Chapter 17

He awoke to rough hands shaking him. They were persistent and harsh. Ren didn't want to wake up, but he did, when Hux decided to push him onto the ground and off the bed.

"Ren! Come on, get up."

"What if I don't feel like it?"

"You have to, you are Snoke's newest member and one he thinks will bring him higher."

"And why is that?"

Hux rolled his eyes and crossed his arms across his chest.

"It's because, people love this thing you have going on here..."

"Okay..."

"And he wants to expand it, reach across to more people."

Ren stayed silent.

"Well don't just stand there! Come on."

Nodding Ren went to pull on a shirt before meeting Hux in the hall.

"Mr.Snoke." Hux bowed his head down and Ren followed suit.

"Boys, no need for the formality. Just call me Snoke."

"Why'd you call me here — Snoke?"

Snoke scanned Ren up and down. He sighed.

"I believe you were told why already, but I'll say it again, you're here to make Heartbreak Hotline huge."

"Huge?"

"Yes, huge. To reach to so many more people and become a huge phenomenon. Your first call starts soon, Hux will lead you to the room."

Hux nodded before gesturing Kylo to follow. After waking down a couple of halls they reached a door.

"Here. Sit down in the recording chair and you'll hear a ring meaning your first call."

"Okay thank you General Sux." Ren smirked.

"No problem Ceylon Ren." Hux made a saluting gesture before walking away.

Then Ren entered the room, it was all black and modern, with recording equipment much more expensive and advanced then what he used to use. He settled in the chair and his thoughts started to wander.

He felt a pang after her name seared through his mind.

He heard a ringing sound and putting his thoughts aside, he answered.

"Heartbreak Hotline, how may I help you?"

"My friend likes this girl and it's been making him very upset. He doesn't know how to confess his feelings to her and it's only making the girl drift away. I really hate seeing him upset even though I'll never admit it to his face. How can I get him to realize he likes her?"

"Well for starters, confront your friend. Let him know you're concerned for him and that he needs to step up. Also don't be too harsh about it, just help him in realizing he's letting her slip away and that he needs to act on his feelings."

"Thank you."

The caller hung up and Ren sighed. Glancing out the window he saw Hux holding his phone.

Then he realized, the caller was Hux. And that the call was about him.
