"The bangle was presented to me as a gift..." Avery explained. 

That sounded weird.

How could the Millers' heirloom be presented to Avery as a gift? To Bob, Avery was lying! Without hesitation, he slapped Avery across the face. 

"'Do you think you're dealing with a fool? If you don't tell the truth, I promise to wipe out the entire Torres family at once!'

"Oh no! You useless thing, can't you just tell him the truth?"

"Do you want us all to die?"

"We're doomed!"

"You haven't ceased to be a curse to our family!"

Tears rolled down Avery's swollen red face as everyone continued to hurl insults at her.

"Believe me, it's a gift!" Avery cried out loud.

Hearing Avery say the same thing made every member of the Torres family curse Avery more.

Alice spoke up in tears, "Since Avery has refused to say the truth, why don't you take your revenge on her and leave the rest of us out of this."
