Hazel ended up going to an urgent care clinic right after they checked into the hotel because she wanted to make sure the baby was okay after all the stress she went through during the day. Her arm and neck wounds were of secondary concern since the bandages weren't completely soaked through.

Will waited for her patiently in the lobby, not wanting to let her out of his sight. Today had freaked him out too.

They numbed her arm with something light that wouldn't affect her baby and stitched up the long cut on her arm with dissolvable stitches. She lied and claimed it was an accident involving a falling knife. The doctor didn't seem to buy it but what else could she say?

Claiming she had been mugged would involve a police report. It was better to let them be skeptical.

"Your baby is fine," a nurse reassured her once the procedure was done. "But you really do need to keep your stress down or it might be in trouble in the future."
