Returning with the water Vince heard her praying as she keeps rubbing her mom's feet. 'Are they Christians?' Listening to how she was praying not wanting to disturb her.'
When she finished praying, waiting for a minute then said, "Here is the water," Georgia hurriedly took the water and sprinkled it on her mom's face, then used her wet hand to wipe her face.
When Vince heard her say, "Oh God, it is already five minutes and she hasn't opened her eyes, what should I do? Mom, open your eyes, mom are you hearing me, please open your eyes."
Becoming exasperated as fear consumed her heart, Georgia constantly wiped her mom's face with her wet hand.
Ten minutes have already gone and she still didn't open her eyes. Vince sees how Georgia was sweating so profusely, wondering, 'If she will also faint?'
When she asked almost in a whisper, "Can you make a call for me quickly please?"
Knowing this was all his fault he couldn't refuse, "Yes, just give me the number," Vince dialled the number quickly as she calls it out.
Time seems to stand still, as the bussing sound of the phone keep ringing. Then he heard Georgia say, "When she answers, please put the phone on loudspeaker, so I can speak with her."
Seeing Carol running inside, hearing Georgia said to Carol. "Get the pressure kit and the sugar machine quickly Carol.'
Vince could not help observing the child crying, hating himself for being inquisitive, but the person was speaking at the other end. Resting the phone near her, when she said, "Sid, Mom is not well."
Georgia was almost in tears when she heard the melodious voice asks, "Georgie, how long did that happen?"
"Sid, it must be about ten to fifteen minutes now." Feeling as though her heart would jump out her chest. Georgia felt the tears would roll out her eyeslids any moment. When she looks up seeing Haley crying she stifle the tears, took a deep breath and calm herself down. Not wanting to scare Haley more than she is already.
On the other side, Sidney knows of Georgia's fears so she calmly asks, "Georgia, has mom opened her eyes as yet?"
"Not yet, Sid, I am so scared?"
"I know, stop worrying, she will be okay, I don't want you to be scared, have you used the wet rag on her face yet?"
"Yes, I am doing it as we speak, but she is not responding, what should I do?" Vince could hear George's voice she was almost in tears and panicking again.
"Okay Georgia, I want you to listen to me, Mom will be okay, just keep wiping her face and let Carol and Haley keep rubbing her feet and hands. I am coming home right now, and Georgia, did you call the doctor already?"
"Not as yet Sid, we call you first."
"Okay, try not to panic, just continue using the wet rag on her face, and I will be there the next half hour."
Standing next to Georgia overhearing the conversation, he realized that she had a calm demeanour and was able to soothe Georgia's heart so she was much calmer now.
In no time Georgia called out to Haley, "Haley, honey gets a clean rag and soak it; don't cry love Mom, will be alright."
Vince notices when the child leaves the hall Georgia wipes her face, she didn't seem so scared now, which was good.
Noticing Carol rubbing her feet, Vince went and knelt beside her and begin rubbing her hand as Georgia keeps wiping her face.
As soon as her eyes opened, Carol took her pressure and then went and gets her medication. "Mom, drink this, good girl, now I want you to relax."
"Mom," Haley calls out to her as she stood there crying, "Come, honey, I am so sorry I scare you."
Vince notices when Haley hugs her, her mom closes her eyes once more, but she keeps stroking the child gently to reassure her that she was okay.
Hearing a horn Georgia said, "Haley honey, will you get Mom one of her milk drinks, then run to the front, I hear a vehicle."
Seeing the child leaves then Georgia asks, "Mom, didn't you take your medication this morning?"
"Sorry love, with all the orders; I have completely forgotten. I am so sorry for making you all worry so much, and all the work is being kept back because of me."
"Mom, you are more important than the work, but you know she gets nightmares when she sees you get sick."
"I am sorry for making you worry love."
Listening to Georgia coaxing her mom to relax, "Never mind Mom, it already happens and we can't change the past, now come on let me get you to bed, sometimes you scare me half to death."
"George, honey, I hope you didn't call Sidney and disturb her from working or tell her anything?"
"Mom, I am sorry, but when you took so long to open your eyes, I had no choice, it was almost fifteen minutes but thank God you are okay."
Vince hears when she instructs Carol to go to the front, while she settles her Mom on her bed."
'Why are they shielding Sidney from seeing her mom's condition?' When Georgia said, "Mr. Montgomery please avoid telling my sister anything."
"But you spoke to her already, what is there to avoid?"
"Yes, I know but if she comes and sees Mom relax, she won't worry."
"But!"
"Look if she sees Mom like this, she will call off the wedding, and that will bring about more tension and stress in this family."
"You have nothing to worry about, what happens in your house should stay right here."
"Thank you very much."
'Gosh, they have no idea that she doesn't want to marry me.'
"Look, just don't say anything, do like you just come."
Thinking, 'Only a fool will think I just come especially when she already speaks to me on my phone, well only if she knows it is my phone, so who cares?'
Seeing her running inside the house, that very moment and Haley was right behind her.
She didn't seem to be panicking or stressed out, all she said when she see Haley following her was, "Honey, you go and help Carol, the truck will come just now," Then she hurried in and asks Georgia, "Georgia, how is Mom now?" Hugging George, "Good girl, you did well." Vince look at her as she brush passed him.
'It seems as though she is not aware that I am here, but then she turns suddenly in my direction seeing me. Noticing how her right hand reaches towards the bed head cabinet and open it then took out cotton and stuff in both ears. While she was doing that her left hand was gently stroking her mom's face so gently.
Her face was frosty as she leaned over her mom to check her eyes.
'Dear God, I now understand why I keep hearing a bell. Every time he is near me that is when it happens.'
