bathrooms which were nice.

We put up our things before heading out to the common room for a chat. The sorting hat was set up in a small area with his own little throne to sit on.

"Since you all are first years there's not much chance at winning the house cup since there aren't many of you. Unfair I know but nothing I can do about it." The hat says. "Also we won't be participating in quidditch this year as your all first years and for some reason I doubt many of you will even want to play."

I personally didn't like heights so I hated flying however I had made a very sweet hoverboard which kind of worked like a broom except it was like a small surfboard I always felt easier knowing my feet were standing on something idk why. I could always just skim over the ground at a couple of feet at high speeds and that was exciting. Padma was a bookworm, Hermione was a bookworm, Tonks was fine with quidditch, daphne was not a sports person, Luna didn't mind either way, Susan was fine with sports but wouldn't go out of her way to play them, Hannah didn't really like sports, Fluer was more for fashion and such so she was also out. All in all our house was basically an elite version of the Ravenclaw house without and real quidditch players. Not a big problem.

There was a rustle of papers as our class schedules magically appeared before us. "Like I said earlier you guys will mostly be going along with Ravenclaw house. Those guys are the quietest of the lot so I figured you'd mostly all get along with them." The hat said as we looked over our schedules.

It was all the basic classes minus astronomy as that was not really a required class in my books. I had delegated that to a elective class you could pick in third year. Our classes were transfiguration, Charms, Potions, Herbology, History of magic, defense against the dark arts, P.E and a class introducing mugggleborns and wizards to both worlds showing them the differences and what is and isn't tolerated in both worlds. Kind of like a common sense class for both worlds. Seems like a good thing to teach children to be able to blend in to both worlds.

Added classes for third years were classes for politics, Alchemy, enchanting, curse breaking, rituals, wards, astronomy, care of magical creatures and a few other might be coming in due time. Divination was completely gone since there was maybe only Luna who had actual seer skills but we could let her self study as all seers see differently.

"Alright you little monkeys off to bed you have a busy day tomorrow the teachers will be showing all the students how to effectively get to their classes and navigate hogwarts. Your teacher for the day will be Professor Black." Which would be Narcissa.

We were actually quite tired it was a long train ride and we were stuffed from the feast. So sleep sounded good. We made our way to our rooms and prepared for bed I had some shorts and a tshirt I liked to sleep in. The beds were just like the ones at the house. Memory foam. The school had done some slight upgrades all around the castle. Such as fixing drafts installing air conditioning and power units so it was cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Proper lighting in areas as torches were out of fashion.

All in all it looked nice. I had fired filch as he was just a grouchy old piece of shit. The house elves were delighted for more work as usually they only cleaned the common rooms at night then cooked while filch had taken over cleaning classrooms and hallways and everything else. Poorly at that. So they were quite happy to be doing more and the castle looked spotless and clean from top to bottom.

About 10 minutes after I was laying down I hear my door open and close and feel some people sneak into my bed under my covers and cuddle onto me. These would be the cuddly duo of Fluer and Luna.

"Just make sure you don't get caught by Hermione as I don't want to listen to her screeches about rules and such." I say with my eyes closed.

"Oui mi amor." I hear Fluer say as she snuggles closer. "We will be up before her." Luna says happily. They had been sneaking into my room for cuddles since they found out Bella did the same. Daphne also wanted to but was worried about her image for some reason. Probably because of Hannah and Hermione being here.

The other girls didn't mind. We were still mostly in the getting used to each other stage I still mainly saw them all as little girls. I let them do pretty much whatever they wanted though within reason.

After a few more minutes of everyone getting settled in we all dozed off happily. The next morning we were indeed up before Hermione and the two blondes snuck off back to their rooms to get ready for the day and shower. I did the same. We wouldn't be having classes today so I could wear regular clothes and be more comfortable. I really wanted to change up the dress code but figured people would throw a fit and I just didn't want to deal with it.
