The tunnels to where we came from

The most trials that emerged from the waters were mostly fights with water users and other water creatures.

Nicole was successfully in going through all of them finally getting to the resting bird. He didn't grab it nor take any forceful actions against it.

"Why have you decided to abandon the people? They need you," He began.

The bird remained silent and also did its eyes remain closed.

"I have passed all your trials so I should be given even a second of acknowledgement, no?" He pushed on, hoping to say something that would trigger the core's attention.

"Cheap trials you have put up with."

"You should return to them. They seem sorry for whatever they may have done to you."

"Stop sleeping when you have a job to do. Lazy core!"

All to no avail. The bird continued ignoring and not for a second did it think of opening an eye.

"You should apologize to them," Nicole sighed.
