Dilemmas.

He lifted me up, saying: "I FEEL SO ALIVE!" - He started to spin around with me while we both smiled, saying: "I never even thought I would have this much fun with you!!"

He put me back on my feet and awkwardly affirmed: "Ahhh.. Now I just feel sorry for beating you so much.."

"I forgive you.. As I said, everyone deserves a second chance" - I smiled at him.

He smiled back and then said: " Well, maybe we could do this more often!!"

"It's odd how fast you instantly accepted me and your true self. You gotta get used to drinking blood, and I see you're incredibly strong.. But." - He took my arm and continued - "We have to add some muscle to this petite body."

"Uhm.. Can I still hang out with my human friends though? I miss them.." - I looked up at him.

"Well, you see.. There were never many vampires around here so I was pretty lonely, and I got used to being around humans at times, even if I hate to admit it. So I suppose that being with an inferior kind isn't too bad.. In short, you can, but don't go too far with them."

I hugged him, smiling, saying: "Thank you so much!!"

"No problem, also don't ever take drugs, cigarettes or drink alcohol, that will make you inferior." - He said, as I let go of the hug.

I looked up at him, saying: "Thanks for the info." He looked down at me and said: "And I would like to meet those friends of yours. You said you were part of a club right?"

"Yeah, I'm part of the Literature Club!"

He looked intrigued and said: "Hmm.. Are you in good relations with them?"

I looked away, holding my elbow, trying not to smile: "Well, Monika, my ex-girlfriend is there, MC, Yuri and Sayori are the people who are closest to me.."

"Monika, huh? I would like to meet her.." - He stopped in his tracks and looked around, continuing - "Ah damn, I just realized we're still in this filthy place.. Let's get out of here before we get caught!"

He started sprinting home, shouting: "LET'S RACE HOME!" I smiled and sprinted after him, shouting back: "IF I GET IN FIRST, YOU HAVE TO BUY ME MANGA!!"

Dadsuki then smiled and thought to himself: "Heh.. She's going to be great, I can already see it."

I ended up running past our house while Dadsuki jumped and landed on our roof.

"SHIT, TOO FAST-" - I said, while stopping myself from sprinting any further.

Dadsuki called me over: "Come here, Nat!!"

I smiled and jumped, landing next to him on the roof. I noticed MC looking up at me as I landed, while he thought to himself: "Natsuki..?"

"Woah, you can jump far.." - My dad smiled at me.

I smiled back confidently.

My dad sat down on the roof and looked into the distance, smiling: "Damn, this was fun.."

MC waved at me, I smiled at him and waved back, I then asked my dad: "Hey, let's get inside?"

He looked at me and nodded, saying: "Yeah, let's go."

I jumped off the roof and got in by using the front door.. Obviously. Reader, what did you think I was gonna do? I don't want him to be upset if I break anything. Anyway, back to me and my dad!

My dad looked at me and said: "Now.. Since you're a hybrid, you can't die when you come in contact with sunlight, nor do you need to drink blood as I said before.. But, if you drink a lot of blood, you will become even stronger.. However, your skin will become sun sensitive, so you must maintain your human and vampiric sides balanced."

"Yeah, I do want to become stronger but I will be careful about it." - I said, looking away.

"Also, I want to gain your friends' trust including MC's, and also yours for that matter.." - Dadsuki said, crossing his arms.

"We only meet in the afternoon though.."

We both started brainstorming. He finally came up with an idea and said: "I have an idea. You can get your friends for a sleepover here so I can meet them. But one at a time, or else it will be super loud. And we don't have enough rooms for uh.. 7 people in the house, we have only one guest room."

I smiled, replying: "Yeah, that's the best idea."

He looked over at the time and said: "Well, it's late.. I should be going to bed since it's almost 5AM..". He closed the blinds of the windows while I looked at the living room clock, whispering: "And I have to get ready for school.."

He grabbed his wallet and gave me 20 bucks, saying: "Yeah, good luck at school.. Get some food for yourself, would you?". I took it and looked at it for a second. I was speechless, I couldn't remember the last time he even cared to give me food..

I smiled, hugging him, saying: "Thank you so much.."

"No problem!" - He said, then he kissed my cheek and I was so surprised, as soon as he realized what he did, he said - "Shit, I got too soft there.."

I smiled and said to myself: "Heh, softie.. Anyway, I gotta get ready for school now."

"Okay, well good morning!" - He said, smiling.

"And good night to you.." - I said, smiling back.

My face started cramping from smiling so much, but honestly, I didn't really care.. I accepted myself the way I am, I'm his daughter and I'm being treated properly now.. While my thoughts were getting put back together, I put the money in my wallet and prepared everything. Once that was done, I walked outside, making my way to school.

*Dadsuki's POV*

Before I knew it though, it was already afternoon. My dad woke up around that time and sat up on his bed, saying: "Ahhh.. I can't remember the last time I slept this well.."

*Natsuki's POV*

While I was walking home, I saw MC ahead of me and I smiled, calling for him: "MC, wait up!!" - I caught up to him and continued - "Hey! So uh.. I was thinking of inviting you over to my house for a sleepover, are you up for it?"

He smiled and answered: "Sure, why not?"

I then started walking with him towards my house and Dadsuki arrived at the living room to sit on the couch, until he heard a knock on the door. He looked at the door for a few moments and then opened the door, seeing me along with MC. He said: "Oh hey, Nat!" - He then looked over at MC and greeted him: "Hello there."

MC looked up at Dadsuki and waved, a bit nervous from last time.

I smiled at my dad and said: "Hey, dad!"

We both walked inside and my Dad closed the door, asking: "So, how are you two?"

"I'm fine, I had some snacks before going back here" - I smiled to myself.

"Well, that's just great, I'm assuming your day was also good, boy? By the way, what's your name? I never asked you." - Dadsuki asked, looking over at MC.

"My name is MC." - He replied, looking back at him.

"MC? Just MC?" - My dad looked confused

MC nodded awkwardly to the realization he didn't set up an actual name for himself and said: "Yep, just MC."

"Okay then.." - He said while sitting on a single couch, while me and MC sat together on the bigger one. He then grabbed today's newspaper and read out loud the one that was most in display: "More Than Ten Outlaws And Junkies Found Dead In An Alley.."

He shook his head and said: "Tsk tsk, what world do we live in.."

I looked away, trying not to smile, saying: "I agree.."

My dad looked over at MC and asked: "What do you think of this horrendous event, MC?"

MC started to feel uneasy from the fear of wondering who would have done such a thing and said: "I wonder what happened and why, to be honest.."

Dadsuki looked away, saying: "I don't even want to know to be honest.. Even the thought of it sends shivers down my spine.."

MC looked over at both of us and said, holding his elbow: "Yeah, it must have been horrible.."

My dad then looked at me and MC, saying: "Whoever did this though must be dangerous, you know? Someone not to mess with, someone badass.."

I looked at my dad, smiling and whispered: "B-Badass?" He winked at me and smiled, he then looked at MC and continued: "Well, when you get into drugs and dark businesses, you end up badly."

"Yeahhh, I don't wanna know what happened to them…" - I said, looking away.

"Hey uh.. We never established where I would sleep." - MC said, looking puzzled.

"Well, we only have two rooms.. And a guest room but it's not really prepared since we never had visitors to stay overnight. Maybe I could give you my room? I could sleep elsewhere." - Dadsuki said, looking at MC.

"Or I could just sleep on the couch? You don't have to go out of your way to do anything that way." - MC replied, looking over at the couch.

My dad gasped and replied immediately: "No! A guest sleeping on the couch? NEVER, MY PRIDE DOESN'T ALLOW! Actually wait.. My room is kinda uh.. Dusty. Where could we go with you?"

My dad started to sweat slightly while MC started to think of a solution. I finally spoke up, looking away: "I guess the only choice is for him to sleep with me in my bedroom.."

I saw my dad grin at the corner of my eye as he said: "Yeees! Good idea, Natsuki–! Ahem. Yes, you can sleep with Natsuki, how come that didn't fall into my mind?"

He's so extra.. I scoffed and smiled.

My dad then said: "You go get changed, Natsuki."

I nodded and climbed up the stairs, going into my bedroom, meanwhile MC was about to head upstairs but Dadsuki grabbed his arm and looked down at him, his face had changed from welcoming to strict in a second as he said: "You better not pull a nasty trick.."

"I won't.." - MC looked away.

Dadsuki took a moment to analyze his reaction and let go of him. He looked at the time, it was almost 10pm. He said: "You better not. You can go into her room now, I'm sure she has already changed into her pajamas. Don't be loud or anything."

MC started walking away and said: "Alright." - He then walked into my room and closed the door behind us.

*Dadsuki's POV*

Dadsuki went into his room and sat on his bed, thinking to himself: "I have excellent hearing, so I will hear if Natsuki.. moans or anything."

*Natsuki's POV*

While he went into his room, MC and I laid on my bed and under the covers, he kissed my lips. It took me by surprise, I blushed while looking up at him.

He gave me a gentle smile in reply to my reaction and laid his head on his pillow, saying, half asleep: "Good night, Nat.."

*Dadsuki's POV*

Dadsuki heard the kiss, and thought immediately: "Did I hear.. a wet sound? Well, I did hear the boy saying "Good night".."

*Natsuki's POV*

I got out of my bed carefully to not wake him up and walked out of my room, and looked at my dad. I sighed and said: "Don't worry, it was just a kiss."

His eyes widened in surprise and he shouted out of instinct: "NANI?!" - He covered his mouth with both hands and sighed loudly.

I went into the bathroom and started to brush my teeth, that's when I heard his voice in my head. He was using telepathy while saying: "HEY!! Be careful. He kissed you.. Did he kiss your lips?"

I rolled my eyes while staring at myself in the mirror and answered through telepathy also: "Why does it matter anyway?"

He got annoyed and replied: "Just answer the question! You are still naive, and I'm your father, I wanna protect you."

I sighed as I finished and walked out of the bathroom, saying: "Well yeah, he did kiss my lips. But it's not like you haven't done that already, and I'm eighteen, don't forget that."

He looked at me annoyed, saying: "Don't go any further than that then.. WAIT, YOU SAID HE WAS A FRIEND OF YOURS!? Are you two dating?"

I glanced at MC resting and then looked back at my dad, replying: "He did kiss me earlier and before I even made my decision, after breaking up with Monika, he was the one who kept me safe while I was over at his house.. He took care of me. So I'd say yes."

He rolled his eyes.

"You could've told me THAT earlier.."

I got a little nervous and replied: "Well you see.. I thought you would flip out right away if I told you before I made my decision with your mindset towards humans.."

"Well then, you should sleep now. I'll go to the living room."

I went back to my bedroom and laid next to MC again. I tried closing my eyes to catch some sleep but it was in vain so I got out of bed again and went downstairs into the kitchen and made a sandwich.

I started munching on it and walked towards the living room, talking to him through telepathy again: "Hey Dad."

He looked over at me and replied using telepathy: "Oh hey. Couldn't catch any sleep?"

I continued to eat my sandwich and finished it soon enough, sitting next to my dad, replying: "Well, I did try to sleep, but sleep didn't quite come to me so I figured I'd just stay downstairs with you. Besides, I wanna train again, but this time, I want a harder test."

I saw him grin and I smiled, asking: "I see you've got an idea.. What's my test this time?"

"I am. Let's go outside."

My thought process stopped. What? He's my test?? He is way harder than those junkies all right but.. Alright! I saw him walk outside and followed along.

My dad then started talking normally, asking: "Let's see.. Where could we possibly go? It would be good if it was an unpopulated area.."

I smiled as if a lightbulb lit up in my mind as I got an idea. Talk about cartoon effects.. And I said: "Follow me!"

I started sprinting away from our neighborhood as he followed me until we reached our destination.

It was a place full of burnt out, destroyed houses. The moonlight hovering over the place set the vibe as haunting but somewhat welcoming.

My dad looked around the area quite surprised, while I crossed my arms, smiling.

"Beautiful.. How did you find this place?" - He asked me.

"Remember those junkies and when we ran back home? I looked at my surroundings while I ran and got a glimpse of this place, so I had to take us here cuz this place looked awesome." - I said, with some pride in my tone.

He smiled and said: "Nice."

I walked away from him to gain some distance on him and said, looking determined: "Well.. You ready to start?"

He started cracking his knuckles and said: "I was born ready.."

I smiled at him and punched him in the face and stomach, but as always he didn't move an inch and looked down at me: "Come on.. Is that all you've got?"

I got a bit nervous and said: "Well.. I could improve..!"

He crossed his arms, replying: "You better do. Now, give me all you got."

I jumped up in the air and tried kicking him away. Once again, he didn't flinch but his nose started bleeding. He said: "Okay.. Enough playing around."

He then kicked me in the stomach and I fell to the ground, a bit away from him, whimpering slightly but I got back up almost immediately.

He then ran up to me to punch me in the face, but I grabbed his fists and kicked him away.

He looked surprised and smiled, saying: "Such fast reflexes.. Impressive."

I sprinted towards him to punch him repeatedly but he grabbed both of my fists and threw me against a destroyed house wall which I ended up breaking. He walked up to me and lifted me by my arm, saying: "But.. Fast reflexes aren't enough to beat me. you still lack in physical strength."

As soon as he finished that line, I found myself laying on the ground with his foot on my chest keeping me from getting up, while saying: "Speed is good but you don't acquire the characteristics I do. But soon you will." - He helped me getting up, continuing - "Well, the sun is about to rise. We need to go."

We ran back home at an alarming speed while he said: "I see you have fighting skills, and incredibly strong. There's definitely room for improvement if you are properly fed. You did good, not gonna lie, this was fun."

I smiled as we got in. He turned off the TV and looked at the clock.. 5AM..

"Almost morning time, meaning, I have to get ready for school.." - I said, annoyed.

"And meaning I must go to bed soon." - He added.

Both of us then headed to our respective rooms and I smiled, waving my Dad good night.

He smiled back, whispering: "Good luck at school."

I entered my room and noticed MC in front of me already awake.

"Hey Nat, where were you?" - MC asked.

I looked up at MC nervously and said, smiling: "Well, I couldn't catch any sleep so I went outside to get some fresh air!"

He started feeling like something was off and said: "At night?.."

"You know how it's more chilly at night, right? Perfect weather to sit outside and relax" - I replied, confidently - "Anyways, we need to get ready for school. We don't wanna arrive late now, do we?"

I glanced at him as he replied: "You're right.."

We prepared for school and went to school as usual. Time flew past me as we attended the club meeting with Monika, the president, Sayori, the vice president, the other club members and obviously me.

Before I could catch myself gazing at my manga, it was already time to go home. I got up and grabbed my bag, and while walking home, I saw Monika again.

"Hey, wait up!" - I pouted slightly, looking at her walking home a bit further from me.

She heard me and looked back at me smiling, saying: "Hey, Natsuki! I didn't notice you, I mean, you don't usually follow me home."

I looked away and said, walking with her: "Well I did.. So.. I was wondering if you wanna come over to my house for a sleepover?"

"Yeah, sure! I don't really have plans for later anyways." - She smiled at my suggestion.

I smiled and said: "Perfect!" - My smile faded when something came to mind however. I then said - "Hey.. Do you think that he will be back?"

Monika's throat suddenly felt like a desert as she swallowed in nervousness as she thought to herself: "H-Him..? No, he can't come back, I couldn't get out of there myself, so it should be safe.."

She then sighed and recollected her thoughts, finally replying: "No.. I don't think so."

"…." - There was a moment of silence before I looked at Monika again, though, I broke the silence - "He better not. Anyways, I'll see you at my dad's place, I know you already know my address, come over when you have the time so you can have some closure with my dad."

I then ran to my house to have enough time to prepare for everything. I knocked at the front door.

"Monika's here." - I said, turning to my Dad.

"Your ex-girlfriend?" - He replied from across the room, sitting on the couch watching a show.

"Yep, she's at the door." - I replied, opening the front door and letting her in.

"Oh hey, Dadsuki!" - She waved at my dad with a gentle smile.

"How in the- How do you know my name? You never met me.." - Dadsuki asked, surprised.

"Oh, don't worry about that, it's nothing major, Natsuki told me about you long ago." - Monika avoided the question with some ease.

I crossed my arms and smiled, saying: "Well, would you like to eat anything?" - to which she replied - "No thanks, I actually ate something before coming over."

"Well, if you need anything, there are some cupcakes I made inside a recipient in the kitchen."

Just as I said that, I felt a buzzing sound coming from my bag. I picked up my phone and looked at it, it was a message from MC.

"Hey, I miss you, do you mind coming over for a bit?"

I looked at it for a second and then glanced at Monika.

"Jeez.. I can't leave now, Monika's over at my house meeting my dad." - I texted back.

"C'mon, I haven't seen you in a few days, besides, you can leave those two alone to actually have a proper convo, right?"

I sighed to myself.

"Fine, I'll be there in a minute!"

I looked over at my dad and Monika who were sitting in the living room and said: "I'm going over to MC's house, I'll see you guys in a bit."

I walked over to the front door and saw Monika's death stare at me in the corner of my eye. I knew it wasn't because of me, but because of him. Regardless, I walked outside and walked my way to his house.

I soon arrived and knocked on his door. He opened in a matter of seconds and I came in, looking away.

"Morning, Nat!" - He smiled, welcoming me in as usual.

"Morning, couldn't you wait until Monika was home?""I missed you!" -MC hugged me, I hugged him back smiling. He then continued - "Have you eaten anything yet?"

"Not really, I don't really focus on that.." - I crossed my arms.

"I'll cook something for you! What do you want?"

"Uh.. Probably something light, do you have crackers?"

MC gave me some crackers from the cabinet in the kitchen and I put them in my bag, smiling.

"Aren't you gonna eat those?"

"I'll save them for later.. I gotta go home, I'll see you later!" - I kissed his cheek and left.

He waved me goodbye and I walked home, facepalming.

"Damn it.. Why did he have to invite me when Monika was here?"

I went inside my dad's house and closed the door behind me, and immediately locked eye contact with Monika.

"How was paradise?" - She asked, I could tell that she was annoyed.

"You're a jealous one, aren't you..?"

"You should know me by now, Nat.."

"Excuse us, I need to talk to her in private." - I said, pulling Monika upstairs.

My dad looked over at me while me and Monika climbed up the stairs but I didn't care, Monika was getting on my nerves for some reason.

I walked inside my room with her and closed the door behind us.

"What's your deal, huh? Can't I date him?" - I spoke, knowing that we were alone now.

"...He ruined our relationship, what do you expect me to do?!"

"Move on like a normal person? I mean, that's what people usually do, don't you think?"

"You know I can't just move on, not while I just met your father and obviously still have feelings for you. I'm not that type of person, you might think it's easy to move on from someone, but no it's really not!-"

She was interrupted by my phone ringtone. Fuck, is it him again? I pulled my phone from my pocket to see MC calling me.

I picked up and put it on speaker, signaling Monika to shut up.

"What is it? Need something?" - I asked, kind of annoyed from earlier.
