"How do you think spirit masters control the spirit soul if it is able to float? and why?" A stern black hair blue eye teacher asks the class of 10 spirit apprentice. she waits for a couple of seconds before calling on a random student in the middle of the class. "Because it's his?" The student replied, unsure of himself. "That is the simple answer. Can anyone go into more depth? she asks while looking around. a white slender hand is raised from the back of the class. "Tang san, can you please elaborate on what bio xen just said?" she says with clear praise in her voice

"Yes, the soul is part of us and is like a muscle."Tang san says in confidence. "Tang san, that's correct. The soul is part of us, needs practice to be able to manipulate it like a baby practicing how to walk, most soul masters rely on intent and instincts to control instead of practice, some can control with their mind but most spirit apprentice will not be able to this until having your spirit for a couple years and practice. so the body can get used to the new muscles.

yuehan tries moving the second hand but only manages to turn his face red from holding in his breath in.

yuehan can't figure it out, so he decides to think of an escape plan instead of wasting his energy.

"ok, I can just slow down time and walk out of here. If I could walk the speed of light since the most, I can manipulate time for 12 minutes with the lower power and range setting, but I can only manipulate time for 25 seconds or or stop it for 5 seconds with the smallest settings using all my spirit energy and making one hell of a headache for a good five minutes until my spirit energy refill to 10 percent of my normal capacity. so I'll be vulnerable to the spirit beast on the way back. so that's out of question. " yuehan says in realization that he is practically back at square one when he didn't have his soul ring. still trapped between soul beasts, eyeing each other as food, and almost no power to stop it. yuehan digs a three feet hole with a piece of wood that he found from the ground.

after going three feet down and 5 feet wide, his stomach starts to growl in need of food, but the only food in the surroundings is the dead blue hybrid and plants that he has never seen before. yuehan looks up and notices the sun is in full mass now and decides to start a fire in the now dug pit so he can roast the hybrid over the pit with the stick he just dug the pit with. he starts the first with Flint and the steel dagger. He doesn't have anything to evenly roast, so he only cooks one side.

1 hour later, yuehan gets the hybrid off the fire and cuts it with the steel dagger to take a piece of meat. when he does, he notices that the color indicates it is undercooked. the whole hybrid was undercooked. not just the farthest from the fire. yuehan still eats the meat after he split it from the creature other body parts. yuehan eats the meat quickly. the beasts in the tree is watching him cool and eat his meal and are drooling at the mouth just watching. a few beasts start walking without thinking. a direwolf, a fire raccoon, and a black leopard that yuehan couldn't make out from the distance.

the direwold and the raccoon both charge at yuehan too greedy for the food. the direwolf gets there first and goes for a bite at the meat without looking at yuehan. the raccoon seeing this decides yo turn back thinking no food will be left because of the direwolf.

yuehan noticed the four and a half feet direwolf when it was just leaving the woods. yuehan backs up two feet away from the meat and takes out his pocketwatch, and quickly turns the seconds hand to 4, and the hour hand to 3. leaving the minute hand alone, letting the radius be nothing except him and concerv more energy.

when yuehan saw the wolf leap for the meat, he swung the dagger, still covered in blood and meat bits. yuehan catches the direwolf off guard, causing a slash to the ear and making it focused on him while walking in cycles, ready to attack. yuehan pulls the dagger in front of his face in a crouch like position yet easily able to move if needed. in doing so, blocking his head or at least making it harder to hit and being close enough to the ground to evade quickly. the wolf slowly lowers its body, waiting for an unguarded moment. it attacks when yuehan was readjusting his position to his sudden lower body position.

the direwold swiped but misses when yuehan lays on the ground to evade. yuehan is able to react to the wolf attacks because his soul ring slowering down his perception of time, but not his body's, so he has two think of the action immediately and prepare the necessary action.

the wolf claws start growing longer, more shiny like iron. the beast used a soul skill. yuehan rolls to the left, seeing this action, and quickly gets up while the wolf reposition itself. the wolf launched itself faster than before using his claws in the ground for extra force.
