Chapter 92

My dad and his wife is here. So I see that dad is already free from hospital. That's good to know, I think. Earlier, I am hungry but now? I lost my appetite. I don't want to eat anymore and I don't want to join the table but my brother will be mad, I will do this just for respect. I will set aside my anger. 

"Hi Hadley, how are you?". My dad ask. It's been a long time since I heard him to ask me if I am doing okay or not. This time, I heard his voice again and that makes my heart broken into pieces. 

I bow down before I answer, he is looking at me and I don't have any guts to look at him. I don't want to lie in front of him because it will be too obvious that I am not okay most especially if its about our family. "I am okay, I am doing good". I said with no energy at all. 

"That's nice to hear from my daughter, I heard you are also candidate for valedictorian, as your prize because of how hardworking you are, I have a gift for you". He said.
