The Red head stranger

Jerry has just finished watching the newest episode of his favorite anime when the timer on his desk ring the familiar "DING" to sound the end of his shift. "Guess another day is over eh jerry!" Ted said across from jerry's cubicle. "Yep, Thursdays over. tomorrows Friday, are we still on for karaoke night, with Randy and Anne?" "Of course, we are. They won't be able to go without me! you guys will just embarrass yourself there without me, the star singer of our ragtag crew." chuckled Ted.

Jerry smiled, saving his files on his computer and cleaning up his desk. "Ok then, Ted. tomorrow after our shift. I will try to bring my 'A' game on!" said jerry while typing the send button on his report on the computer. Finishing the last task before he could clock out on the digital time manager on the dashboard.

Jerry a regular office clerk at a soft drink company. His salary not that bad despite the cost of living in his city. However, he can't help but think that somehow something is missing within his life. On his two years at the company, he did make two best friends at the office, Theodore 'Ted' Smith and Randy Davidson. Both of them share his love and hobbies like video games or watching anime's alike. Not only that, they frequently hang out on weekends, spending a lot of Friday nights around town, bar hopping or just having the regular gaming nights. Most of the time they usually have fun at his home. Little do they know something different is about to come their way before this week is over.

Jerry finally tidied up his belongings, stand up and with a fist bump with Ted, he signaled that he will be on his way home for the day. "Well got to go, man." he went out of teds' cubicle and head straight to exit.

Before he reached the exit, Jerry looked a bit around the room, searching for his friend for another friend of his. Earlier Randy went to Ted and him and asked them if they want some coffee, he said will be going a few late. It seems that he still needs to finish something. "Randy sure is taking his time for a coffee break. Same old randy, huh. the same routine, every day." Jerry Said with a final glance around the office for Randy, who can usually be seen a lot of time walking around the office, especially on the copy machine area. Jerry always is more efficient than his two best pals. that is why every day he made sure to finish his work at least a couple of minutes after his regular shift than his two best buddies, so he can goof around and relax before he can go home.

'I guess I'll be seeing randy on the way outside,' Jerry thought. No use waiting for him here. His possibly still there at the coffee shop stall.' The coffee shop where Randy always buys coffee is just across the street, from their building. A small coffee stall, which is famous because of their own blend, owned by a friendly and short man named Toni.

Without ado, he went outside the office walked through the hall. Then while going downstairs on the escalator, he saw on the clear glass window, that it's already drizzling outside. "Oh no," he said. 'Just the time that I did not bring an umbrella.' He is wearing a jacket over his polo shirt with matching slacks and body bag over his shoulders. His jacket could withstand water, no problem. Though only if it's drizzling. However, if the rain pours down, then he will definitely be soaked.

"Oh Boy, I need to hurry home, before it, rains," Jerry said aloud as He passed the security check at the entrance. Then when he is about to exit the automated sliding doors, he suddenly saw something weird! A cute, redheaded girl wearing a strange purple cloak (who wears a cloak these days.) with the hood down on her back was passing by the front doors as he walks outside at the same time. He noticed her looking at him, smiling. The girl quickly winked at him as he passed her by. 'Woah! now that's something you don't see every day,' he said frowning his eyebrows. A cute weird dressing stranger winking at him, now that's something new.

Outside, with he glanced back on his shoulders on his left where the girl is heading to. He actually expects that she is just his imagination and would expect that the girl would magically disappear, when he got outside and look, just like in the movies that he is very much fond of. To his surprise, the girl did not disappear. she is standing right there looking straight back at him, still smiling. 'What the....!" Jerry suddenly surprised, turned his head back, bowed, then decided to just walk on.

Walking at a brisk pace jerry whispered to himself "What she doing looking at me like that?" he said "Is she looking at me? oh no, I might have something on my face? or maybe she thought I'm somebody that she knows? or worst! I could look like her ex?! oh my god! what am I thinking!" jerry thinks to himself now beginning to feel nervous. I'm not used to this, what's happening. This has got to be the weirdest experience that he would ever have, he thinks. Still walking Jerry almost at the streets ahead, decided to take a quick glimpse back if she is still there? he turned his head slowly over his left shoulder and then... "What?!" to his surprise the girl is walking on his direction following him. 'Oh no, she is now following me! wait, maybe she wanted to sell me something. Credit card, insurance, yeah that must be it!' Jerry tried to think about what to do next, then he remembered! Randy was just across the street buying coffee. Great! I'll just go over to him, he will know what to do.

As he reached the side of the road, across him on the other side of the road, he can see Randy Blowing on his hot coffee, somehow noticing him. He waived, turned on his right on the nearest pedestrian lane so that he can cross the street. To his luck, as he arrived, the traffic light turned and Jerry together with a couple of people started crossing. He walked briskly trying to hurry up his pace not looking back again, then turn to the coffee shop for his friend Randy.

Quickly he found randy taking cover from the rain at the coffee shop stall. Randy holding his smoking hot coffee notice him quickly, "Yo jerry! going out already? Ted's still back there, huh?" Randy said as He approaches. He slowly leans against him to whisper, "Somethings up man, over my shoulder can you see the redhead chick following me?" Randy quickly looked past his shoulders trying to find the redhead that jerry said. "Nah, do you mean inside the buildings, man? cuz I will need to have some x-ray goggles for that." Randy said. "Wha...?" jerry quickly turned to look at the same time and was not able to finish his sentence. The girl is nowhere to be found. "But she was there a mo...." heck she must not be following him all along and must have gone a different direction, all together. whew. 'It's just all a misunderstanding' he thought. 'And why would a girl follow me anyway?' he said to himself. "hey, jerry!" Randy said tapping him on the shoulder, "what are you looking for? is the redhead still there across the street that somehow we regular geeks can't see? or somehow dude, you have developed a supernatural skill to looked inside our building, like x-ray vision." "Heh, that's funny dude, anyway nevermind. She must have turned around somewhere back there, I lost her" He replied. "Hey cmon man if you got superpowers like that, you would tell us, right? well, I would, for sure. Why not right?" Randy said smiling. sure enough, it is possible the girl has walked elsewhere and might not have been following him at all. He pulled his smartphone out his pocket, it's already past 4 o'clock. The whole street is already starting to get busy from people walking around, probably going home.

"Forget it," Jerry said back to Randy with a sigh. "Hey, you be going back upstairs then, with that coffee? I guess I'll see you tomorrow for karaoke night, ok?" Randy put his thumbs up blows on his smoking hot coffee "yeah man. Just don't go spending the night with that imaginary redhead, ok?" he said smiling. "yeah, yeah, haha very funny man, very funny." Jerry, with a final wave goodbye, went off to the edge of the pavement hailing a taxi, to go home.
