Uninvited at Hogwarts.

As I got up from my bed I started to feel a little nostalgic.

The place I now call hut was nothing more than a small place without trees before.

But right now after my and Slyde's effort, we finally shaped it up to today's lively hut.

The hut is now similar to Hagrids hut. It had a lot of skin and hide from the outside to keep the cold outside from coming into the house.

The inside was similar to the garage of any dad. It had any kind of tool and weapon all ranging from skinning tools to even a hoe. The way to use every tool was taught by Slyde.

I was starting to feel suspicious. There is no way Slyde could use it so why? But I just refrained from asking. After all, it was my friend and I didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable.

{Wake up or I will pour cold water on you!} I jokingly said.

{Ssssss Chill, Eric I am already awake. Wait! Why are you still holding that bucket full of water?!}

{Hahahahahahah}

Well, you can imagine the rest. But Slyde was a little angry with this method of waking up. But I didn't mind since today will be extremely important.

{Slyde, today we will be going to Hogwarts}

{SSSSsssss. Finally.}

Don't worry we won't just go uninvited and just say hi. Well, the thing about going uninvited is true but we have a plan that we created together with Slyde after me confirming it's Hogwarts.

And you ask how did I confirm it's the Hogwarts I know? It wasn't that hard. All that was enough was just to look directly at the castle and you would always find students looking from the windows. And just seeing the Hagrid hut also was enough proof.

And what's the plan? Just let yourself be surprised.

The time we go to Hogwarts is also important. Going at night was certainly a big no-no. As I wanted someone to find me. If I met someone kind they may be the connection I need to the magical world and learn their magic. My understanding of my magic also changed over a year.

My magic improvement in a year was extreme. I also learned some new things. Like I learned that cold magic was dark magic.

It was extremely powerful but always disliked, since the wizards who practice it are mostly evil. I figured that using dark magic somewhere in school was also a big no-no since all magic leaves marks behind. And surprisingly this information was learned not from Slyde, but from centaurs that hunted me.

They could find me thanks to the mark I left behind every time I used dark magic. I learned to use Dark magic quite well. I could now control it to the point of me not going crazy after using it. I was able to enhance my power, speed, and reflexes, but also use some self-created spells with dark magic. I can also release a small part of controlled dark magic out of my body.

The most surprising thing I found about dark magic myself is that when I kill something or someone it gets strengthened. But that also meant harder control. So in the end I couldn't even use less than 1% of all my dark magic without going crazy.

But once I went crazy and unleashed all my strength, the whole forbidden forest would shiver and hide. Except for some special creatures that had powerful core magic. Most of the core magic is weak or just impractical like a sticky tongue. Some are a little weird but the powerful ones like shadow leak, I still don't dare to attack.

Shadow leak just basically makes them able to split their shadow and let it attack me with the same power and abilities as them.

It may sound okay since in my crazy state I could still kill it if it just multiplies by 2. But the thing is that the shadow split has the same core magic. And once it multiplies to it being more than 150 splits from a single creature still makes me shudder a little. Of course, there is a weakness but I haven't found one yet.

And the warm magic that I used for healing was just normal magic that was used for spells. I haven't experimented with normal magic that much. But I know that it gets slowly strengthened every day. And with each use, it gets also a little stronger. And since I have been always using it for training since it can be used as recovery, I believe it should be a little stronger than average, even though I don't have anyone to test it with.

Once I sorted out everything I knew about magic I was already halfway on my way to Hogwarts. It was around 8 am right now. I was monitoring the students almost every day. And on yesterday's check, I noticed that a lot of children were leaving. I guessed that it must be already the Christmas holidays since there was some snow outside.

I also noticed that thanks to normal magic I have some protection against hot temperatures, as well as cold. So I was still wearing the normal hunter uniform that I made from a magical beast named Rockwolf that had a particularly strong hide. There was even a special space for Slyde to hide in an emergency so that no one could notice him.

I had three daggers from unicorn horns. They were extremely durable. I could easily say that they were stronger than steel. I have to yet find a way to break them. But then how did I shape them into daggers you ask? Well, the only way is by using dark magic to slowly let it in and let it destroy the parts you don't want. Making the dagger extremely sharp if you were to control dark magic carefully.

I was completely ready for anything to come if you were to ask me.

And with that, I stepped out of the forbidden forest for the first time in a year.

It was a long time in a forest. But it was enjoyable. Mostly thanks to Slyde to which I could talk to.

And while I still didn't do some things I wanted to do like visiting that orphanage. It wasn't because I didn't have time or something. It was because I couldn't find it anywhere in the forest. I didn't understand how but I just couldn't. It was a weird thing that I was sure to mark inside my mind to investigate later.

I made my way near the gates of Hogwarts as I looked at the castle.

It was massive. And If I said massive, I meant extremely huge. It was so big that the first time I saw it I almost pooped myself just thanks to its size. It was an impressive masterpiece. There could also be marks of history in it but they were just like the most exquisite part of art. It was awesome. I would love to live in something like that someday.

As I entered through the gates I was a little surprised that it was open. I attributed it to the Dumbledor being too confident in the school's ability. Not that anyone would dare to rob something anytime soon.

I slowly made my way toward the entrance of Hogwarts. And surprisingly it was open again. It was starting to be a little suspicious. Two times in a row is a little weird. But it shouldn't matter to me. What I need to do right now is to find some kind adult that would listen to my story and help me.

As I was walking inside the empty castle on the first floor. I heard some footsteps behind me. I knowingly continued on my way still looking around at classrooms and some random rooms that were all around me. The portraits were showing surprised looks at seeing me and then rapidly discussing something.

I knew they were talking about me. But it didn't matter for now.

All I wanted for now was for the person behind me to finally speak to me.

As the person behind me was one step away from me he finally made his move.

"Hey, little guy, are you lost or something?" said the person behind me, and at the same time touched my shoulder to make me look at him.

The first thing I noticed was his uniform which was yellow on the inside but black on the outside. It also had a badger on the left side of the chest symbolizing Hufflepuff college which generally had the kindest students. The student looked to be around 16 years old, so he was in his fifth year.

"Uh huh, yea I don't know where I am. I came here from the orphanage in the forest. After walking for a long time I finally arrived here." I said as I tried to play the sympathy card as much as I could.

And it worked. The student suddenly had a kinder face when talking after knowing I came from an orphanage.

He then hurriedly said "Okay there is no need to worry now. I will take you to the professors to help you." I wondered how stupid must he be to not realize that the only forest near Hogwarts was the Forbidden forest. But that was fine for me since it meant less explaining for now.

He then led me through some stairs and corners towards a room that had a little bigger door with a sign written next to the door. It said there "Professor McGonagall."

'Oh, so we are going to the Gryffindors college head McGonagall. Although not the worst but also not the best either. But it should be done to continue with the plan and not change it.

The student I still didn't know the name of knocked on the door and loudly said. "Professor McGonagall there is a kid here that isn't a student." There was a pause for a while and then another voice was heard from the room inside. "Come in"

The student opened the door and we both went in. The room looked like a transfiguration classroom but without all the desks. There were only some tables with papers on them.

"Mr. Poos you said that there is a child that isn't a student? Do you mean this one here?" The professor that had long habits and a strict face said as her gaze fell on me.

"Yes, professor. I found this child while walking on the first floor. He said that he came from the orphanage and went through the forest and entered this castle. I thought it was better for me to bring him to you." The student explained

"You indeed have true that as that was the best thing you could do. I will take Mr. - What is your name child?" The student looked a little stunned since only now he remembered he hadn't asked me my name all this time. He was a little funny to look at, to be honest.

"Eric, Eric Walker." I tried to say nervously.

"Then I will take Mr.Walker for now. Hufflepuff +5 points. You can go now."

Said professor McGonagall and the student visibly happier now turned around, and left.

Just right after the door was closed behind the student, did professor McGonagall say. "Your clothes are from an interesting magical beast Mr.Walker, mind explaining to me where did you get them?"
