CHAPTER 1: REBIRTH

I know what you're thinking and no, this is not based on Call of Duty. Ever wonder what exactly the world is? Ever asked yourself questions like "What am I? What are we? What exactly is life?" Well, I'm 19 years old and I've been asking myself those questions since I was 12 years old. Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one that thinks like this, maybe I am or maybe I'm not, who cares anyway. I decided to start looking for the true meaning of life, there has to be more to life other than going to school and getting a dead-end job. The universe has secrets, which I MUST find out! But before we go deep into that, let's talk about me!

I'm Harper .R. Jacob, R stands for Reguilon. I recently graduated Highschool, as the valedictorian, of course. I aced every single class I took in Highschool so yes I'm pretty intelligent. I lived in an apartment while trying my best to earn money for college. I'm from Jacksonville, Florida in the United States. My parents? Who cares, I left them so I could search for the truth, they tried to force me into their religion but I'm just not the religious type. I've been a quiet person my whole life but boy do I say a whole lot in my head! I'm a thorough thinker, not an overthinker. I like to prepare for every possible event, I like to look beyond reality, sometimes I think there just might be more to me. I don't like to fight, but somehow I have incredible physical strength and increased metabolism, according to the doctors that is. I am not necessarily a nice person unless I want something, but hey, isn't that basically how everyone acts? Although I believe no one on earth is like me. I prefer not to care about things that do not concern me. It's the safest way possible to live, I don't care about people as well although I'm forced to pretend care about girls just to satisfy my sexual desires. You might be thinking, "why not just pay hoes or something?" Well I do not like used girls, at all. I prefer having them fresh and inexperienced. I do not support LGBT or whatever they call it, yet I don't care what people do with their lives. Some might consider me bland or something but trust me. I just might be a force to be reckoned with. Will I ever find "love"? I don't know, it is the least of my problems after all. As of now I'm just trying to get one of the most powerful weapons on the planet, money. I love anime though, lol.

I worked part-time as an analyst at a chemical research company known as MDA, never cared about its full name though, really surprising huh, considering I've never been to college that is. I blasted their aptitude test which no one is meant to pass and they gave me the job immediately. They'd never let me in on their main operations, pretty sketchy but they payed me $150,000 weekly so I never really cared because like why would I?? That's an incredible amount of money! I only started working there about a month ago though. Pretty comfortable because I don't even have much to do as an analyst so I actually look forward to work unlike other people. Like I said though, I always observe every possible event, after working at MDA for three months I started to consider whether all they did was just to make and discover chemicals. I consider myself a master of deception and disguise but none of that was needed for investigation to be honest, they seemed really dumb, to me though. On a Tuesday evening I walked beyond the prohibited areas at the company, the company was way bigger than I figured. This is the year 2164 so I guess it was likely. I saw different rooms with weird languages, luckily I swiped a the manager's enhanced key which apparently had a decoding function. The first door I saw was decoded saying "CHIMERA Section" and immediately I knew what I was up for, I knew there would be consequences for discovering whatever was behind that door but hey, didn't I leave home to seek the truth? With that thought I immediately opened the door with the enhanced key and of course, I saw chambers with genetically enhanced beings restricted. On one side I saw something looking like a dinosaur and a large human had a baby, on other sides I saw genetically crossed bears, birds, lions, panthers and many other animals mixed with humans. They all seemed to be asleep though. As the gentleman I was I kindly left them to sleep, I would have freaked out if I didn't have a strong mind. I was surprised there was no scientist there, although I took out the security cameras before the adventure, I am the analyst after all. I moved from room to room seeing strange things from wondrous gadgets to wondrous creatures till I reached a room called "ROOM 219" I began to hear the voices of all the scientists which made me wonder why they were all gathered there, I over heard stuff about radioactive particles and proton shards from the earth's core and I wondered whether it was comic discussion night or something but then I thought about the incredible stuff in the other room and realized they might have been serious. I decided to take the back door to the Room 219 which apparently only the manager was licensed to open, the door said "Keep away with a symbol for avoiding toxic radiation" I didn't keep away, for someone with so much intellect, that was dumb as hell! I went through the door and the first thing I saw was a layer of metal (lead) shield protecting the scientists on the other side and to my side I saw an ape, I was terrified for the first time ever and as I was about to flee, the door was sealed shut by the one of the scientists, the ape was afraid of me so it backed itself into a corner. Since I was 196 centimeters tall I jumped and banged on the observation glass above the lead cover demanding to be let out. As I looked up I saw an opening, from it came some kind of giant pistol looking gadget with shards and orbs inside and around it. At that point I thought, "How the fuck did I let this happen?!!" And forth came a giant ray of light that bombarded me with several particles each second. For some reason the blast destroyed everything around the large company in a matter of seconds, I had already accepted death with my body being engulfed in flame like compounds and my body slowly losing consciousness. I thought that was the end, I thought that was my death, but that circumstance, that event, was my REBIRTH.
