The Official Beginning of the Story

Leaving the Temple of Fate, Chu Yi already decided to return home and brief Momonga on what he had seen and what their next step should be. Beside him was Zues who seemed hesitant to speak, he knew what he wanted to ask, because he was not willing to disclose information about his race, that was his advantage or disadvantage depending on how you see it.

Looking towards the hall were Naberal and most of the gods of Olpymus was located, Chu Yi spoke, as if seeing the scene happening inside the hall, "Zues, now that we signed the treaty, i think it's time for us to part ways."

Nodding, Zeus reached out to shake Chu Yi hand, "I'm thankful we could become allies, if there were misunderstanding before, we would have become eternal enemies, fickleness of fate."

Chuckling, Chu Yi spoke with certainty, "As long as this treaty stands, we will have friendship." Chu Yi actually meant it. Currently Nazarick needs to develop and scout the globe for information about the powerhouses of this world. Making enemies before they even knew who they were is not a wise decision.

As Zues and Chu Yi were speaking, the carriage pulled by the Draconic Horses appeared above them, manned by Naberal.

Bidding farewell to Zues, they departed from the space of Oympus and returned back to the mortal world, above the town they originally disappeared from.

Looking at the town, he saw more humans with the black aura surrounding them. He was still curious about their motives, but since he already promised Zues not to interfere in the affair of the mortals of his land, he held back his curiosity.

"Naberal, find a deserted location so we can use the to return to Nazarick." Opening his notebook, he began to write what he had experienced and realized on this journey.

"Yes, Lord Yi."

"Zues, did the Fates gain any information on them?" Poisiden asked, holding his trident as he sat beside his sister, Hera.

All the gods looked at their king, with expectation but saw him shaking his head. "The Fates attempted to probe the Lightning Goddess but were met with resistance from a powerful being no less than Heaven Blazer, if they had continued they believe, even if they survived they would be injured severely. As for Heaven's Blazer? The Fates couldn't even see anything, it was like looking at the void."

Hera frowned and said, "If the Fates cannot see his fate, I'm more inclined to believe he is not from this universe or plane of existence. Don't forget, the Fates wield the power of the universe, nothing can hide their eyes. Even gods of different pantheons, can still have their fates altered by them, well except for the main gods. If you think about it this way, everything makes sense, how can there be Supreme Beings? We have been in existence for years yet we have not hear of these beings? Naberal told us that the Supreme Beings kill gods for sport but no such event was record. I don't doubt her since we all can tell she was not lying."

Zeus looked surprised at Hera and said, "Later I want you to explain what Naberal had said in my absence. Anyway, everything so far has confirmed my guess, Heaven's Blazer is not someone any of us can fight one on one, even with all of us, even if we kill him, there are 41 other such beings waiting for us, which means we will ultimately lose." All the gods nodded but weren't pleased to hear this even if it's a fact.

"I want to be clear, we are in no way or form to make an enemy out of this pantheon. Even with this treaty, I'm afraid it doesn't have that much binding power on beings not from our universe, if it had any at all."

"Ahha, it's rare for the almighty Zues to run with his tail between his legs." The skies became dark as a figure with a Bident appeared, with the wailing of souls.

Zeus looked at the figure with both surprise and anger, he was surprised his brother appeared in Olympus after all this time, and angered because of what he said. True he was afraid, but he didn't have to say it. He was still the king of the gods at the end of the day.

"Hades, I wonder what made you exit your lair, don't tell me you are here to start problems?" Zeus' eyes narrowed, as he stared threateningly at his brother. If anyone could threaten him amongst the gods, it had to be his brothers. They were the most powerful of the gods, each with their domain. If not because he feared his brother, he would not split the world into three.

"Brother, far from it, I wanted to know what are you going to do about these demons? They are making the Underworld full, the only place left is tartarus, but as we know, if souls enter there and are not immortal, they would limit the amount of mortals in our lands." Hades chuckled and disregarded Zues expression.

"There is no need to worry about that, the demons will cease to be not long from now. " He didn't explain and didn't ask as they knew he would remain quiet. Unknown to them, Zeus' eyes pierce through the Olympus space into a town, where a man was running from a demon.

'So it starts, I hope you can save the gods, Heron.'

Returning back to Nazarick, the first thing Chu Yi did was return to the Eternal Expanse to observe it before beginning a meeting with Momonga and the Guardians.

"Momonga, our plans for this world will have to change going forward. This world seems to be in the middle ages, as far as I can tell. However, the biggest decision to be careful with how we move forward is that face there are actual gods in this world. Nabarel and I have met the King of Olympus, Zues and formed a treaty with him."

The Floor Guardians' expressions change slightly. While they were arrogant and conceited they knew gods were powerful. Maybe not to the level of the Supreme Beings but they would be hard pressed to fight them on their own.

Sitting on his throne, Momonga grasps the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown tighty, pondering what Heavens Blazer said. Gods? This word has many meanings to people like Chu Yi and him.

To the NPCs, they were Supreme Beings who transcended everything. They were able to kill gods with relative ease but that was in a game and this was real life.

Gods were extremely powerful according to mythology. To be called True Gods or Chief Gods, one must possess one of the three O aspects; omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresence.

Zeus from the myths and legend lack omniscience and omnipresence but possess omnipotence. How that compares to Yggdrasil would decide how they move forward and respond to it.

"Lord Yi, forgive me but can you tell us what treaty you formed?"

"Albedo there is no need to watch your words, we are deciding Nazarick's future here. I signed a non-hostile treaty. We are restricted in our respective domains and forbidden from interfering in the lives of mortals. However, I decided to ask for privilege in roaming their lands on the premises we do not convert the mortals to our cause. They are allowed to roam our domain as well."

"Lord Yi, was that a smart move? How can we allow potential enemies inside Nazarick? That's laying out powers bare before them."

"Demiurge, your words are correct but when have I said they would be entering Nazarick? No matter what, Nazarick is our core of operation as well as our home, to let outsiders in, is to let a tiger into a sheeps den."

"But the treaty you signed compels you to. If you go against the treaty you will be harmed."

"That's true, however we are not from this plane of existence so the rules don't apply to us. Anyway, In the deal I formed, I gained four islands far from the mainland where we can develop. We will transform one of these islands into a dummy Nazarick, while the one with the real Nazarick will simply be covered in grassland. We will only strengthen the concealment around Nazarick."

"That's a smart move, Heavens Blazer, we can blend into this world while gaining information. However, I'm confused, why would the gods sign a treaty with us?"

This didn't make any sense, why would almighty gods amuse them? What is there to gain for them?

"Lord Momonga, it's obvious the gods are terrified of our might and don't dare to fight us." The other Floor Guardians nodded in agreement at the statement.

"Albedo is not wrong but also isn't right. The gods are terrified of us because they are under the impression there are 41 more beings of equal power to me. The gods are not as weak as you think, they have three people on the surface who can equal Rebedos power, in other words, me."

"Rebudo's power? That's going to be a problem."

Rebedo power was very clear to everyone present. No one inside Nazarick with the exception of Chu Yi can fight Rebudo, now there are three of them?

"Who are these gods?"

"They are Zues, Poseidon and Hera. I'm under the impression they might be more powerful as they are gods and possess divinity."

Momonga looked at Chu Yi with almost a questioning gaze. He wondered if he heard correctly.

"I know what you are thinking but it's the truth. Hera is actually that powerful. She is after all the Queen of the Heavens."

"What about Hades? According to myths, he doesn't pale to his brother's and in some stories is more powerful."

"Now you see why I signed the treaty? The unknown is terrifying, even for us. We need time to develop and inquire for information."

"You made a wise choice, Lord Yi."

"So since our plans have been formulated, I wish to say something. I wish to marry a wife, I can't remain a single father of nine children anymore."

The eyes of the Floor Guardians, especially Shalltear and Demiurge glinted with surprise and happiness.

Shalltear was happy because she wanted to be his wife. She originally wanted to be Momonga's wife but while she didn't want to admit it, she doesn't compare to Albedo at all. If not for the fact she was stronger, she couldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as her.

Demiurge was surprised because he wanted Momonga to get married and gain heirs but over time his goal changed.

With the words of Chu Yi in the throne room about him almost dying in the other world, Demiurge could infer the Supreme Beings won't be leaving.

As an undead, Momonga was immortal and could rule forever, meaning he had no need for heirs but Chu Yi was different.

Chu Yi is the right hand of Momonga. If Momonga was a King then Chu Yi would be the King's Advisor. If one day Momonga wishes to leave the throne, Chu Yi will be the next in line, so marrying will make the line of succession very strong but that's only if he marries a powerful woman.

While Chu Yi was powerful, if he marries a weak woman, his children will be unable to bring out the true power of a Supreme Being which will be a problem.

Momonga, not knowing that his Guardian's mind was running at hundred miles per hour, asked in wonder, "Who do you plan to fill that role?"

"I wish to make Hera my wife, she fits that role perfectly. Her divinity is literally motherhood, it would be a shame not to utilize it."

The room became quiet where one can hear a pin drop. Shalltear's face paled for a second and returned to normal.

The other Floor Guardians' faces became confused. Why would the Supreme Being before them say such words? How could an outsider be worthy of him?

"Hera?" Momonga looked at Chu Yi with surprise and nodded with realization, " If that's the case, we will restrict any harm to her life if we ever go to war with Olympus."

"Thank you, Momonga."

"Congratulations my Lord." All the Floor Guardians bow deeply, with different thoughts in their mind.

"Guardians, you all may leave."

"Yes, Lord Momonga!!" Everyone but Heavens Blazer bowed.

Watching everyone leave, Momonga interlocked his fingers and spoke to his comrade, "Heavens Blazer, before we end this meeting, I wish to know what you believe our goal should be in this world. Conquest or coexistence?"

Chu Yi pondered for a while before responding, "While I know conquest leads to ruin, I think this is the right way to go. We both know what a world without proper guidance will turn into. Though this world might be different since gods are a factor in this equation."

"Your idea is not much different from mine. My current goal is the continued existence of Nazarick and by extension the Eternal Expanse."

"I guess this means our will is still aligned." Chu Yi smiled but it was stiff and forced.

"So you have realized? As it stands, we are both the last Supreme Beings. If our thoughts cannot align, this will fracture Nazarick. I originally didn't want to bring this up, but I realized that the NPCs, though still loyal to us, are unable to justify some of their actions as they don't know our positions. To put it simply, they still have doubts about you."

"Yes, I have seen how the NPCs are acting. Even in the Eternal Expanse because Nazarick's presence was made known, dangerous thoughts began to sprout. The longer this goes on, the more danger it brings."

Momonga shook his head, "Sighed, Albedo has been pushing me to make a public announcement in the throne room about our status."

"Momonga, you are the leader of Ainz Ooal Gown, which is akin to a King and I, as a member, are your subordinate. Though tempting, this is not the path I want to walk. I have a family, people that care about me. Plus, I have a friend who invested his whole life into this lifestyle. You have far more right to rule than I do. Being the sword of the Supreme One doesn't seem so bad."

"Thank you." Momonga bowed with immense gratitude. It would be a lie to say he wasn't nervous but it was a conversation that they both knew they would have to bring up.

"No need for that. I had a selfish reason why I think you should rule, and that is because I wish to experience the wonders of this world." Chu Yi laughed and patted Momonga's shoulder.
