Chapter 5: Not Suited for a Fight!

"Gwah," Roared the evil spirit as it swung its three arms at Hakai. Managing to hit him with all three one after another, he fell more and more until his face became planted into the ground. The spirit looked up and opened its mouth. Using condensed negative energy, it gathered a dark ball near its mouth and looked down at Hakai with it.

Boom!

The spirit shot the condensed energy ball at him, striking back. It dug a massive crater into the building and the under foundation.

"Hah..!" Expressed Hakai in pain as he laid face flat, blood gushing out from his nose and mouth. "No way..." He said as he groaned in pain. "I'm not fit for a fight!" He shouted as he looked at his hand and clenched his fist. "The strikes aren't the problem. It's my weakened body!" He expressed to himself while his forehead creased.

"Hahn!" The spirit screamed as it looked down into the ten-foot-deep crater. Looking up, Hakai noticed the building in chaos as it shook from all the damage. "Bastard, the poor kid will be in trouble if I don't do anything!" Angered, he started grinding his teeth. "Get up, loser. Get up!" He shouted in anger as he picked up his dagger next to him.

"Dinn!" The noise of another condensed negative energy filled the crater. "Shit, another one!" His eyes narrowed. "This one's going to take down the building!" He shouted to himself with urgency.

"The kid matters way more than my worthless self!" He inspirited himself up as he clenched the daggers. "Move!" He screamed as the more charged negative energy ball was hurtled down his way at an incredible speed.

Boom!

The crater deepened, and the building shook in chaos as the upper floors began collapsing.

"Mommy!" Screamed the little kid as he hurtled into a ball.

Shkeen!

Hakai luckily used his unique eye technique in time. Teleporting behind the spirit, he dashed towards the kid. But he realized that the phantom held back as it turned around and swung its massive arms, smashing him down to the ground with great force. Hakai's face dug into the ground as he received a constant beating from the spirit.

"Help me!" Screamed the kid as rubble surrounded his tiny body.

"Shit, shit, shit!!" His eyes burned with the fires of the destruction of everything in front of him.

"Move!" He glared while twisting his body to face the spirit while stopping the beating he took from its massive three arms, stopping two of the spirit's arms with his hands and the other with his foot.

Bam!

He leveraged his body up and kicked the spirit in the back of its head, sending it crashing near the kid.

"Ahh!" Screamed the kid as the spirit cleared the rubbles around him.

"Get up!" Hakai told himself as he lay on his back, arching his head and looking at the kid.

"Hey, kid. It's okay." Hakai comforted the kid as he managed to stand up with his ripped clothes.

"Mister." The kid noticed Hakai's existence because Hakai made contact with him first. Then, wobbling towards the unharmed kid, he fell to his knees next to him.

"Are you okay?" The kindhearted kid made sure while still in fear, totally ignoring himself.

"No worries, get out of here before it manages to stand up again." He told the kid as he felt himself assisted with standing up.

"Hmm, together." The kid said with tears in his eyes while helping him up.

"Fair, kid." Hakai's pupils flared.

Bam!

The spirit punched Hakai out of the building. While in the air, he maneuvered, dropped his weapons, and managed to grab and protect the kid in mid-air.

Bang!

Hakai's back smashed into a building. "Ugkh!" He uttered in agony while blood gushed out of his mouth. "This is bad!" He said as he opened his arms to check on the kid. "You're not hurt, are you?" He asked while looking at him in a daze."No, I'm fine." The tiny kid answered while gazing at Hakai with respect. "Aren't you hur-" The kid's reassurance question was cut off by Hakai informing him about his next move."Idiot, do I look hurt?" He asked the kid as he stood up and placed him on the ground. "Go, I don't feel like losing today!" Hakai told the kid while standing up slowly, facing the direction of the spirit."Hmm, got it. Do your best, mister!" The kid encouraged his hero as he took off running.

"I will!" Hakai said as he leaped towards the spirit without his daggers that he dropped on the ground to protect the kid.

Shoop!

He picked up the dagger while in the air. His pupils vanished, and his dark red eyes consumed the spirit.

"Ahe!" The evil spirit sounded in fear.

As he got closer, the spirit swung its massive arms at him, but in an instant, he vanished. Then, noticing the footsteps of Hakai behind its neck, the vile phantom roared in anger. "Gwah!"

Hakai enchanted the unique charms given to him by the heavens while stabbing as deep as his daggers could. "Evil spirit of darkness, created to destroy, vanish." Hakai chanted as a spell circle, and above it, a wheel of divine writing appeared, reducing the phantom to thin air. The spirit's chaotic screams of fear finally stopped, and Hakai took a deep breath as he fell to his knees from its neck.
