Chapter 1

"Hello?" Rey called. "Kylo Ren?"

He had told her to meet him at the park nearby but Rey didn't know where to find him. She didn't even know what he looked like.

"Rey?"

She jerked around and came face to face with who she least expected to be him. Kylo Ren looked around her age, with pale skin and dark brown eyes. He had long wavy dark hair followed by freckles that scattered across his face and neck. He was attractive but no Poe.

"Yeah it's me, and you must be Kylo." Rey smiled shyly before extending her hand for him to shake.

"Yup in the flesh," he moved closer to her and whispered in her ear. "You better not tell this to anyone kid. I usually don't help anyone but you're an exception, don't abuse it."

"Okay, I won't. I promise."

Kylo breathed a sigh of relief before continuing.

"So does this guy go to your school?"

"Yeah his name is Poe Dameron and he's like the most popular guy in school. Poe is one of my best friends and I like him, a lot."

"Okay so for this plan, I was thinking of attending your school."

"Really?"

"Yeah I'm a junior."

"Oh I'm a sophomore and so is Poe."

"Okay great. I'll attend under a different name so no one knows it's me."

"That sounds perfect! Thank you!"

Kylo smiled as Rey's eyes lit up with excitement.

"So if anyone asks you're just an old friend of mine."

"Okay."

"Make sure to mention we hate the idea of dating each other, just in case Poe —"

"Okay okay I get it kid."

Rey smiled as they walked into school together.

"So Rey who's the guy?"

Rey's face turned red as Poe leaned against the locker next to her.

"A friend — like an old friend. B-but don't worry — we would never date each other — I mean."

"Calm down Rey I get it. Just wanted to know who he is. All the girls are going crazy."

"Oh really?"

"Yup this kid has got a whole band of admirers."

Rey blushed and chuckled at Poe's as Kylo made his way next to her. He extended his hand to Poe.

"Ben, Ben Solo."

"Dameron, Poe Dameron. Nice to meet you mr.pretty boy."

"Um excuse me?"

Poe rolled his eyes then laughed. "You've got a little gang of admirers."

Kylo turned and saw the crowd of girls behind him. Rey laughed at his reaction.

"Oh I didn't know that —"

Poe laughed before clapping him on the shoulder.

"I'll see you later Rey! Nice to meet you Solo!"

And with that he was gone. Kylo turned to Rey.

"He doesn't seem to like you."

"Wow geez that's encouraging."

He shrugged. "He just doesn't and I would know. That Poe guy seems to like someone but it's not you."

"You're here to help me! Not make things worse!"

"I know, I know. I'm just stating the facts."

"Whatever."

Rey walked away from him.

"I'm sorry okay?"

"It's fine, are you still helping me though?"

Rey turned around to face him.

"Yeah why?"

"You said he didn't like me." Rey crossed her arms.

"I don't know that for sure, I assumed." Kylo shrugged. "For now let's just get his focus mainly on you."

"Okay how would we do that?"

"You have to dress to impress without really trying. At this point I would also bring up common interests but you guys are close friends so I think that's fine."

"Thank you for this Kylo. I surely hope this works."

"I hope too, kid. I hope too."
