Existence In War

During the war, people were opposed to austerity,

Claiming the ultimate road towards salvation,

That doctrine of self destruction is penned,

In the form of lavishly illustrated parchment.

Inclined to capitulate or conquer,

The people's life being wrecked,

On victory, the rich relished the benefits,

But, the Poor's soul got more retrograded.
