The clock in the classroom rang, signaling it was 8.00 am. A few of the students laughed, looking at the door.
McGonagall sighed when she saw Arthur cover himself in darkness and disappear again. But when all the students turned from the door and looked toward her, she unexpectedly felt angry at them.
But she respected the path Arthur had begun walking on, and told them nothing about Arthur's visit. As for him skipping class, she had already seen in those few lessons that he was very knowledgeable and that he never learned much in her classes.
Arthur, once he got out of the room headed to the headmaster's office. He arrived in front of the staircase leading to Dumbledore's office and waited patiently.
After a minute it began to move upward, and Arthur walked up. Once he arrived in the office he saw Dumbledore sitting, looking at him with his iconic smile.
Arthur did not bother about being nice and directly asked "Did I do the right thing? Or was I wrong somewhere?"
Dumbledore replied "I can't answer this question. It will be the right thing to do if you think it is. There is no absolute right or wrong, only different people."
Arthur took out a little stone from his robes and threw it to the ground. But by the time it made contact with the ground it had transformed into a chair.
Dumbledore was visibly impressed and said "You learned your lessons good."
Arthur shrugged and said "I'm a genius, your words, not mine." Dumbledore smiled but did not deny.
Arthur asked "I don't know if it was the right thing. Did I have any other option? I couldn't really let the conflicts and bullying go on when I could stop them just because of selfishness."
Dumbledore replied "Everyone has to make hard choices in life. And every choice in life has consequences, be it big or small. Do you think it was worth it? To lose your friends over peace?"
Arthur smiled and said "What peace? It's only small fights…"
Dumbledore cut him off "Only the scale is different. You did small harm to your friends, and got peace over small fights. The principle is the same."
Arthur frowned and asked "Then should I have not acted?"
Dumbledore looked sad and said "When your great grandfather started the war, I didn't act in the beginning, and many died. Only when I started fighting back did things get better. Sure even more died because of the war I started against him, but many more would have died over time if I didn't. They would have had nothing to do with me, but they would have died."
Arthur's eyes shined as he asked "So you are telling me that if I didn't act my friendships would have been intact but many more would have been destroyed from the bullying and house rivalry. It wouldn't affect me, but it would still happen."
Dumbledore nodded "You have understood. I will be honest with you, if you want to continue on your path then you will find no friends in Hogwarts."
Arthur nodded and said "I need to continue acting like the one above all, I can't appear weak in front of them or that would destroy what I did."
Dumbledore nodded and said "Indeed. And I am sorry to say this, but for now none of those students are qualified to stand as your equal. A few are talented, but their talent hasn't bloomed yet."
Arthur sighed and said "Then am I doomed to loneliness?"
Dumbledore smiled and said "Not necessarily." Arthur raised an eyebrow and asked "What do you mean?"
Dumbledore extended his arm toward the outer world and said "You may be unable to find your friends here, there still is a whole wide world for you to explore."
Arthur rolled his eyes and said "But that only works for when I am finished with school. What am I supposed to do until then. I am not very inclined on staying alone for seven years."
Dumbledore shook his head and said "I still am headmaster of this school, I have certain rights. I can give you a special scholarship, you would be able to alternate between school and exploring. Basically you go visit the world and must come back from time to time."
Arthur asked excited "What about my task of protecting Harry?"
Dumbledore replied "That's simple, you won't get out until you have learned to apparate. It is a spell that allows you to…"
Arthur said "I know what it does. Good, when do we begin?"
Dumbledore got up and said "Now. Unless you want to go back finish your transfiguration class?"
Arthur smirked and said "Let's do it."
Dumbledore extended his arm and Arthur took it. The two were instantly teleported outside the school.
Dumbledore then said "This is apparition, I already showed you before. But beware, this is a dangerous spell to practice. You can experience splinching, which basically is leaving a part of your body behind."
The two began their lesson while the rest of the school was oblivious to what was happening.
It took Arthur half a month to learn how to apparate perfectly. Fortunately he never had any incident while learning and now, after two weeks of training, he could easily apparate anywhere he ever went to.
During those two weeks, he hadn't gone to any class however, nor did anyone see him except Dumbledore.
ELENA'S POV:
Shadows became black smoke and began rising in the sky. Arthur disappeared and let place to this giant monster.
The monster was humanoid and was completely black, except for it glaring red eyes. It looked at all of them in disdain, and Elena felt suppression. She had only felt that once before, and it had come from her father when he had become angry on a servant.
The giant monster wasn't only emitting anger, there was also… bloodlust.
After what felt to be an eternity, the bloodlust subsided and I looked back toward where Arthur was standing before. But no one was there, only some residual shadows that didn't take long to disappear.
I regained my senses and tried to move, but I couldn't. I still was neck deep in the ground. But as I struggled the earth began moving and after many efforts I got out.
I heard someone cry "Go find a teacher, please!"
I nodded and ran off, not forgetting to look back. Some of them were crying. What did you do Arthur…
I found Ms. Hooch and after she got everyone out, I almost puked. Now I know why they cried. Some of them hadn't been able to hold their bladder and pissed themselves. And among them are Peter and Karol…
Classes were canceled for the rest of the day and we all went back to our dormitories, a few changed themselves but most stayed in the common room, everyone had hate in their eyes.
But the one who was the most affected seemed to be Peter. When he had changed himself he also left his room, and was welcomed by purebloods. I was shocked but I couldn't help but lament seeing the bone deep hatred Peter had in his eyes.
Next when everyone was in the common room, we were silent at first. Eventually it was Peter who talked first. He established an organization, which would have for objective to destroy Arthur. Not defeat him or just humiliate him. No, his exact words were to destroy him.
I was shocked, and I wanted to protest but couldn't seeing everyone cheering hearing him. Then I was asked whether I would join or not. In front of everyone. I didn't want to, I swear.
But I couldn't resist the temptation. If I agreed, then I would be part of a group, and I would have friends. Friends who wouldn't throw spells at me every now and then…
I nodded my head, and everyone cheered. And I even felt someone hugging me laughing. I looked in shock and almost fainted seeing it was Draco. It went unnoticed by others because everyone was doing the same to each other due to happiness, but I was shocked.
When he saw my look, he blushed and stepped back and stuttered "I.. I am s… sorry, I just wan… wanted to apologize for… you know."
What the fuck is happening with Webnovel? the category fanfiction is still there but there isn't any story in it. Or is it just me?
