Chapter 27

"This shit is so real. We made it y'all" Shane cheered.

Everyone glanced at each other, grinning widely, babbling, and hugging each other.

These humans who were also students and teachers of Hampton High just discovered vampires exist, but they didn't give a fuck, because well, they could have been meals to some ugly creatures, but somehow, they made it out alive.

"So, what now?" Luna asked.

It was barely sun rise, so Luna and her vampire friends were not getting burned up.

A teacher raises her voice.

"We just witnessed a lot. In actual fact, we owe our lives to this young dreaded man over there, and well, Luna Jenkins" she shouted for all to hear.

"Yeah!" Everyone said in unison.

The teacher and everyone gather round Shola, expressing their gratitude.

(Shola chuckles, tensing up his muscles, and relieving them after. He was trying to heal)

"No folks, you really don't have to. I was only helping an old friend. Besides, those original vampires have been having their fun for decades without us interfering. I would say, the people you should thank are Abubakar and Luna. Abubarkar is why I'm here, and well, let's just say, Luna played a major role getting rid of Roberto. Without Roberto, the original vampires are without magic. They are literally trapped in paradise, because it was created by Roberto and I many decades ago" Shane explained vividly.

Everyone turns to Abubarkar.

"Thank you really!" they gratefully said.

"No shit. Hey, we should get going" Abubarkar tells his vampires.

Shola, Abubarkar and the other vampires get on their feet, and headed towards their home.

Luna runs up to them, catching up with Abubarkar, and reaching for his clothes.

"I owe you my life Ab. You made me realize so much about me, you know. Thank you, really!" Luna uttered, with an emotional expression on her face.

"You're special newbie. You will do more, if you believe you can"

"Hey, I'm Luna, okay!" she corrects.

"You call me Ab whilst my name is Abubarkar, so I guess we're even" Abubarkar justifies.

"Ha ha. I guess so. I promise to visit sometime"

"You should Luna, you should"

(Luna flashes a smile)

"You called me Luna. Finally! I should head back" Luna said, walking back to the tents.

(Abubarkar chuckles as Luna turns back to the tents)

A teacher was giving an announcement when Luna came back.

"Students and fellow teachers of Hampton High. It's a miracle we're alive. Miracles do happen. Before this experience we had, I wouldn't say that. Personally, I'm grateful as fuck. I shouldn't be using a swear word but fuck it. We literally escaped a slaughter. Moore's creek had always been rumored to be haunted. We just had no idea there was truth in that rumor. Actually, the rumor itself is the truth. So, we can't continue camping. In an hour, when the sun is up fully, we will head back to school, and then, you get back to your homes"

(Students murmur, feeling bad that they didn't get the full experience of camping)

Tristin, the students representative, rises to the podium, where the teacher was standing.

"I speak to both the teachers and students present. I get it. I was undeniably scared as fuck. Hell, I and a few others were captured by ruthless, ugly creatures, and held in their captivity for days, before y'all joined the party. Those days we were with them, fear creeped into all our asses. We were terrified, visualizing what death would feel like, or if there was an after life. What happened would probably cause a lot to our psychological life. Some of us would have nightmares, ceaseless nightmares which will fuck us up real good. Even the memory of being sucked by those beasts would haunt some of us psychologically throughout the rest of our lives. I don't mean to scare y'all. I also understand why the teachers think we should go back home, but is it necessary? I mean, go back now or not. We would still get haunted by this experience. So, why not have some good old fashioned fun the remaining days we got to spend in Moore's Creek" Tristin spoke calmly, with a confident and relaxed tone.

"Why not throw an actual party" Shane suggested right there in the crowd.

"Yeah, where we don't get fed on by beasts!" Some other dude from the crowd supported Shane's suggestion.

(Students yell in protest. They were all like fuck it teachers. We gonna stay in Moores creek, and have some fun, before leaving)

(The teachers feel compelled to let them throw a party)

"Okay, just one party!" A teacher agrees.

"Yep, just one party, and we leave" Another teacher adds.

The sun was almost up, Luna starts panicking.

She searches for Johnny in the crowd, bumping into a bunch of people on the way.

"Johnny, finally!" She said, leaning on his arms.

"Hey Luna. You turned out to be our savior back there, you know"

"Oh yeah? You were the one who healed over 400 humans with your blood"

"I got my ass thrown away after that. You convinced those originals that Roberto is the enemy"

"Yeah about that. I had a little bit help" Luna admitted.

"I'm starving" Johnny pointed out.

"Hell, not as much as me"

(Both of 'em head back to Johnny's tent)

"Where's my bag at?"

(Luna rushes to get it)

"This is the second bag. Luna!?"

"Yeah well, I'm a newbie" Luna laughed.

(Johnny sighs, and smiles after)

Both of them look at each other, and on the count of 5, reach for pints of blood, instantly tearing it open, gushing it down their throats.

"Yeah, that's the feeling. Right there. Yes" Luna says with a satisfied expression on her face.

(Johnny fixes his gaze on Luna who is obsessed with the satisfaction of drinking blood)

"What happens when this pints are you know, exhausted" Johnny says the last word, feeling uncertain of what happens next.

"Fuck that. How do I get to walk in the sun, just like you?"

(Luna's words come as a shock to Johnny)

"What!?"

"You heard me the first time. I want to be a day walker like you"

"That's uhm a lot"

(Luna keeps looking at him, observing his lips. She ran her hands over his hair, messing it up. Her fondling helps give Johnny the chills)

"Help me Johnny. Please" Luna pleaded.

(Johnny gets upright on his feet)

"You would need a sorcerer for that, rituals and stuff. A bit spooky, takes about a day to do them. My mom's a sorceress so..."

"Yo, your mom is a frigging sorceress, she knows you're a vampire?" Luna asks, in surprise.

"Yeah sure. She's cool with it. I can help you, but that would be when we get back to School"

"What, how do I cope?"

"Chill Luna. We do most of our camping stuff at night, so you'd fit in pretty well" Johnny assures Luna.

"Great. Well, at least you can help"
