Chapter 2: Potter

Godric's Hollow ,In an alley

In a dark alley but illuminated by the moon two men walked in the dark, the two men walked cautiously through the streets of Godric's Hollow, these two men were Sirius Black and James Potter, they were cautious because this night was even more dangerous than usual with what James was holding in these arms.

"Is it good?" James asked as Sirius who is returned from the street without a lampost.Sirius replied with a nod and said, "I checked with 'Revellio' and no one was there." James looked at the street worriedly, Sirius could tell him was safe, but his instinct was screaming at him to not to go.

James looked at Benjamin who was sleeping in his arms and then said, "Okay, but stay behind me," James said, before putting on his invisibility cloak and disappearing with Benjamin. Sirius looked at the place where his friend had disappeared, then pointed his wand at himself and used the charm of disillusionment to disappear like his friend.

James hugged Benjamin tighter, then in a loud moan, James heard "accio cape" James tightened his hands on his cape but we could see his legs that the dark night hid, thankfully.

"I'm sure I saw it," said a voice behind "I swear Rockwood I saw James Potter and Sirius Black with a baby!" said a voice how spoke with a man, Rockwood probably, pointing her illuminated wand all around her like crazy.

"Yes yes and I'm Albus Dumbledore, Alecto, are you sure that by torturing muggles, you didn't go crazy?" said Rockwood with amusement in his voice.

"If you don't believe me, look at 'accio cape'," said Alecto Carrow's voice again, "James made every effort to keep the cape on him to prevent her from flying to Alecto.

"You saw, there's nothing, so let's continue our research on Bathilda Tourdesac and then let's go back, I really don't like this lost place" Rockwood spoke to Alecto Carrow, before turning around and disappearing without giving Alecto time to respond.

Alecto growled incomprehensible words, probably not very kind, then disappeared, like Rockwood without leaving a trace, James for almost a minute stared at the place where the two Death Eaters had disappeared and then when he was sure he would not come back James spoke "Sirius, are you there?" asked James to his friend.

"Yes, everything is fine James" Sirius' voice surprised James because he was still invisible "But what are two Death Eaters doing at Godric's Hollow!? And why are they looking for Bathilda Tourdesac?" Sirius said in one breath.

"I don't know," James replies, "But we'll have to talk to Dumbledore, he'll make arrangements to protect her, but we have to leave, I don't want to fight 2 Death Eaters at night," James said as he walked.

"You're right, it's better to protect Benjamin, we'll talk about it when we get home," said Sirius as he followed James.

James and Sirius walk through the dark streets of Godric's Hollow before stopping in front of a house. The house was quite simple not extravagant, not ugly a house that could be said "banal", James took off his invisibility cloak and then said "We have arrived".

"Uh, James, I'm sorry but I can't see anything" said Sirius with a confused expression, James looked at his friend who had just reappeared and then said "Yes, sorry I had forgotten, I James Potter allows Sirius Black to go in the Potter house and see the Potter house" James said with a hand on his heart.

Then Sirius' expression went from confusion to understanding the situation "I remember now, Fidelius charms, I had completely forgotten as long as no one talked about it, you would always be safe you and Lily if Peter held his tongue" Sirius said seriously.

"Sirius don't say that, he's our friend he may be a little afraid of everything but he was always there with us since school I trust him as much as I trust you, he would never betray me or Lily" James said confidently.

"Maybe he won't say it himself but he can say it if he is forced to reveal it, you know he's the weakest of the four of us in resistance to torture" Sirius said, James was preparing to answer when the door opened and a woman appeared.

"JAMES" screamed the newly appeared woman, she was not very tall or very small in the average she was quite beautiful with her light red hair and her light green eyes reflected the light of the moon which gave her an enchanting effect but the most striking was her rounded belly which demonstrated the imminent birth of her future child.

"Lily it's okay I'm fine don't worry" James said to his wife who hugged him "But we arrived too late to save Martha she died during childbirth" James said to his wife, speaking of his former friend the sadness appeared on Lily's face , tears could be see in Lily's green eyes.

"And the baby?" said Lily in a tense voice, in response James stepped out of Lily's arms and gave Benjamin's blankets, with Benjamin, to show Lily that Benjamin was okay.

Lily took Benjamin in her arms and began to sob silently against BenjaminNeither James nor Sirius said a word, to let Lily recover from the emotions of knowing her friend disappeared forever.

A few minutes later after Lily calmed down they all went back into the house and settled in the living room, the inside of the house looking like the outside, he had no object that he would suggest that the Potter were wizards, if the owl on the fireplace was not there.

"So what do we do?" said Lily, with a small voice due to sadness, James looked at the fire for a few seconds before saying without looking away "We must keep Benjamin I swore to Martha that I would protect him and I would keep my word" said James "Especially since this child have no longer a parent, they are either dead, disappeared or on the other side," James said, referring to the Death Eater.

"I agree I wouldn't leave him alone! I owe her at least for Martha..." said Lily, while the last sentence was said in a barely audible whisper, Sirius looked at them for a few seconds before shaking his head and said "Do what you want its don't bother me but there are more serious things to discuss" said Sirius seriously "When we come back from the hospital we met Alecto Carrow and Rockwood".

Lily went from an expression of stupor to an expression of fear, then said "It's nothing happen reassure me?!" said Lily with anxiously in his voice "Don't worry Lily we were hiding but we heard their discussion about Bathilda Tourdesac and I was wondering if you knew if she was safe?" said Sirius.

Just as Lily was about to answer Benjamin woke up and began to cry loudly, Lily began to lift him gently into her arms and say reassuring words to him, James looked at them calmly with a kind smile then got up to go help his wife.

Sirius seeing this shook his head and said "I leave the questions for tomorrow I leave you Tonight" he said, opening the door and then in a whisper he says, "And congratulations on becoming parents, early."said Sirius, looking at Lily's belly before opening the door and disappearing into the night, leaving behind the sound of a laughing baby.
