Chapter 19: Eleven Years Old!

Time flies, and in the blink of an eye, Bell has turned eleven.

Persistence pays off. In September next year, before going to Hogwarts, known as the "safest place in the entire magical world," but actually the "most dangerous place in the entire magical world," Bell finally successfully achieved his initial plan and became fully equipped.

From head to toe,

On his left ear, he wears a "Danger Perception Earring." When there is malicious intent or an attack against the wearer, the earring transmits different magical fluctuations according to the level of danger.

Around his neck, he wears an "Armor Enchantment Necklace (Passive)." This passive armor enchantment accessory automatically triggers upon being attacked. Because the magic is infused in advance, the defense is fixed.

His clothes can effectively reduce curses and physical damage and can also activate the "Complete Protection" spell to provide widespread protection for companions.

On his chest, he wears a temperature-regulating badge, which not only keeps him warm in winter and cool in summer but also slightly reduces damage from fire and ice.

On his right wrist, he wears an "Armor Enchantment Bracelet (Active)." Compared to passive armor enchantment accessories, active ones have the advantages of simple production, affordable prices, and the ability to actively enhance defense by infusing magic.

He wears three rings on his fingers in total: an "Armor Enchantment Ring (Passive)," a "Sleeping Curse Ring," and a "Flight Spell Ring." Among them, the Flight Spell Ring is bound to Bell's wand as the target of the spell.

Around his waist, he has a "Shape-Shifting Belt" that can transport the user to a pre-designated location when facing fatal injuries. Because it involves the participation of house-elf assistants in its production, even standard anti-illusion displacement barriers cannot restrict it. However, it's worth noting that if one dies directly, they'll end up as a flying corpse.

On his feet are "Flying Shoes." Developed specifically for combat, they greatly enhance explosive power, making them difficult to control. Bell crashed into several walls before barely mastering them.

He also carries with him a "Confundus Mask" (to disrupt enemy spellcasting and targeting) and "Enchantment Glasses" (developed based on the magical eye of Mad-Eye Moody). Due to their effects, they're inconvenient to wear constantly, so he only carries them with him and uses them when needed.

As mentioned before, Bell has layered himself with three shields.

Because Bell can also cast defensive spells himself, the main purpose of these accessories is to defend against ambushes and buy time for Bell. Therefore, three shields are enough; having too many would be wasteful.

Now Bell can finally hold his head high and meet people confidently.

The production methods of these magical items have all been handed over to his father, William, for mass production and research and improvement.

This has provided a lot of convenience for the expansion plan of the Minashel family, so now both William and Elena no longer treat Bell as a child. Bell's status in the family has greatly improved, although he's still the third in line, which hasn't changed. Ahem, by the way, the last one is William, and of course, the first one is Mother.

If the research and development of the above magical props were purposeful and planned by Bell, then the research on the Two-Faced Mirror was purely accidental, and it was also a surprise to Bell.

The Two-Faced Mirror is not highly valued in the magical world. After all, if you want to talk to someone, it's much more convenient to just apparate over for a face-to-face conversation. And for those non-urgent or inconvenient face-to-face discussions, owls can be used. Britain isn't that big, and owls fly fast.

But times have changed!

Modern times are different from ancient times. With the rapid increase in the human population, muggles' presence is almost everywhere suitable for living.

Especially in recent years, there has been an increase in the number of wizards from muggle backgrounds, and there are also many wizards living in muggle communities. So often, to avoid being noticed by muggles, you can't use apparition casually. And according to feedback from wizards, even owls have started to raise suspicions among neighbors.

In summary, Bell believes that there is a growing demand among wizards for new forms of communication.

At first, Bell's research progress on the Two-Faced Mirror was not smooth. Although he easily achieved transmitting images and sounds simultaneously, he couldn't transfer information between mirrors that weren't a pair.

Wizards aren't all wealthy people who can afford a mirror for every acquaintance; that's just not practical.

Until Bell remembered the knowledge he had once acquired about networks.

When different computers transmit data through the network, they don't directly transfer data to each other. During transmission, data needs to pass through many routers or switches for forwarding.

Based on this principle, Bell added a third-party server between two Two-Faced Mirrors to manage the connections between different mirrors. Then Bell successfully created the "Personal Terminal," a magical device similar to a handheld computer.

After creating the basic framework, Bell stopped worrying about the Personal Terminal. He handed over all the technology and his views on future development to his father, William, and completely let go. He only needs to check the research progress from time to time and study it if he's interested, or just ignore it if he's not.

The reason Bell quickly put the Personal Terminal project aside is that while making it, he accidentally discovered the true value hidden in the Two-Faced Mirror, which was astonishing and beyond imagination!

The two people holding the Two-Faced Mirror can see each other, similar to future video calls, but their principles are completely different!

Of course, that's a redundant statement. But magic is different from radio waves, and wizards are not muggles. Muggles can only make limited adjustments to radio waves through machines, but wizards can control magic as they please.

So, by adjusting the flow of magic, Bell successfully injected magic into one mirror and formed magic on the surface of the other mirror, relying on the connection between the Two-Faced Mirrors. In other words, Bell accidentally created a satellite weapon!

Of course, it's still a long way from a real satellite weapon. Right now, Bell can only cast simple spells like the "Lumos" and "Levitation" through the Two-Faced Mirror.

Bell calls this modified Two-Faced Mirror the "Surveillance Mirror." Unlike the Personal Terminal, and the "Magic Screen" (magic television) developed based on the Personal Terminal, the Surveillance Mirror is an important unfinished product that Bell has no intention of selling, after all, this is "truly hitting people through the internet," and it could easily cause trouble if used carelessly.

The Personal Terminal has been well-received by many wizards due to its novelty and versatility, but in contrast, the Magic Screen has received a lukewarm response. The main reason is that there aren't many programs to watch; apart from some news and advertisements, there's only music to listen to.

In the end, there was no choice but to borrow muggle television programs for broadcast, but many wizards are not interested in muggle affairs. On the other hand, muggle cartoons and other children's programs are very popular among young wizards, boosting sales.
